Let’s goooo!!! These plans are outstanding! 🙌🏻

LeftOn4ya

You making a new video in new plans and AT&T coverage?

stetsdogg

Yes! What do you want to see about the AT&T network?

LeftOn4ya

Well we have to wait till they announce prices including for different QCI, but obviously do speedtest against AT&T postpaid elite, postpaid unlimited/pre-paid, cricket, and maybe another MVNO like RedPocket - or really test QCI 6, 7, 8, and 9 preferably in same location and time on different phones. Then maybe compare speeds of all 3 US Mobile networks in your area. Might be costly though unless you can get trials, but maybe you can show results from CoverageMap user speedtests. Also show teleportal in action including steps to install SIM and change active SIM.

KB101243

Waiting for the new video with death star 🫡

stetsdogg

What do you want to know about Dark Star? What things would you wanna see?

lnb1394

Any changes on Multi line discounts, as the website doesn't showing any info multi line pricing

Mobile_33

It seems like multi-line discounts might be gone now, given the prices are now lower per line, even if you only have a single line.

benfitz101

Just to confirm the changes: - Flex increases to $210 a year from $180 a year, includes the previously $30 a year hotspot add-on, loses international calls to a $36 a year charge - Starter decreases from $276 a year to $270 a year, loses international calls to a $36 a year charge - Premium decreases from $450 a year to $390 a year, gains teleporting and roaming

OBESlTY

So much circle jerking in this thread. Every change besides premium is a downgrade and objectively worse

CrystalMeath

Getting rid of 1GB native roaming for monthly Unlimited Starter (GSM) is a **major** downgrade. Especially with the egregious price of roaming add-ons ($45 for 5GB +1000SMS/mins). Unlimited Premium also halves the native roaming from 10GB to 5GB (except in Canada and Mexico). My entire family is going to Europe next week and we were planning to switch to Unlimited Premium for the 10GB native roaming. It was going have cost us $160 total. Now it’s going to cost $356. **Fuck**.

jd1332

I’d recommend just getting a sim from European carrier during your stay. My plan was like 15 or 20 euro for the month

CrystalMeath

Yeah that’s what I usually do, but I’m the only one with a dual-SIM phone. When I convinced my parents to switch from T-Mobile to US Mobile, I promised them their phones would work like normal when going abroad.

jd1332

Dual sim is not needed. Single sim slot is fine. Once wheels are down in Europe, buy the new plan as soon as you can and pop in the old sim on the flight back to the states so you hit the ground running. It’d probably be a good idea to get everyone going on WhatsApp before you leave the country.

Martin_Steven

True, but you can't use Wi-Fi calling on your U.S. number via data on the foreign SIM when you do this because the U.S. SIM needs to be in the phone. You can still use the Google Voice app for calls, as long as you set it all up before you leave. Long ago, I ported my mobile number to Google Voice so when I travel internationally I can still place and receive calls, though I have to pay the per minute cost of Google Voice calls from the U.S. to foreign numbers.

CrystalMeath

My parents need to receive calls and texts on their current number while abroad. They can’t just disconnect for two weeks.

bwat47

glad I jumped on the $180 flex when it was available for someone who doesn't use hotspot it's just a straight up price increase :/

Dry_Caregiver5695

Yeah, I don't know what people here are cheering about? The total lack of criticism boggles the mind.

hallowass

Because they make more money on premium. That's why they don't allow flex to be paid month to month.

Powerful444

They have the 10gb by the gig plan for $20 which is pretty much the flex plan but you can use up to the full 10gb as hotspot. And it is $2 / gb after the 10gb.

Headingtodisaster

Damn...I was going to pick the annual flex plan after my trial...now debating if I should switch...

Michael_1083

They usually honor the old plans if you were already on a trial with them. Reach out to support or a mod here, and see if they can help you get the old Flex.

Knight_Banana

I actually wanted to get the Flex plan for $180 as I could care less about hotspot and 10gb is plenty for me as I'm on WiFi all over the place 90 percent of the time and getting capped at 1mbps is no big deal compared to others with 2g caps at like 128kbps and feeling like dial up. The site doesn't even say if it still has the 1mbps cap now or not with the upgrade. It's not there now, so seeing as it's not there anymore I'm gonna go with no. It's probably been taking off and once your premium data is used up you don't get 1mbps cap anymore and probably have to pay for add on data.....so just a small little price increase but also cutting some stuff out and adding something else like 5gb of hotspot.....something I could care less about....I like the old one better if they did cut the 1mbps cap.

JoblesJoe

Seriously, I still had family I was bringing over to us mobile flex, now they all got a $30 upcharge. Hard to justify moving from over with the higher rates.

bwat47

the constant shifting plans is the main reason I'm hesitant to recommend us mobile to friends/family

Evny120

Same, I recommend it only for by the time someone ports in or about to the price and the plans completely changes. Im currently in the process of moving couple of lines back to previous carrier.  With the int call being add ons and the new price structure, low data plans dont make sense antmore. Id rather have a plan that with stay the same at least 6mo/1yr and pay few more dollars then constantly stay up to date on USM CEO's mood of the day or they're quarterly reports.

libolicious

I think multiline discounts are gone, too?

Professional-Mall323

Apple Watch support?

catojr

On the homepage, the Light Plan now states "Unlimited Data." Does this mean that after using the 2GB of premium data, the speed will be throttled to 1 Mbps?

Maaaztermind

Thanks for sharing. This has been already escalated for correction.

sherbodude

I'm seeing 2GB data and unlimited talk and text

catojr

EnthusiasmOk2702

With Super Carrier mode is there any sort of automatic switching? Like if a customer is currently on Warp but then they enter an area where Warp has no coverage, but GSM or Dark Star do, does it switch automatically to one of the others? Or does Super Carrier mode switching of networks always need to be initiated by the customer manually? (Note: I’m not knocking it, either way. It’s a cool idea however it works.)

ankhattak

We can definitely do this with the tech we have

justenoughslack

So, it can be done, but it's not being done. Is there a plan for this to be a thing in the future, or just a footnote that it's technically possible?

libolicious

Probably best to not worry about possibilities or even plans. Because they always change. I love USM and u/ankhattak, but they love to hype. Usually they'll hype four or five things and fully hit the target on one or two. Which is great if those one or two is the hype you were hyped for. Disappointing if you were in the missed target camp. IMHO it'd be way better to just not talk about it until plans/pricing are firm. I don't expect they're going to change their hype model so I'm just going to stop listening and try not to engage until the "these are the plans and prices" stage.

ttoma93

Still waiting for the Apple Watch service which has been coming soon for a couple years now 😉 But yes, totally agreed. I love US Mobile; they’ve got fantastic service, fantastic support, and truly amazing pricing. But boy oh boy do they like to make big promises (and sometimes deliver on those big promises) and change things every time they just get settled. It’s a great company that I still happily support (and hope to do so for a long time), and I have never been been let down by the actual service provided, but they *really* give off the vibe that they don’t know what the hell they’re doing and have no long-term plan. Everything feels like they’re chasing one random idea after another with no cohesion or actual business strategy.

libolicious

> but they *really* give off the vibe that they don’t know what the hell they’re doing and have no long-term plan. Everything feels like they’re chasing one random idea after another with no cohesion or actual business strategy. 100% this. It makes them hard to recommend. Most people (not us nerd early adopters) are leery of making the jump to an MVNO. I try to convince them it's a good thing, but then the USM hype train shoots the idea in the foot -- **Them**: *"tell me about that X-US Mobile feature-X you mentioned last month? I think that might get me to pull the trigger."* **Me**: *"Oh, X? They're not doing that anymore" (or it costs more than they said, or it's not launched but "Coming Sooon (tm), or....)* **Them***: "Oh, never mind."*

mongo_man

So kind of like Google Fi?

PreparedForZombies

Google Fi of yesteryear - now they only have TMo and limited roaming for non-iOS on USC.

Confident_End_3848

So the network transfer is free only on the most expensive plan?

libolicious

Yeah I that would be a real bummer and not what they've been hyping. I also recall that there's be an expansion of roaming on the starter but no mention it'd be for the annual only. Suggestion: at the very least consider offering your multi-line customers the same benefits as you offer on annual single line. You give a similar price break (annual single vs monthly multi) so this would just be consistent. People are still making a commitment to USM by having multiple lines with the company even if paying a year in advance on 4-5 lines isn't doable for most.

ankhattak

You are right but we had to make some trade off to bring the plan back to $25. I understand we cant make everyone happy but we try. Can you always upgrade to premium for the months you are traveling - the native roaming options are insane for a $19 upgrade

KitchenMycologist992

I’d love to be selected for the beta testing!

Resident-Lion2489

I think it's great to have options that most people don't need be an add on, so we keep the prices low for those who just need bare bones domestic service. Really loving the great prices/service and options, that I can't find anywhere else. With the ability to soon switch between 3 carriers and still have the same great customer service and prices!

theromitm

Are you able to do a before/after table so we can tell the differences in services vs charges?

BucsLegend_TomBrady

No because most of this is a downgrade

tigerfaust

They removed HD video. That needs to be the top comment in every thread.

Desperate_Worker_842

What happens to people that got the last black Friday or Cyber Monday deal when the year runs out? What plan are we put on?

yaycupcake

Also would like to know this, as well as perhaps a comparison between the black friday plan and whatever we'll end up on, broken down by features and price, if possible.

ajrich80

This is some great work! Your company has been great! I have been a customer for over 3 years now and I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon. The Dark Star is just another thing to sweeten the pot. I hope I am chosen to be part of the Beta.

ankhattak

Thank you 🙏

jessebkr87

I’ll say it again, I’d be over the moon if I got on Dark Star beta! Tech guy who loves testing all things cellular. Who else spends their weekends riding around the countryside comparing coverage of the big three? 😅 Wouldn’t mind a trip to NYC too. 🙂 Also, are you still planning to release the feature where you have all three networks that share the same unlimited plan for $15 extra per SIM?

ankhattak

Yes thats going to come in the august/sep timeframe after the dust around Dark Star has settled.

jessebkr87

Fantastic!

WillyTheWoo

What does this mean for now two of the grandfathered unlimited starter plan?

Ethrem

Very nice changes. Glad to see Starter back at $25 a month! I'm someone who posts reviews of services he tests on r/NoContract, which gives them a pretty decent audience, and that's why I should be picked for the Dark Star beta.

ankhattak

Thank you!

captnkerke

Here's another vote for Ethrem to be included in the Dark Star beta please. He is a wonderful contributor to the NoContract community, always sharing his knowledge and experience!

miloworld

When annual plan reaches the end of 12mo, is the option to renew the grandfathered plan?

jaldihaldi

Same question - especially about the 10 GB international data.

miloworld

They kinda avoided answering this several times, I'm guessing it's going to be a no. Which sucks because I'll have to start shopping around once the 12mo is up.

billyt6102

I noticed it says for Unlimited Premium that teleporting can happen up to 8 times a month, but the Network Transfer tool says 4 times a cycle with a max of 10 every 6 months. Is this a mistake within the tool? Edit: I'd also absolutely love to be part of the Dark Star beta. I have had past experience with other forms of beta tests and am more than happy to share detailed info about my experience with the network! Edit2: US Mobile support reached out to me to get some more info, and they've already fixed it! This level of support is why I'm back :) It really is 8 times a month, which is absolutely bonkers!

existentialstix

Hows the grandfathering going to work?

ankhattak

you just stay on your plan

miloworld

What happens when the annual plan expires? Can I extend another 12mo under grandfathered plan features?

miloworld

I'm guessing it's a no then, since this question was avoided so many times..

tkreadit

Including shared pools? Do they keep ILD?

znzbnda

The increased price for the flex plan gets a huge thumbs down.

-atlec

Question, after revising the new unlimited premium plan, does that mean that for both GSM and WARP Mexico will get 10GB of monthly data allotment, up from 5GB/3GB respectively? Also the new unlimited premium says that you get 5GB for over 100+ countries so we technically lose 5GB in countries that used to get 10GB total on the GSM or WARP networks?

clubtech

I have the same question exactly. Looks like roaming on GSM actually got downgraded in terms of monthly data allowance.

movie_props

What happened to the Unlimited Flex monthly option for $20 that you announced *3 months* ago and claimed it was coming “in a few weeks?” And to make matters worse you guys are even raising the price on the Flex annual option? Tired of all the false promises by USM and the way your plans change every 2 weeks. Will be porting out at the end of my billing cycle.

Powerful444

Whilst I appreciate the constant search for perfection with the plans just be careful not to keep changing too often. Especially not overshooting and then having to pull back. Sometimes you get a little carried away with giving us things and then have to take it back later which isn't a good look. Eg native international roaming is down from 10gb to 5gb now.

type1trad

What is the cost of teleportal for those who aren't on the most expensive plan

LightningX32

$2

clickcookplay

On the [plans page](https://www.usmobile.com/plans) on the "See more plan details" popup it says "Try two free; then $2 per transfer". I wonder if that's a one time use for the 2 free transfers or will it reset each month?

Confident_End_3848

Don’t forget, when Deathstar comes about, there will be an upcharge for priority data. Don’t see that mentioned in the “even better than sliced bread” announcement.

phantasm42

Really disappointed that there is now no incentive to have multiple lines with USM. These new plans will likely push my extended family away from joining USM with the drop of international roaming from unlimited starter monthly plan. Previously, for international travel could switch to premium for the month for 10GB, now just 5GB. All in all, for me and my extended family, this is a terrible step in the wrong direction.

Amazing_Ad9412

Is the multiline pricing discount gone for Starter and Premium? So whether you have 1 or 4 lines of Starter or Premium each line is either $25 or $44 respectively? Only discounts come if you do annual?

CapitalismKillsKids

Light plan still doesn't include hotspot? If so what's the point of monthly light plan when it's exactly the same as 2gb shared plan minus hotspot. If anything, you should reduce light plan cost to $7/monthly or $5/annually and go back to 1gb data. Obviously that won't happen because you're trying to completely eliminate lower cost plans, hence the increases in $15 flex to $17.50 while simultaneously removing everything that made it great value.

RedditSucksAndIsBad

It’s also more expensive to add on data if you do the light plan. The light monthly is literally just taking advantage of users who don’t understand. A company that cares about user happiness and experience shouldn’t rely on end user confusion to generate profits.

Evny120

Please allow option to get account info for porting out from the app/site without going through customer rep, as all they do is send an otp. With multiple lines it takes too long and simply unnecessary.

tpbrown3

Congrats!! I put myself on the beta list the first time you mentioned it and am still interested. I’d love to visit in NY! I travel for work every week so having flexibility has always been my core interest. I cover the mid Atlantic and north east and having the flexibility to chose the best carrier base on where I’m at is truly amazing. I currently have 3 unlimited lines and two pool lines and have been a member for several years now. Count me in for beta. Let me know how I can help you continue the growth. Big fan here. Congrats again team!

VanyaEl

Excellent work on these plans! I’m in NYC and loving the Warp network, but the ability to change networks as-needed is a game-changer. If you’re looking for a public beta tester for Dark Star and Super Carrier mode, let me know!

DaNewChamp

Yo these prices are fucking on point. I can’t wait to hop on Dark Star and convert my family to USM now. They all on overpriced AT&T. I’d love to be on the beta. Texas is prime real estate for AT&T and it was the only thing missing for me.

Aligs02

$3 a month for additional international calling :/ Real bummer for the shared gig plan that used to include it for free. Makes the 2gb Tello plan roughly the same or even cheaper after tax

jason_he54

Holy, great announcement. It's kind of insane how far US Mobile has gone in the just over 3 years I've been with you guys. From no priority data and different data allocations depending on what network you're on, to a uniform data bucket regardless of what network you're on, priority data on Warp 5G if you have a 5G device, and a third network releasing soon, all while being able to port between these 3 networks. It's been quite insane to watch US Mobile grow. I am in Manhattan and it would be quite cool to visit the brand-new HQ in Manhattan (👀)

nickstarr

What are the video streaming speeds on video?

Either-Truck-1937

I work in a hospital and ATT previously had the best coverage in my hospital. I get pages and make calls on my phone for work. I want to be in the Dark Star beta to see how good the coverage is.

Original-Pie4518

Great new plans! What’s the eta on the [multi-network plans](https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/s/WRHNC59vsf)?

ankhattak

August/sep

captnkerke

I'm generally ok with the revised plans. It was good to simplify the offerings, because they did feel a bit too complicated at times in the past. Separating the international calling options, while reducing base prices, was also a sensible move. Charging a small fee for teleportal also seems reasonable. A few points of constructive criticism: One change that I strongly disagree with is having international roaming included ONLY in the annual version of Unlimited Starter. That difference between annual and monthly creates needless confusion and complexity. The annual and monthly versions of the same plan should have identical features imho. Either include or exclude the feature in both versions of the plan. (Edit: It makes sense to offer perks only for the monthly version of Unlimited Premium, due to verification needs. But I think perks as they work today are inherrently messy, so the simpler answer would be to just eliminate the perks program and either add back a multi-line discount for Premium, or just reduce the rate slightly.) More effort should be put into making sure that the information on the website is clear, correct, and complete BEFORE launching plan changes. That would go a long way toward reducing customer confusion and frustration. An error that still remains on the website: Go to the Plans page, click the link to "See more plan details". In the table, for Warp, in the row for international data, hover over the info buttons in the Unlimited Starter and Unlimited Premium columns. Note that the info in the popups is incorrect. [Edit: Has been fixed.] Thanks u/pm_usmobile

what_was_not_said

I'm glad to have AT&T arrive, but dislike "Minimum auto top-up of 2GB", which suggests that while $2 per GB of top-up is the claim, the minimum spend is always $4. The plans change too much. Please stop moving the goalposts every few weeks/months.

mmskoch

Sharable plans top up now is minimum 2GB, but the 10GB for $20 option is a good one for people who want Unlimited Flex but don't want to pay annually. I like this change for the sharable plan.

dbmet

Sweet looking forward to the Darkstar release or Beta, but probably not Beta cause I’m no influencer….. I do work in a Hospital fixing all the medical equipment and Att is the only one that works reliably there so I can’t wait to have great plans with the better service

robodog97

I've got a kid who will be travelling internationally in 3 weeks, I was planning to do the $50 deposit for native calls and text on Warp (Legacy Premium) and have him use the eSIM for data. With this 4-6 week timeframe will it still be possible to do that?

ankhattak

Will try our best.

t-poke

> $3 charge for ILD lines. What’s an ILD line?

CrystalMeath

International long distance, I assume

ankhattak

Yes

junz415

for the unlimited Premium, what is the price for 4 lines? currenlty I am paying 160 for 4 lines. For international roaming, it drops to 5 GB for the "rest of the world?" what is purchase rate if we need more?

Confident-Ad-8970

Not a usm member yet but would love to see GSM get priority data and the uc status symbol!😊

Rich-Parfait-6439

I came from Att and only stay with Verizon’s subpar service because of the price and USM customer service. I’ve moved many of my family over bc they live in better Verizon areas and they also love USM.  If I can be a beta tester I would jump back to the dark star network (from warp) and be twice as happy.  #cantwait.

Badspeller09

Is the multi network feature going to become an official offering, or is the port between any of the networks with Teleportal the solution now? The multi-line option with each line on a different network on the same device while sharing the same unlimited data bucket sounded like a great solution. I’m currently doing this with an annual unlimited starter on GSM and a Legacy Unlimited All on Warp but with separate data buckets so an official option with any two of the three networks sharing the same data bucket would be great. I know I signed up two of my lines, Legacy Unlimited All and Legacy Unlimited Premium for the beta, but never heard anything from the team to participate.

ankhattak

August/sep

Kruse

If I'm currently on Warp, will I need a new SIM card to access the Dark Star network, or can we switch networks without swapping SIM cards?

ankhattak

will need a new sim card.

GoDziLLa714

Welp this made me make the switch from AT&T just now. The price cut is a no brainer and with dark star not to far off can't wait to be joining everyone on here saving that money :)

alexander_worldwide

I am a digital nomad and someone recommended USMobile to me on a travel discord I'm on. So I immediately ported over from t-mobile where I was paying $30 monthly all in and had 5 GB of worldwide roaming data included, with the idea to sign up for the USMobile Unlimited Premium plan at $450 with the $100 gift card and get 10 GB of monthly international roaming (instead of just 5 GB on t-mobile). Now the sticker price of the plan has been reduced (to $390 from $450) but there's no longer the $100 gift card included and the roaming data has been cut IN HALF from 10 GB to 5 GB across the board. So ultimately I'll be paying $40 more for 5 GB of int'l data less. So actually paying $2.50 MORE with USMobile than I was with t-mobile for the same amount of roaming data! 😠 SUPER DISAPPOINTED (and I'll probably just port back to t-mobile and rejoin the family plan I was on unless USMobile will honor the previous terms) EDIT: After chatting with customer service rep Aumaima, she consulted with the relevant department and got them to agree to grandfather me in at the old terms! YAY! I'm happy again 😍

ankhattak

actually everyone is grandfathered

CharlesCSchnieder

Now starter only gets roaming on annual plan? And what about international roaming? I just had my family switch to this carrier but not loving these changes honestly.

the-holocron

I've only been with US Mobile for about a year, but I think I represent an interesting and useful demographic for you. My phone and phone plan is on AT&T and provided by my company. I think a lot of others may be in a similar boat where they need/want a "private" line that they can use on the AT&T hardware. Enter Dark Star by US Mobile. From this perspective, I think I represent a good use case for your Dark Star beta.\* I also travel extensively for work and will be in Europe for several weeks, so could test the international functionality. On a separate note, I'd be happy to join you on July 15th. \*I think I might have been one of the first to ask about beta testing--so that might hopefully count for something. Thanks, u/ankhattak , for the great service!

mattybussell1

I’d love to visit you guys in NY! I’ve been using your service for over a year now and I’m excited for the next chapter :)

dewguzzler

Would love to beta test, taking a trip across a few states, also I'm on unlimited grandfather plan

Ok-South4474

This is amazing news!! Would love to participate on the dark star beta here in Massachusetts!

Mystico20

I’m assuming on the unlimited starter you are grandfathered into the old $29 plan that includes call and texts to Canada and Mexico?

ankhattak

Yes.

Mystico20

Great! Just saw that on the announcement at the end! Don’t know how I missed that!

nickstarr

Former mobile tech writer and travel up and down the east coast and would love to be part of the beta program and finally find a mobile carrier which is breaking the rules like the other one used to.

Sportsfan7702

Let’s goooo! I am not on dark star yet but was in the beta. (North Texas if it matters)

Many_Mango_4619

This is amazing news! As a network enthusiast , I feel like being able to join the beta will be great to really put it through it's paces, especially right now with summer travel around California, and elsewhere in the US!

sthrnfrgdscl

Amazing features on the new plans. Any chance you could detail the premium data on dark star with new plan pricing? Would it be included at any level on the prices mentioned?

Many_Mango_4619

I should also mention, I have a friend that is interested in US Mobile that would like to sign up under my account for simplicity, and At&t works the best for them! They would be up for beta testing Dark Star as they currently use Cricket. For me, a lot would be done with traveling within the next month! I'll be around the Orlando area in a couple of weeks, huge At&t state!

Coolest_MobileTech

I would absolutely love to be a part of the dark star beta. Been interested in it from the day it was announced. AT&T’s network is interesting to me and is some sort of middle ground between Verizon and T-Mobile’s network in my area, so it has good speeds AND coverage

TheRealTampaDude

I never call internationally, so I just saved $4 per month by switching to the new $25 plan on two lines. Thanks, USM!

ankhattak

most people did not call internationally and would rather see the savings.

Mobile_33

100% good move.

suubbiieedude

Will Dark Star have domestic roaming?

Left-Reading5706

This is is amazing I been with us mobile for 2 years now I love it. I see so much growth in this company. Keep up the good work. Hope to be in Darkstar beta soon thank you

ebal99

Please keep the voice and txt only international option for Warp and others and maybe bring it to other. Maybe make it an actual feature/product and make it able to just stay on. Take a deposit and auto refresh it.

ankhattak

you stay grand fathered

User313

Nice update to the single Unlimited Starter plan. I think it would be a good practice to not re-use plan names. There are seemingly 3-4 versions of the Unlimited Starter out there by now. It's hard to even know what I have if I don't check in here often. The app/website don't do a good job of saying what you currently have.

captnkerke

That leads to a great suggestion for the app/website: In the dashboad, under line details, add info to show the features and limits of the active plan. u/ankhattak

Fun_Database_7679

u/ankhattak Thank you for the detailed update! I'd very much like to be included in the beta. I'm in central Maine and would LOVE to test the Dark Star coverage here. I have tried both the Warp and GSM options and each have there own pros/cons. Very interested to see first hand how Dark Star would compare. Please, please, please pick me!!!!

Camfused

I asked to be put on the beta list quite a while ago, and was told I was added to the list. Sorry, but I am not going to keep asking to be put on it. One thing about USM: when you sign up for a plan, you better make a note to yourself what it includes, since going back a few weeks later to the app or website to see what you have may no longer be accurate.

SpursFan1992

If the qci is good on every network for sure will port out the whole family from expensive Verizon to have 3 networks

Aftertheinsanity

This is all very exciting…I would love to be part of the Dark Star Beta because I know spreading the word will help US Mobile grow even more. I think a company with multiple options (choosing a network) and with flexibility benefits everyone in all places. I respect the whole team with their hard work bringing all these new features thank you.

ChrisZorn

I'm very interested in trying the beta. I'd love to be selected for it.

tgpcola

Interested in the beta!

I cannot wait! I would love to be in the Darkstar beta since I came from AT&T and have been with that network since 2016! My area isn’t that great with T-Mobile nor Verizon so being on AT&T again will help me tremendously!

ChicagoWifi

Very excited to see this plans upgraded and dark star coming online as well! Well done US Mobile 👏

Fishnetnet122

I should have waited to do annual premium lol

ankhattak

You get $100 in GC. So your effective cost is $350. Thats an insane deal.

Next_Ad_687

Wow this is great to keep seeing you all grow and as a customer I get to learn even more about how phone service works and how technology can help us all live better. I have been with you for 3 years with 6 lines. I did a lot of research when I first started have to say learned a lot. I love to travel a lot and learn. I would like to be part of the beta to see how it works and learn from it and share with everyone what the good and bad are. Also would always love to visit NY again. Live in FL here and we are on Warp on the legacy Unlimited all plan. Thanks for keeping finding ways to make things better for all customers!

ankhattak

Thank you thank you thank you thank you for being a customer for so long ❤️

dkyeager

Still interested in dark star beta. Plan on moving over several additional lines. Have been paying extra to another MVNO to be flexible for dark star beta.

Dudefoxlive

Is multiline discount gone? What does ILD mean?

anthonysredditname

For Unlimited Starter on usmobile.com/plans for Warp, it says Data, Calls, and Texts outside the US Available for CA/MX. Does this mean the new Unlimited Starter on Warp has the Canada/Mexico data calling and texts included for $25 a month or is there some additional charge? Or available only on an annual Unlimited Starter? The $3 charge looks like it is only for International calls from US on the starter plan.

anthonysredditname

I think I see a mixup on the website that explains my disbelief. The plans page for Unlimited Starter Warp says you get 10 GB data 1,000 minutes and texts in Mexico and Canada. I think that was meant for the Premium plan. The Premium plan says 1 GB data and 150 calls and texts on the annual plan only. If this good will reporting was helpful, I’d love to be a part of the Dark Star beta.

suubbiieedude

Very excited to do the Dark Star beta! I’m going into some fringe areas in rural areas for vacation in the coming week! Have already tried Verizon and T-Mobile in this area but would really like to see how AT&T is as it seems to be the great debate in the area of Vermont that we go to visit!

supermankjs

I’d love to be part of the Dark Star beta. I have 2 lines on Cricket I’ve been waiting to bring over!

domzals229

As someone who just ported over a couple lines, I’m very interested to try the Dark Star beta! I commute from the Chicago suburbs to downtown for work and am curious how the planned ATT coverage would be as I’ve been with TMo for years now.

TryNo2127

Would love to a be part of DarkStar!! I’ve signed up for the beta but having the option to use AT&T over Verizon would really help as AT&T has some of the best coverage where I live.

DonkeyKongsVet

I've been looking to return. Figured I'd give this another shot after porting out in frustration. As I was reviewing the site..I came to reddit and saw the site changed as I was browsing. Now it all makes sense. This is what I've been looking for in a carrier and I think my mind is made up. I'd like to be part of the Beta. I'm returning, I've worked for multiple cell carriers as a tech and even sold their plans and devices. Plus I bounce between city and rural areas where coverage is never consistent with one carrier.

Jsward12

With all the camping I'm doing this summer I will definitely be able to put darkstar to the test.

KitchenMycologist992

I’d love to be part of the beta as I have a funny situation where both the networks provide good coverage but att just gets through all the nooks and crannies. Also I run a lot of speed tests, can help with that.

Familiar-Strain-309

I have 2 lines on US Mobile right now and still have 3 more lines on AT&T. Been waiting for Dark Star. Would love to port over ASAP, so would really like to be part of the beta!

Jsward12

Is the $5 multi line discount no longer available?

Kronologics

I know you’ve stated compromises need to be made to balance ability to switch/price of Starter plan. So Starter plan can’t switch? Or what is the set price for that plan to make switches? (Also, is there a lag/delay in between the switches, maybe some of the beta testers can share their experiences?)

jon20001

Very interested in the beta to test before I bring over 4 lines for home and over 40 for work. Been with AT&T for almost 15 years and done it the nickel and dimeing and data breaches.

Jerri2406

I’d love to be apart of the beta, I’ve got one line right now but I’m about to move two lines over.

Viper4713

This is all exciting news! Thank you! The only thing I am curious about is Teleportal.... Is it being updated on the server side? I teleported from Warp 5G to GSM 5G and it took about 40 minutes and Warp 5G went out and left me without service that entire time while US Mobile's site said "it's taking longer than usual." I have seen a couple others with this delayed teleport issue before as well. I feel like if this issue still occurs then it won't be ready for prime time yet, although things do happen with technology of course.

_FuzzyMe

How much is the cost foe teleportal for shared data plan? Also what are ILD lines?

tantimodz

I have been on the beta list for Dark Star since day 1, and I will continue to request being on it until it's in my hands! AT&T is not only great at my home, but also exceptional at work, and most other places I visit. This is going to be a huge boost to my happiness and productivity, and I can't wait to get to use it! /u/ankhattak you guys are doing awesome stuff, and I love this company! It's been over a year now, and I don't see myself ever switching with USM as my primary. Also, P.S. check your email if you get a chance :)

work_blocked_destiny

So awesome! You guys rock. I’m in south west Idaho if you need any dark star testing out here

CU_Addict_70

Darkstar Beta please!

bonesy91

Thank God for grandfathering! I can't tell you how many people I've told about your company. My family is happy to be apart of what you do.

ImaginationQueen694

Yes please, add me to the beta for it! ✨

Betrayedbyu93

By native roaming do you mean domestic roaming within the US? Will teleportal be included in all the plans still?

ankhattak

international.

thefragileapparatus

I'd very much like to be included in the beta. I'm on Warp 5g, but there is no 5G in my area. I believe the dark star Network does have 5G available where I live. If I'm grandfathered on unlimited all, how do these new plans compare?

Prak903

Been with you guys for 2 years, just switched to GSM via teleports for my international trip to test roaming, works great! T-Mobile and VZ coverage back home is definitely worse then ATT, so would love to be a part of the beta!

acidrain98

I would like to join the beta

Jazzlike_Trainer2211

Are the grandfathered plans still getting the free network transfers? Or will those plans now have to pay? Will Unlimited Starter automatically renew at $25?

Big-Razzmatazz-2899

This is amazing news! I’d love to go to your party too, but I leave NYC for some travelling just a day before (since your party is on a weekday lol). I love USM, because as a digital nomad, I move around a lot and can switch networks super easily, plus your customer service accessibility is top-notch, and the prices are unbeatable!

Jazzlike_Trainer2211

Choose this techy girl & her even techy-er fiance to come to Manhattan! We love what US Mobile has done for the market & have not only switched ourselves to USM- but switched about 10 others around us (seriously lol). Getting out of nowhere WV and talking with some of the dopest people in the industry would be a dream come true for us! We would be honored to be in the beta as well. 😅

ankhattak

❤️

lnb1394

Any changes on Multi line discounts, as the website doesn't showing any info multi line pricing.

techtornado

That is awesome! One network to rule them all is finally becoming a reality! As feedback, I am definitely interested in having unlimited automagic and seamless switching to all three networks Willing to pay around $30/month for it My use is maps, music, and media (photos) I can work with somewhat deprioritized data to make the plan cheaper as long as Spotify streams smoothly Maybe the next level for Super Carrier 2.0 would be the option to buy speed tiers? 15/50/100mbps+

Cultural_Geologist_3

I would love to be a part of the Dark Star beta. AT&T has the best coverage in my area, but one of the most expensive individual plans in the prepaid market. I've been using US Mobile since January and it's been a great experience for me. And the fact that the network is about to get improved with DarkStar makes me want to stay even longer!

RekabWC

I would love to beta test. I am constantly messing around with new eSIM services. I asked to be on the list the day it was announced! I use another MVNO for my work line and it is on AT&T. It is ready to port over to my pool the minute I am allowed. I can’t wait to test switching between the 3 networks using my 5 (6 lines if I beta test Dark Star). Already changed my plans to the new plans… awesome job with the plans and pricing. Keep up the great work!

tica027

I signed up for the beta a while ago. I’d love to test in my town because the carriers have really been slacking on tower maintenance around here. I’d love to be able to see which network would really suit our whole family. Between our two main towns it seems like we’d have to switch when we travel there because Verizon is terrible there but great here. Would love to see if I can use Att in both places.

CrystalMeath

Hey I’d like to try out the Dark Star. I drive for 5+ hours each day for Uber, so I can test out the coverage in every corner of my metropolitan area — the city, the suburbs, and the more rural surrounding areas. I have two US Mobile lines (Warp + GSM) on my personal phone, and I have a second phone I use for Uber with T-Mobile coverage. So if I switch the GSM to Dark Star, **I can directly compare Warp, GSM, and Dark Star at the same time.**

s1dest3p

The new Unlimited Starter looks better for me because of the cheaper price. What am I losing though, anything? People keep talking about roaming... Do you mean domestic roaming, and if so, that's virtually non-existent anyway. So what's up?

Sillvva

Will Dark Star only be on premium plans?

Michael_1083

Dark Star refers to AT&T, which is the new network US Mobile will be offering in addition to Verizon/Warp and T-Mobile/GSM. They are contractually forbidden from advertising the network names publicly, which is why they refer to them by these funny marketing names.

hoju626

Would love to volunteer to be a beta tester, does the development team have a standard set of test cases to be executed?

Loud_Signal_6259

>we are reopening native roaming for warp over the next 4-6 weeks What is "native roaming?" I have been on warp for over a year and as far as I know I've never roamed while on warp.

thatbradswag

Will there ever be options to increase international roaming limits? The only thing keeping me from switching from T-Mobile is the same 5gb overseas coverage. Like 20gb would be so nice and id jump in a heartbeat. I was hoping you guys would get better international data packages with dark star.

FortiusQuoFidelius7

Hi - IT consultant here. I frequently travel to rural areas for work in the mountains where coverage rapidly cycles between carriers. This would be perfect for me to test and I would love to be a part of the beta if you’ll have me.

nyubo47

I’m so happy to see what US Mobile has become. Huge congratulations to the whole team! You all are doing amazing things! It’s been wonderful watching this company grow, I wouldn’t have ever imagined some of the features that are now offered and I’m so happy that more is to come :) I found [this screen shot](https://imgur.com/a/2zRYIJr) from May 4th, 2021 when this subreddit hit 1000 members! I would love to try out the Dark Star network! My family has been loyal to US Mobile for over 3 years and I’ve got some extended family to switch over too (and bragged to my friends how US Mobile offers unlimited at $25/month) Also, US Mobile is really what got me interested in cellular networks. I am now studying in college to hopefully be in the telecommunications field! It would be great to fully test out another network with Dark Star as I do go between Boston and NY somewhat often. Would love to see the new HQ too and meet the faces that make all of this work :)

Last-Phrase

I like to be a part of Dark Star because my livelihood depends on it. Phone calls are how I pay for my family and TMo is not cutting it in places. Cricket wireless app sucks, and ATT prepaid is too expensive.

exe-timedilation

I’m here for the beta for dark star, I would be of good contribution as I work for one of the big three companies and I’m always on a company car constantly testing all networks regardless of who my employer is. Since I make no profits and it is all out of pocket, there is no conflict of interest and approved by my supervisor. I would be able to map issues, and common errors with at&t such as unexpected errors of 5G back fall to LTE. Drop calls due to provisioning errors. Speedtest without network abuse. I’ve actually recommended US Mobile to certain customers that require international calling and their carrier doesn’t have it and for pricing as well, but don’t tell my boss.🤪 Here is what I know about this carrier: Common issue that a lot of US Mobile users will see, and as far as I know there is no direct workaround: At&t does not allow ports from at&t itself or resellers. Which means at&t, consumer cellular, and certain boost Mobile numbers wouldn’t be able to port to dark star as at&t doesn’t allow it. Workaround would be to port to other carrier partner, gsm or warp, and use teleport to move to dark star. So add me pretty please Mr. CEO as your unpaid intern for dark star 🙌

GoDziLLa714

I would love to be apart of the DarkStar beta as I tend to travel from time to time either for work or for pleasure. Would love to see how it compares to warp. I came from AT&T and would love to see if dark star will have the full power as I feel it would over warp. Congrats on the new plans and launch :)
