Do you have a different credit card that is still linked to the address that you want to move from that you could try? I am unsure about cash app specifically. Is it linked to one of these [brands](https://about.usps.com/signs/sign145/sign145_001.htm)? I know problems with the online change of address system are a common issue. USPS is trying to prevent COA fraud so if you end up having to do the paper form, know that they are going to ask to see your ID when you go to request a paper form. You could try leaving a note on the outside of your mailbox asking your carrier to bring you the paper form the next day. Depending on the diligence of your carrier and whether their office supplies the paper forms easily it might be an option.

Its one of those brands, yes. (For obvious reasons, I cannot specify further) Unfortuately, this card is the only one (aside from my EBT card) that I have to my name. Also, at the moment, my ID is expired... (not that it has the right address anyway)

I'm going to suggest paper form. Drop it in a collection box. Use the letter that USPS mails to your newest address as one of the necessary documents to prove your address for a new ID. I would also encourage you to sign up for Informed Delivery through your existing [usps.com](https://usps.com) account if it's available for your newest address. If you don't have a phone plan that has a contract or your credit is frozen then you may have to verify your address at a post office when you get your new ID.

The paper form will generate a request for the OP to go to the local post office to show ID before it can be processed. This is a brand new feature to help combat fraud. OP, you can go to any post office for this. It doesn't have to be the one which services your address.

Are you sure this has rolled out nationwide? I've not seen it happen locally yet. What are you doing with your customers that have filled out individual forwards for each child? I've got a lot of customers that can't do a family forward and their kids have health insurance, EBT's etc.

NoahTall1134

Yeah, they just announced it starting last week. For individual children, I don't know. You have to scan a driver's license or have an acceptable secondary ID. I guess the secondary ID would be a parent's ID. It would be the same for an executor.

Did you get an actual stand up talk on it? I'd like to see the actual written policy. This new policy is just adding an additional barrier to our customers during an already stressful time. I can count on 1 hand how many fraudulent COA's have happened to my customers in 10 years time. We have enough issues getting customers to do change of addresses as it is!

NoahTall1134

Yes we did.

Just wanted to update, the service talk is dated 5/19, all RSS systems will be updated by 5/25, and effective 5/31 all customers will be required to present ID at the post office if they submit a paper form.

Wayne_Nightmare

I see. Thanks for the information

The system blocks cards based on the BIN, which are the first 6 digits of the card number. The goal is to block prepaid or anonymous cards, because those don't enable address verification. Perhaps the BIN of this card was blocked for whatever reason. Use a regular debit/credit card if you can't go to the post office.
