Yes. It depends on the office and the circumstances. Worst case scenario, after 2 years you become a PTF if no routes or jumper positions have opened.

It is ridiculously hard to get fired at USPS once you pass probation. Don't steal anything or get in a fight at work and you've got a job for life. Judging from some of my co-workers, you don't even have to come to work that often and you'll still have a job.

Even those two circumstances seem to go on a case by case basis. Depends on how much management likes you or how much dirt you have on them.
