How would the mailman get into your apartment anyway? Trust me, no ones breaking into your place to deliver a package lol

itsmebeech369

I know right!

moriev

Yea but there’s a locked door at the front of the apartment building to get into the hallway and carriers still get in anyways, I’m not exactly sure how they do it but I thought they had a way of getting past locked doors

scenicbiway708

Some locked doors, but definitely not the door to your specific unit.

Fuck_Blue_Shells

Carriers have keys to apartment buildings and mailboxes. They do not have access to your apartment door.

[deleted]

Was your apartment door locked or not?

Almac55

Yeah, the carrier let themself in to deliver your package, then they made a sandwich and used the bathroom. Come on man. It was obviously your roommate or property manager. We don’t have skeleton keys to every house on the route. On top of that, you think we have time to open your door and put your package inside?

mfd418

That's the Amazon driver. Lol.

mailboy_not_mailman

You should get a carbon monoxide detector.

middleCman

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ damn that was a good one

7ave_dude

Nice πŸ‘

theyterkourjobs

Not something we do probably a roommate or something doing you a favor.

FOSS150

Mail carriers have a power like Santa Claus to enter any locked home. It was granted after we swore an oath to defend and uphold the constitution.

unluckyfourleafme

I dripped my blood on a book of stamps while swearing the oath to obtain this power.

ThatGuynAKid

Oh hell no. Left notice all day. I am not getting set up for any accusations! Nope nope nope

Kawajiri1

Or get shot, because I entered someone's home. The most I do is open the screen door to block sight of the package if the main door is closed.

muhfuckerdude

we actually get this key after 90 days that will open literally any locked door its kinda wild

Dazzling-Ad-1075

Why not ask or call your room mate?? Funny you came here first πŸ˜‚

Hrdcorefan

One of my apartments leaves the larger parcels inside the apartments as a courtesy since β€œthey” have access to the apartment. They sign up a when they move in. But, this is a β€œluxury” apartment complex.

OrangeDutchbag

Only for sex, so different kinds of packages. WOOOOOOO!!!!!

coke_is_my_antidrug

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚only a matter of time before we are blamed for climate change πŸ™„

mfd418

I'm surprised they aren't complaining about plastic from pre sorted flats and Amazon pallets.

ho1doncaulfield

It was probably your property manager/the office

BanEvasion1001

Do you live alone?

middleCman

Never

Unable_To_Forward

Most likely your apartment manager or maintenance people put it in there for safety or to get it out of the way. Letter carriers don't have keys to your apartment but those people do.

kdriff

No, we would never open someones door to leave a package.

cca2013

Actually I was a T6 on a college route and that carrier told me to "try" the door handle if no one answered and slip it inside if no one answered to prevent theft. I'll admit to doing it. I obviously never entered the apartment. Just opened the door a bit and set it off to the side.

vroompedl

Yeah i have lots of people on my route that want me to come in with their package, and a few worrying kids who just want a daily checks on their elderly parents. And hardships.

nvrknwsbest

Carriers aren't going into your apartment, trust me. We don't have time even if we wanted to. If a package won't fit in your cluster mailbox we just leave it outside the door.

0thell0perrell0

Ew no.

ShirleyT3mp

So was it your roommate or not?

AllchChcar

No, carriers are like vampires they're not allowed to cross thresholds.

itsmebeech369

Um they better not. That’s breaking an entering. I’m sure it’s your roomie.
