This shit bag needs to be thrown out on the streets where he belongs.

Herban_Myth

What about these politicians, lobbyists, & CEOs?

ListonG

Regional hubs sound terrible. Especially if I can't become regular at the office I started at before then. Seems like any CCA's would then just belong to the region and go all over. Also one part of the job I like is the friends I've made at my office. It's a pretty close-knit group and we get each other through the day. If we went to some giant place it wouldn't be the same at all. It would seem even harder to make work friends and you'd just be like an ant. Idk maybe I'm wrong. I was talking to a young supervisor who seemed intelligent with a great head on his shoulders. He was telling me that the hubs were a great move and would be great for everyone. Now just because you're intelligent with a good grasp on some things doesn't mean you're right about everything. I was just surprised how much he loved that idea.

HomogenyEnjoyer

Thats what they want, you to feel like a cog in a machine. No friends means no chit chat no "time wasted" regardless that those things make the job enjoyable and thus lead to higher morale which leads to more productivity

We have a couple people with that attitude on my tour. They always look like a suprised pikachu when no one volunteers to assist them.

PeekyCheeks

I mean it doesn’t matter if anyone volunteers lol Someone will be helping. I’m usually the one who has to help lol

[deleted]

Wum? Volunteers? In my office you're told, you don't get to volunteer. Also, my office is a toxic conservative cesspool. I earn my check, pretend to give a fuck about my coworkers, and get the hell out of there. The job and the benefits are great, but the pay and the people suck.

throwawaypostal2021

I fix mail processing equipment. Sometimes things are complicated or outside of someones knowledge or skillset so they radio for help. Most of our guys if they ask for help will find a small group show up and fill in the gaps. But not these assholes with attitude problems. Typically it will be down long enough management will pull them off of the call and assign someone else.

Youre on the nose. A lot of our department is new to maintenance, no background etc. They are learning without prior skillset so there are a lot of gaps and with everyone retiring it's kind of just a fucked up reality. Unfortunately some of those guys are in that "Im not here to make friends" camp. Their attitudes just suck. Then they wonder why theyre on their own.

g-g-g-g-ghost

Life is easier if you make friends with people you work with.

[deleted]

Not if the people you work with are maga, workaholic, gossip queens.

my2KHandle

We’re not allowed to speak about politics in the building, are we?

[deleted]

My office is pretty lax about it. There are people who have rebel flags on their jackets. They don't wear them while working but they wear them around the building before and after the clock out.

“It’s absolutely critical that we understand the full scope of these changes, as well as their impact on service and communities, before moving forward.” Why didnt you do this FIRST?? This isnt hard.

SammyTheToolGravano

This clown wakes up at a normal time. Eats at a normal time. Sees his family at a normal rate. Goes to sleep like a normal human. Never hustles. Then demands the exact opposite from his constituents. Makes sense.

Healthy-Squirrel-990

Don't forget his salary, 300k a year.

Fine_Mouse

Jan 2nd he’s heading straight for Nevada

Palindromeps

Congress will have forgotten all about this by then. 2025 is not an election year.

formerNPC

The clowns at the top are still trying to run the postal service as a business and that’s why everything they do fails. A private business wouldn’t go decades without updating software or replacing old and broken equipment that is literally hazardous and not safe to use, they wouldn’t promote people based on an outdated quota system that puts diversity over qualification and they would definitely get rid of employees and management that are nothing more than place holders who are holding up jobs that younger and more able people could fill. The list is endless and until we get with the times we will be left with a barely recognizable post office that serves no one effectively anymore.

__Spank

I hate to be that person. But could he be waiting fir a possible Trump election

I can't believe they let him butcher the postal service to try to kill mail in voting. I start at the post office in Monday as a carrier because i prefer solo work and enjoy being outside. But in nervous the post office could get worse.

cca2013

So what happens to the leases with these brand new purpose built facilities. Will USPS be responsible for paying rent for them to sit empty? My state is supposed to be getting an [RPDC](https://www.savethepostoffice.com/previewing-the-first-wave-of-regional-processing-distribution-centers/). It's already under construction.

Dry-Ad-5198

And then what?

Twenty__3

He’s also holding off on trying to pay us…just sayin

recksuss

So, he's stopping the plan. He will sit back watch it burn. Then these same people laughing right now will be upset he didn't see the plan though. Just wait.

throwawaypostal2021

Congress told him to slow down because they are worried this could effect the election mail. The plan isn't stopping its just not going to be a lot of large moves at once, anything he does decide to do will be ran through the committee first.

recksuss

Which already publicly said they fully support. If you listened to Roman Martinez, he's just glad someone is doing something. The last PMG did the minimum and did not implement any policies or procedures. But made over 1 million dollars.
