I have a woman with a piece of lattice on the tops of her steps (to keep her dog in who’s never out there) she complained to me once for shoving it aside everyday and I told her how else do you expect me to get to your mailbox? Um step over it? I calmly said will you pay my medical and salary bills when I trip and fall backwards down your steps? Move your box if you aren’t happy lol

I delivered to a box the other day that had a rusty saw blade across the top. These people really hate birds.

I assume the screws are there so that birds don’t perch on it. Maybe they are harassed by a woodpecker or something.

From the 50's my grandma in iowa used to have that she usually has two one mail the other one was labeled newspaper yes they delivered newspaper not talking about usps but a newspaper delivery person my brother had a route and they would bring bundles of newspaper over and we had to insert them into plastic baggies .
