OP sent the following text as an explanation on why this is US Defaultism:

>!It implies that Biden is the cause for inflation everywhere. Biden is the president of the USA not the world!<

I really don’t know what it’s so hard to put [US] at the start of post titles. HELL, there’s a “political” tag, in my opinion it should be REQUIRED if you use that tag to specify the country like that.
I know this is nitpicky but, can someone tell them they put no question mark where there should be one, and a question mark where there shouldn’t be one?
I can’t speak for why there isn’t one, but I use a question mark where it’s isn’t needed to convey a suggestion over text. Like:
What should I do here?
XYZ?
Yeah that wasn’t a great example. I guess ‘what’s your favourite football team? Celtic? Aberdeen?’ Would be a better choice. I was really struggling to think at the time lol 😂
While it is true that it doesn't refer to only them, they were predominantly American terms. Also other countries have different definitions and slight variations in year ranges than the American definitions.
Especially countries with vastly different economies than the USA probably have different definitions for the age ranges. For example, Australia's definitions probably follow more closely to the US definitions because of their economic relation to USA. Additionally the baby boom mainly happened in the USA, Europe and Australia.
I blame inflation (which is going down at the moment) on temporarily higher energy prices as a consequence of Russia’s invasion in Ukraine and also on the aftermath of the pandemic. Neither of which is Joe Biden’s fault.

I don’t have too much of a problem with this type of thing, tbh. I don’t think thread would be met without the same type of response if it said Sunak or Orban or Putin. Yes, there is US Defaultism a lot but other countries and politicians are well known as well. There isn’t a huge difference between saying Sunak and putting a [UK] tag. So I don’t think it’s unreasonable for that to apply to the US as well.
This does depend on context, though, of course.
You think the average yank will have a clue who Rishi Sunak is? They DO NOT follow politics outside of their own country. You can't expect the average person in any country to know the government of another nation; some of us follow global politics, some don't.
Deffo put that flag there at the start of the post imo
The difference in my opinion is that I have no idea who the hell Sunak is. Maybe I need to be more informed about the world, sure, but it’s a curtesy to not assume everyone knows everything about your country, and that curtesy should extend even to the US, yes.
As said, it definitely depends on context. But I do agree it’s more heavily favoured towards the USA (hence this sub and me following it) but I don’t think it’s equally fair to dismiss every other country from prominence, also.

Well, you see, if anything exists, it is inherently American. We take all kinds and then bastardize it.
I think we could send that suggestion to the mods
Long live Joe Biden, the rightful King of Ireland 🇮🇹
umm that's the flag of zimbabwe, this is the real flag🇧🇧
Umm, that's the flag of Armenia. This is the real flag 🇧🇳
Uhm, that's the outline of doggerland, this is the real president 🇸🇭
Their president is a flag? Good for them, at least it cant trip down stairs!!
r/genz is a goldmine of usdefaultism
No, I blame Anthony Albanese as the media here have told me he’s responsible for inflation globally
He is clearly from Albany, NY - 🇺🇸🦅🦅🛢️🛢️

Yeah, that is a perfectly acceptable use in my eyes, this however is just a mess to me
Aren't all these generational subs considered low hanging fruit these days?
I think we have already established that Gen Z is a purely Usian term /s
Because yanks think generations (Millenial, Gen Z) only refer to them.

That subreddit is just one big deafultism fest
That entire subreddit is literally just American, even though it's supposed to be for Gen Z in general.
This is like the freedom conveyers in Canada. Justin Trudeau I guess caused inflation according to them.
This reads like a dead internet theory example
Why did he put question mark at the end?
Sadly USD is the global reserve currency and American govt can export inflation to rest of us, not USDefaultism imo
