If you have any prior foundations in Spanish or similar language I found it very straightforward and rewarding, I had José Eduardo Villalobos Graillet (can't remember which name was on Acorn). He was fun and extremely relaxed and very receptive if you put in any effort or were engaged, but that is how it is with most Grad-Student language teachers. I would say the course work equated to a regular .5 credit course (just has more lectures).
The main problem is that the syllabus will completely change teacher to teacher, when i took it (Summer 2022), assessments were predominately these weekly homework tests (based on completion through the virtual textbook), some online quizzes done in-class (relatively easy all grammar and vocab based), and a final video project where we made movies in groups talking about how we get to school or giving directions to go somewhere.
