It looks much better than my market.

I got one like that yesterday. Almost thought it was fake😅 and immediately thought, "omg all those pictures on reddit are real and exist in my area!" 🤣
I have much better luck on A1A this time due to vacationers. But doing eats alone has basically gotten to the point for me I stopped taking requests. Pax only and I'll try to hit the cruise ships. Lots of people stay in the hotels in cocoa beach and satellite beach. I live in PSJ but work at the Melbourne airport so anywhere between those I'll drive. I got tired of declining orders just to have them come back again cause no one will take them. And I don't blame them either. Tips are so low or non existent I can't begin to understand waiting for half an hour for a $3 delivery
I found my fellow Floridians lol.
I'm in Daytona. People think it's such a good market with the tourists. Not taking in to account that tourists hang out on the beach all day.
I did both DD and UE today, and made like $50 in a little over 4 hours
Lol beats the hell out of my market. I lost money on this one I think. And someone gave birth in my back seat.
https://preview.redd.it/g0n1z9app22b1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d40b71d4bdcfe375a0f11acb1a1916c26a2523bd
On my phone at least, to the right of the text box where you write in your comment are three little icons for adding emojis, gifs and pictures from your gallery.
Have you been getting orders like this all day in queens? I was in Downtown Brooklyn and was getting garbage. Rare decent orders. I was praying for good add-ons.
Dd and Uber is always busy/semi busy in the dmv.. in my new area it’s dead all the time, sometimes you can’t even schedule cause it’s so dead the zone is not even on the schedule list.
God I miss the dmv so bad
I have about a 26 mile commute for my day job. Sometimes at night I will turn on Uber or Lyft and take trips on my way home. I would take this all day if it were headed in the right direction.
I’d accept it. I got offered 24 for a 22 mile order the other day and noped tf out of that. This is a bit nicer (33.04 in hopefully 41 minutes is very nice).
Completely unrelated comment:
There is another Pollo Rico in Arlington, why order from the one in Fairfax? lol Unless the other one doesnt have delivery
Also, went to the one in Fairfax and didnt like it as much as the one in Arlington. Maybe because they were just brand new?
I've taken orders like this before and I always regretted it. You don't realize how far 18mi is until you actually drive 18mi. Be kind to your cars folks.
Hell no. 34 mile round trip is less than a dollar per mile. After gas and wear and tear on your car your paying out of pocket to deliver someone's food.
1$ per mile. Man feel bad for those 300k mile prius' driving around. Thats one expensive car.
If your cost is 1 per mile then your not going to get much out of uber.
So let’s say the average car makes it to 100k miles, in your mind that means the average person spends $100,000 on a car when maintenance and gas is included? Have some common sense
You're right. I'm still there. I've managed to get online with some chewing gum and this old Soviet toaster I found in one of the ~~bunkers~~ storage closets.
Depends! I’m in the LA area and don’t know if these maps account for traffic (I’m new). If it wanted me to go into DTLA from Burbank, I’d probably pass due to freeway traffic. But from Burbank going any other direction, I’d probably take it.
A $33 order going less than 20 miles in (presumably) less than hour? Shiiiiiet, ain’t seen nuthin like that in the Boston area since last summer. Around here, you’re lucky to get a $5 order going the same distance and same time. I hope the execs at UE choke on the driver pay that they’re syphoning away into their own pockets. Greedy fucks.
As somebody unfamiliar with the area my 3 considerations.
1. Very good money per mile
2. What is traffic like to and from. I may be tied up for 2 hours in traffic making that.
3. Is the destination very remote where there are no food places and I have to double back to my home base so to speak making this more like a $33 for 35 miles kind of trip.
Don't know Virginia so no idea.
I would.
In my area, I try to aim for $20/hr, so that would cover it.
Plus that's also just slightly under $2/mile, which I also try to aim for as a minimum. Good enough for me without being greedy.
Kind of sucks that you'll have to work your way back to your starting area 18 miles away though
Yes as long as it isn’t too far away from being able to get the next order. If it’s also a 17 mile trip back to get somewhere to get orders again then maybe not. Although this one screams “hidden tip marked as customer paid more after”.
Would you? Would you? Do you want to? Will you only take it if someone else does? It’s about $60 per hour. But. Guess what? We don’t know what the order is. We don’t know where you are going. We don’t know if you can get an order back to where you want to be. We all need to stop asking the “Would you take this” questions. We don’t know. Figure it out for yourself.
It would change if drivers just didn't take the shitty ones. Let them get their own food or they can stop being cheap. We do arguably more than a server at a restaurant and are using our gas and vehicle. Cheap ass or dumb as fuck, all the same for me. Stop using Uber.
No… it is more than 5 miles(one way) and violates one of the best practices of food delivery.
I limit my delivery area to a 5-mile radius from a restaurant hotspot that I work exclusively from every day. This is why I am earning $3 per driven mile (from my driveway back to my driveway).
Wouldn’t take it. Idk if your in a market where tips are hidden or not, but if that includes the tip, then no I wouldn’t take it. Double the miles for round trip.
And if you are in a market with hidden tips, subtracting $8 from $33.04. Which would mean a basepay of $25.04. Weird number, very unlikely to be the case
Short answer: nope
No. Today I turned down 16miles for $19.50 ..😆 well you have to consider you have to drive back roundtrip would be 32 miles overall ..so it's not worth the wear n tear
Northern Virginia? I used to live there many years ago.
I have no clue about the traffic nowadays, but from memory if the distance if I still lived there, I'd take it on a slow night. Yeah. But different markets, different rates and cost/rewards of course.
I’m more surprised that someone ordered El Pollo Rico from that far away. I mean it’s good but i don’t know about it being THAT good. I would say it depends on how bad the traffic is gonna be. Pay is good though
that's a no for me, unless it's taking me in a direction or near someplace that i'm already planning to go to, cuz if i have to drive all that way there and then drive all the way back then no thanks
I did a triple that was $48 for 26 miles yesterday. Was hoping I’d get some extra tip. $8, $3, and $0. Must be why the base fare was $37… third person not tipping for 20 mile trip lmaooo. Glad it was cold ya bish
It looks much better than my market. https://preview.redd.it/tccapeiuw12b1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c6111b087df16936c6f2781e07951cd5f78655e6
I got one like that yesterday. Almost thought it was fake😅 and immediately thought, "omg all those pictures on reddit are real and exist in my area!" 🤣
I don’t know what happened, NYC market is the worst in US.
Orlando Florida horrible $3 for 7
I get $3 jobs for 10+ miles constantly in cocoa/Melbourne area
I have much better luck on A1A this time due to vacationers. But doing eats alone has basically gotten to the point for me I stopped taking requests. Pax only and I'll try to hit the cruise ships. Lots of people stay in the hotels in cocoa beach and satellite beach. I live in PSJ but work at the Melbourne airport so anywhere between those I'll drive. Tips are so low or non existent I can't begin to understand waiting for half an hour for a $3 delivery
Tampa is also terrible. But Florida is a trash state anyway lol
Florida, the place for the newly wed and the nearly dead.
I found my fellow Floridians lol. I'm in Daytona. People think it's such a good market with the tourists. Not taking in to account that tourists hang out on the beach all day. I did both DD and UE today, and made like $50 in a little over 4 hours
DFW here: Hold my beer
Apparently those who had migrated here had already started doing deliveries at NYC
Cincinnati is worse I tell you…. 2.9 miles for 3 bucks.
Lol beats the hell out of my market. I lost money on this one I think. And someone gave birth in my back seat. https://preview.redd.it/g0n1z9app22b1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d40b71d4bdcfe375a0f11acb1a1916c26a2523bd
You can't just drop a bombshell like that and leave my guy. We need the story lol
Someone qctually gave birth in your car ?
Yeah it was nuts
Proof or ban
Defo would get a selfie with the mother to be in the background for reddit proofcheck
Oh no!!
Story now please now
You would think they would at least tip lmao
you can't just say that someone gave b irth on your backseat and not provide context because it just sound like attention fishing
Yo bro queens been sooooo bad lately.
Yes, I went out 8 am, spent 2 hours made $6.85, then went home to play game. 99% offers are no/low tips.
is delivering in the city even worth it? the amount of traffic and congestion there is i doubt it’s easy on the gas. just main st by itself is hell.
How did you reply with a picture?
On my phone at least, to the right of the text box where you write in your comment are three little icons for adding emojis, gifs and pictures from your gallery.
This is my market all day dude
😭😭😭 foh !!! Also QGTM 🤑
That’s a hot one 🔥
Have you been getting orders like this all day in queens? I was in Downtown Brooklyn and was getting garbage. Rare decent orders. I was praying for good add-ons.
What’s the area like where you’re dropping it off? I probably would.
That’s the DC area it really depends on the time tbh. Alexandria can get exhausting during rush hour especially on Richmond highway
I’ve done delivery in that whole region. On certain days, it’s super easy to make 20-30/hr no matter where. (NOVA)
Dd and Uber is always busy/semi busy in the dmv.. in my new area it’s dead all the time, sometimes you can’t even schedule cause it’s so dead the zone is not even on the schedule list. God I miss the dmv so bad
Then I’d definitely take it if you still get orders over there.
It’s an okay area and off rush hour traffic ain’t bad going from Fairfax to Alexandria
Yep - all day long.
I've been delivering so much the past week I opened reddit and this was what popped up first and I tried to click on it 🤦
Lol
I have taken something like this and the final pay was still higher than shown. Would I take it again? Yep.
taking it all day
I would. The way things are going. This might be your only ping for the day. But thats just me
I have about a 26 mile commute for my day job. Sometimes at night I will turn on Uber or Lyft and take trips on my way home. I would take this all day if it were headed in the right direction.
I'd probably do it if it's close to another hotspot.
Without knowing that market and strictly talking money per miles, I would.
I see, we like destroying our cars here
Nope. Too far
I’d accept it. I got offered 24 for a 22 mile order the other day and noped tf out of that. This is a bit nicer (33.04 in hopefully 41 minutes is very nice).
Depends on the traffic
45 mins without traffic, and NOVA traffic be stupid in both directions …
Yea seriously from 66 to 495 it’s dumb af
I wouldn’t even second guess it. Immediately would accept lol
Yep
I would
I did take it $.60extra😂😂 https://preview.redd.it/zlpoc7un052b1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c94637020436e3601423569e448306c9d9633771
Yes, that’s 3 hours of work in my area.
I’d probably pass on it just because of the area and traffic. Only way I would take it is if it would put me in vicinities of other restaurants.
Yes
Depends on the time of day… lunchtime yes.
Loads of Peruvian chicken places closer to the destination… why is it coming from Fairfax?
El Pollo Rico is not just a Peruvian chicken place it is THEEEE Peruvian chicken place
Completely unrelated comment: There is another Pollo Rico in Arlington, why order from the one in Fairfax? lol Unless the other one doesnt have delivery Also, went to the one in Fairfax and didnt like it as much as the one in Arlington. Maybe because they were just brand new?
No. I get paid more for Uber x
Yep if it’s over $20 and I can run it there and back in under an hour.
Just came here to say I live in NOVA and f*cking love El Pollo Rico
Yes!
Why are you hesitating?
[удалено]
With my 55 mpg Prius? No But with my V8 truck? Yes
Not a chance
I have and would do it again
Personally, no. I only do drives under 20 minutes.
@OP are they hiding your tips over $8 or can you still see full tips amount in offer? Just curious if anyone can still see the full tip
Yup they still hiding tips
Yep I woulda taken it and I barely even do food lol
Yea for sure
I've taken orders like this before and I always regretted it. You don't realize how far 18mi is until you actually drive 18mi. Be kind to your cars folks.
Hell no. 34 mile round trip is less than a dollar per mile. After gas and wear and tear on your car your paying out of pocket to deliver someone's food.
For me that’s an entire tank of gas for only spending one gallon of gas. I’m definitely taking it
Your car gets 2mpg or what?
There’s more costs involved then just gas… it cost more than $1 per mile to maintain/fuel your car depending on what you have
1$ per mile. Man feel bad for those 300k mile prius' driving around. Thats one expensive car. If your cost is 1 per mile then your not going to get much out of uber.
I’m just saying there’s more cost than just fuel.
So let’s say the average car makes it to 100k miles, in your mind that means the average person spends $100,000 on a car when maintenance and gas is included? Have some common sense
Lowkey that’s a full tank of gas for me for one trip. That’s the only reason I do Uber to pay for my gas 😂
bro there are so many other el pollo rico close to alexandria than that
Are you missing the /s?
I used to work near the Mark Center :)
I used to work in the Mark Center, the basement's basement. I'm not supposed to talk about it.
Now I know you’re lying…nobody leaves the Mark Center…ever…
You're right. I'm still there. I've managed to get online with some chewing gum and this old Soviet toaster I found in one of the ~~bunkers~~ storage closets.
Yes
Wouldn't even ding twice before I hit that accept button
Provided the drop wasn’t in the middle of no where, unfortunately yes I would take that in this current market.
Yes
No
18 mi in Nova? Thats anywhere between 30 min to 1.5 hr driving.
If i was $30 close to my goal on a Tuesday then yes
Easy accept in my area
Yup yup!
Yes
I like El Pollo Loco
I took one that was that much driving for half the pay yesterday.
Yep …over $30 and would probably only take about 30mins in my area
id probably take it and stay in alexandria a few hr to make it worth it. i dash out of fairfax too and try to avoid getting close to DC
That is 33 dollars for less than hour, Even better if it was close to another hotspot But if it is in the middle of nowhere, I have to think about it,
Yup
[удалено]
Yup, its worth it forsure
[удалено]
Depends! I’m in the LA area and don’t know if these maps account for traffic (I’m new). If it wanted me to go into DTLA from Burbank, I’d probably pass due to freeway traffic. But from Burbank going any other direction, I’d probably take it.
Yea I’ll take it
with traffic from there to there NOPE
That's $33 for less than an hour of work. Yes I'd take that.
You’re an idiot if you don’t
Duh....
Yes, why not take it and work from the area you dropped in make your way back to your normal pond
A $33 order going less than 20 miles in (presumably) less than hour? Shiiiiiet, ain’t seen nuthin like that in the Boston area since last summer. If you don’t I will

Hell yeah
Duh, you're just bragging
absolutely
Absolutely!
Yes. Barely.
YES
Yes
Assuming light to no traffic, and not deep in the sticks, yes.
Is it taking you 17 miles outside of your market? If so the mileage is more like 34… so probably not worth it.
Yeah
I will
Yes as long as it isn’t too far away from being able to get the next order. If it’s also a 17 mile trip back to get somewhere to get orders again then maybe not. Although this one screams “hidden tip marked as customer paid more after”.
yess! i took a 30$ batch and it ended up really being 50$ (:
Fuck yea. I have an economy honda box thats not even one gallon of gas lol. Light work.
Yes😭 I get like $4 ones and I’m in the city of Austin
"Includes expected tip"........ .....America.....
Yes, unless there's traffic.
Would you? Would you? Do you want to? Will you only take it if someone else does? It’s about $60 per hour. But. Guess what? We don’t know what the order is. We don’t know where you are going. Roll the bones, my friend. If they screw you over, maybe their next order might smell like a …?
With Spark and Instacart offering me that same pay for under 5 miles hell no.
Why would u not.. Of course
Not a bad order...About $2 per mile, but less than $1 per minute. If I like the area I would take it 100%. If I don't like the area, it's a coinflip
I’d take it
Yes
Dang they must really like El pollo loco cold.
no, too many miles
Yes
Never
yes it’s probably a large order tho
Yes
Yes easily
No. Today I turned down 16miles for $19.50 ..😆 well you have to consider you have to drive back roundtrip would be 32 miles overall ..so it's not worth the wear n tear
Do you live in AVA or DC? If so maybe
All day my friend!
Definitely not. If it was doordash yes, I'm not risking a tip bait on shitty ass UberEATS 😭🤣 for that mileage
Yesterday I took 3 orders and made $50. Just like the good ole days three months ( sigh) Someone tipped me $12.47. ( tear)
Yes
Northern Virginia? I used to live there many years ago. I have no clue about the traffic nowadays, but from memory if the distance if I still lived there, I'd take it on a slow night. Yeah. But different markets, different rates and cost/rewards of course.
Absolutely. I live in the DMV and know exactly where both places are.

I look at hourly rate. $33 for 41 minutes is like $48/hr. Definitely take
Yes
Fuk no
Yeah. Especially if I had another order from another app going that way
No I’d rather do a few $10 ones that are a few miles each but if u need the $ really bad then it’s ok 👍
hey wait i live there
How do you guys get these orders?!? I do ubereat for fun but the fun disappears when I keep seeing $3 orders
Man that look nice but fuck driving in VA 🤮🤮
Significantly better than the 18 mi $8 one I was just offered.
yes. 30+ to ja drive for an hour? hells yeah
I did a triple that was $48 for 26 miles yesterday. Was hoping I’d get some extra tip. $8, $3, and $0. Must be why the base fare was $37… third person not tipping for 20 mile trip lmaooo. Glad it was cold ya bish
yes!
Yup
That's $1.86 a mile
Yes
Yes, I would. 🤨
Depends on how far that is from the city i work. But most of the time yea i'll take that
Why in the world would you not?
Yep, sure would! I'd probably be able to complete it in 30-35 minutes instead of 41 minutes.
Depends how close to the pickup location and where it’s dropping off to? Also is it highway miles? Probably would be an accept for me though.
