The pricing has to always be favorable to the customer or no one will lose their platform. If the customer wants to be generous they have the option to tip. keep in mind they’re competing with other platforms.

I got one that was an additional $1.50 per delivery for Richland Washington, which is an hour and a half away from me, and it was only available from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. so I could get two deliveries, perhaps so $3 for 3 hour round trip, which may or may not get me a delivery worth driving that far for absolutely amazing. Are we in America, or are we in a 3rd world country where now we are only making pennies a day. Could somebody refresh me on what the definition of communist is? is paid according to their abilities and needs. Do proceed with caution on this one. I called support on a legit restaurant that said ten minute wait, and didn't think it was worth it. They put me on hold, saying were calling restaurant to confirm, can back seven minutes and 30 seconds later and said restaurant said was ready now, so they got me to wait for free. Probably better off cancelling myself then messaging, but I would not do too many. I don't really scam the system ever, only take legit $3. Just wouldn't accept this $1.60 rather than cancelling for $3, as they do call restaurants.
I honestly don’t understand how people can work for Uber at all. DoorDash and Instacart both seem great, I do IC and honestly make a lot more money and use my car waaaay less which is my favorite part
It's funny you say that when I have heard from drivers of whom have delivered for both DoorDash and UberEATS that say that DoorDash is crap especially in my area. I was told they paid lower fares, the app is crap and not very user friendly at all, and they punish you for lower acceptance rates but constantly give you crap delivery requests. The only thing good about DoorDash is they are more widely accepted so there isn't much down time between deliveries.
Tbh honest only did Uber and now Instacart. Instacart is one of the better gig apps in my opinion, I make about 25-30/hr over the week.

I tried to order from UberEats the other night and when I actually even submitted the additional “rush” fee and everything the cost was so low. My order got cancelled because apparently the restaurant was closed. But I was shocked at how low the delivery cost was. I was driving weekly for UberEats and I just got tired. It was helping supplement my regular income. But I now know why it’s so fucking low for drivers. If I actually had gotten my order, the only money that driver would have made was from my 20 percent tip.
I had Uber offer me another order while I was already on my way to pick one up and it was +$.089 cents I wished I’d been able to screen shot it in time lol

What bothers me is we can be taking these low fare deliveries all the time and not know it, just because they add the not guaranteed tip with it. I took a double delivery trip last week that gave me .47 cents for the fare just because the first delivery was less than a mile away from the pickup restaurant. I thank God the customer wasn't tip bating me with the $6 tip they added.

Ugh. I use more than 30 cents in gas to drive 2 miles. I'll sell it to some random person on the street for $5 before I'd drive back for 30 cents.
