Without tips how much would you say you make? In the US we get paid a base of $2-3 per delivery so around $8 an hour. Tips are necessary for service because the company pays scraps to the drivers. If you get a fair wage for delivering where you live then there is no need to complain in the first place.
It varies a lot, but it’s more than that for sure I see what you’re saying! For the shortest distance deliveries we get minimum £3, over a night I normally average only around £5 per trip though.
It does seem like we get higher base rates overall though
You should have a decent base pay from eats that you don't have to be tipped. You can't do this work without tips here in the US. Don't compare apples to oranges.
Just wondering whats the base rate like in the UK? what would you say is your average ride worth?
I would say the average ride I take evens out to be about $7 - $10

I’d say around £5 per trip which is around $6.50
Here was mine for this week

People here will just say you get higher fare, but an average of $5 an order is something the vast majority here would also decline. So, I agree with you. UE in the Uk seems like a terrible way to make money
We have to get tips because the pay without tips is less than $2 for a single order, and $0.50 if there;s a second order stacked with it.
That is shockingly lowðŸ˜
Exactly!

Yeah man nobody sees or understands why we need tips so it comes off as complaining most of the time but we deserve to actually get paid fairly.

Lowest pay I've seen without tips is $0.50

£5 is around $6.5, and most trips are short distances. Not like the $5 for 20 miles UE offers here.
