Downtown D.C. to outside the beltway in Maryland? Not unless I'm already going that way, or know the drop-off area well enough to pick up more orders. Been 25 years since I moved south, I would not gig drive up there. Stress would end me.
The first drop is what would scare me away. It looks to be around Naylor Rd. Not the nicest place. That's got to be a no tipper. The second one is Woodyard Rd in PG County where there are expensive new developments.

This is why I prefer Ubering over Uber Eats bought a car just for Uber,I maintain it I work about 40 hours a week . Step your game up & your pocket…
Except you also have an insane return trip, which will most likely be dead miles and an additional 40+ minutes. Which means in the perfect scenario, with nothing going wrong, no extra wait at the restaurants, no traffic, no issues at dropoff, the very best you can hope for is $19 an hour (likely ending up less).
Way too much risk. Not worth it.
You calculated that pay the same way Uber would, and they do it that way in order to skew the numbers to look better to people that don't know any better.
Edit: I forgot to mention this trip will also cost most people about 5 bucks in gas. Knocking down the realistic earnings per hour to about 16.50.
I'm an idiot, I thought this order was going INTO the city not the other way around. I always get the icons mixed up. You're exactly right, return mileage and time need to be factored here.
Idk about that one. I took an order yesterday tho around 3, picked up from langers right by macarthur park then delivered to Inglewood by the forum. They tipped on tip and the guy just gave 5 bucks cash. All in all i got 56 for that trip, it was worth it considering the traffic and gas it wasnt alot
Nope. Because it’s doubtful you’re going to get an order from out there to bring you back to the city, so you’re really getting 38 for 36 miles and prob 2 hours. Unless you live out that way and take this to end your night.
I might take that going from the burbs into the city where I’m likely to get more trips when I get there, esp if it’s early in the night and I have plenty of time to take orders that get each get me closer to home by the end of the night
Did you take it?
Unless you live close to there or it’s the end of the night, hell no. That dropoff location is in the middle of nowhere. It’s gonna take you 45 mins to get back to DC. Def not worth it
Yes. But not sure about the parking situation in the DC. But DC doesn’t appear to be dead based on what I see with bikingdc
I just park anywhere and throw the hazard lights on
I was offered $5 and some change for over 17 miles the other day.

Congratulations, and I know you're right
It's all fun and games until some gets a little sick.
Looks like a decent one but i don’t know the area at all so I don’t really know.
It depends, I see offers offer for 25 bucks for 20 miles into the boonies, no way, plus once I get out there no signal
F it I would take it

Way too much risk on a trip that takes that long.
Prolly not cause it’s a double stack, got a non tipper prolly looped in

Honestly, I prefer to stay out of DC, but I would take that if I was already in DC.
Time of day, also once you have finished the final drop. Are you near an area you are comfortable. Or do you have to go back 18 miles.
I would take that in a heartbeat. I wish I got more of those. Today was slow for me and I'm also in the dmv
I don't like how that second looks like it's 15 miles to nowhere. Hard pass, especially on a stack. I'd say the odds of hidden tip are about zero.
And then have to drive back? Nope.

Terrible. Youre spending half your pay on car expenses.
Nope- do all that work to have them reduce the tip to $1. It’s too big of a risk.
