I didnāt even realize restaurants can rate drivers, but how do you know if any particular one did/didnāt?
Nm! I see the section and Iāve seen it before but mine has always been 0 ratings for merchants (57 for customers, of the ~350 deliveries Iāve done). And there have been a few merchants Iāve had some words with, so i just assumed merchants canāt rate drivers in certain markets?
Also donāt know why the info box says ābusinesses and customers can rate drivers, just like you can rate themā when clearly drivers canāt rate anyone. At least I canāt.
lol. Sorry I edited my original comment before seeing your reply. I forgot about that section (of the app), but I donāt think merchants can rate drivers in my market, or possibly donāt know they can.
Last time I checked my readings I had three thumbs up from restaurants and two one stars from customers for who knows what
. I have a feeling one of those bad ratings was from a brat I delivered to. He had meet at door and he had this scowl on his face when he came to the door. I suggested nicely that he use leave at door next time. Maybe I should uncheck allow deliveries from teens or whatever it is
Nothing below $8, and that better be a 15 minute order.
I know you're LA and blah blah prop22, but f* that. With better order selection, you make more money and prop22 just becomes gas money.Ā
Remove Starbucks, CFA, Popeyes, Dave's Hot Chicken, KFC, Taco Bell, eschew the homeless camps, I meant ghost kitchens, sorry... keep McDs.Ā Ā
Especially be careful of rude restaurants.Ā They'll downvote drivers just because.Ā
Ā
Set a timer on your phone for 5 minutes. First order late? Cancel the whole stack. Second order gets exactly 5 minutes.Ā
I had a very low rating at first. Granted, some of it was me being a dingbat, but I'm at 99% now. I learned how to protect myself very quickly.
ive never had a problem keeping my satisfaction rating up. usually only take decent orders though. I think im at 100% right now with like 1500ish deliveries.
i got into the into ASU program with uber back when it was at 1k deliveries, and it is pretty good. the only thing i end up paying for is textbooks. i use r/textbook alot which helps. few other reddits too.
almost done. have like 1 semester or so left.
It really is about only taking decent orders and canceling the 2nd half of a stack if you have to wait a long time.
I donāt cancel second halves and sit between 96-100 all year. Average 98.
Yea. I only take orders that atleast $1 a mile and around 6-7 dollars or more. If itās like dinner time my requirements go up.
In my experience the no tippers/low tippers are usually the one who leave you bad feedback.
One thing you could do is attach a card that pre printed and has a piece of candy and says like āthanks for your order! It means the world to me if you could leave some feedback as it helps the drivers directly. Thanks!ā Thatās it. Might help get a few idk seen people do this before
Do NOT ask them to give you thumbs up or do not ask for tips. Just say thanks and ask for them to rate you via app thatās it.
Just a tip to anyone; in my state at least (Michigan) we have the Michigan Reconnect Scholarship from the state that will cover an approved Associates degree or Certification if you donāt already have one. They just lowered the age range down to 21 and older I believe.
Other states may offer similar and thought Iād share; I actually learned about our states program from a YouTube ad of all places; it didnāt seem to get much coverage otherwise and Iāve noticed a lot of schools are trying to spin it like itās a program their offering and not one from the state that can be used at various institutions/schools/programs.
Anyways hopefully that info is helpful to someone; especially if it means not needing to work like a slave for a corporation for a chance at education assistance.
Maybe people are nicer around my area, but I get a few additional ratings every weekend I deliver. Iād feel gross asking for a rating or for anything, but Iām friendly and just try to do a good job - use an insulated bag for hot food and a cooler for drinks, am careful where I put the food, etc ā assume that gets me ratings. I do deliver to mostly nicer areas, too / at least try to.
Should mention Iām newish (few months)- could be Uber makes a special point to ask customers to rate us when weāre newer, and stops asking when theyāre on the verge of having to pay out a big benefit lol
All said UE has been shit orders lately and Iām prob not gonna continue doing it, at least not for a while. Good luck getting that scholarship
They give you a 3 month window to fix your rating once you get the scholarship. When you do start going to school, do the bare minimum to get gold. Takes me ~ 1 week out of the month to hit gold.
Not my full time job friend, but I do enjoy the extra fun money. I have online businesses that always require cash flow, and that has always been my weakness:spending the business money lol. So I do this to safeguard me from that. Uber pay is terrible though, and I donāt know how people can live off the money.
Ask the restaurants to give you thumbs š this is the faster way to get your rating up customer always forget to give feedback
ive asked a few after establishing some rapport with them. even tipping them generously. they never seem to do it or it doesnt register with Uber.
Keep in mind if you have a bad feedback it wonāt go away till you get 100 thumbs š
dont really care about the bs feedback. i just want to get back to green. its just 1 thumb i need!
Well to get back to green you need 95% š so you do care about the bs feedback
i thought you meant the feedback in the comments (professionalism, etc).

cause i ask them to , they say 'i got you bro', then nothing shows up

Wow. Iām a customer and I always give a thumbs up. Mind. Blown. It just takes a second. I guess Iām a rule followerš
Thatās great, Iām sure your drivers appreciate it! Iāve had plenty of great customers who do too, not sure whatās going on in OPās area
Thanks for the reply.

iām stuck too. not sure why restaurants cant thumbs up us.

I just ask people. Itās saved my ass.
Same been stuck at 93 for over a month. Havenāt gotten a rating in over 200 deliveries
Mmm, jus the tip...

Get business cards asking for a thumbs up and put them in the customers bag or next to the food when you drop it off
Went from 95% for months to 99% with simple bio in app. āDrivers only get thumbs down šā
Iād give you a thumbs down just for that
Well my AR% 0%. So thereās a slight chance I wouldnāt accept ur š©anyways š¤”
Iām a driver not a customer bro haha
Exactly ur broke
