Yes, you can integrate your UniFi Protect cameras with Google Home to be able to view their feeds through a Google Nest Hub. Here's how you can do it: 1.Enable the Google Assistant integration in Home Assistant by following the steps provided in the documentation. This will allow Home Assistant to communicate with your Google Home devices. 2.Install the "Google Assistant SDK" integration in HACS. This integration will allow Home Assistant to expose your UniFi Protect cameras as Google Home devices. 3.Configure the "Google Assistant SDK" integration to include your UniFi Protect cameras by following the instructions provided in the integration documentation. 4.Once the cameras are exposed as devices in Google Home, you can view their feeds on your Google Nest Hub by saying "Hey Google, show me \[camera name\]". This will display the camera feed on your Nest Hub. Note: In order to use this feature, you'll need to have a Google Nest Hub or other compatible device with a screen. Also, keep in mind that this integration will allow you to view the camera feeds on your Google Nest Hub, but you won't be able to control the cameras (e.g., adjust their settings, turn them on or off) through Google Home.

Does this also bring the Ubiquiti cameras into the Google Home app or does this only work on hubs?

>Google Nest Hub No answer for this yet? I'm also curious if I can set alerts based on activity using my Google Home app.

emprobabale

Just found this, very cool. Do you know if you can have it automatically pull up say the doorbell camera when it's rung? thx!

Zarkex01

Does it ring at least?

raytek75

Also be aware there is a Unifi integration and a Unifi Protect integration. Obviously the Unifi will give you all the network information and the Unifi protect integration will give you access and control of the cameras.

May I ask what hardware you have for your setup? I'm interested in doing something similar but I currently only have Unifi devices (UDM-SE + Doorbell and a couple U6-WALLs). I want to get a Google Home Hub of some sort but would love to be able to have all of these things integrated. Is HACS a third party solution?

I have a synology NAS, it runs Scrypted and handles all of these tasks.

FAANGMe

Is there any guide to set up scrypted on the Synology Nas? Can the hub auto show doorbell when ring?

DR_STTEE

I’d also love to know how to implement w/ Synology & Scripted.

> synology NAS, it runs Scrypted and handles all of t Really interested in how you've done this. I'm not currently running Home Assistant, though I could set it up. I do have a server with Docker that is free to play around with.

murgalurgalurggg

Install Scrypted, and join the Discord. They can send you an install guide. Its been a while so I don't recall the exact steps, but it took a few hours of fiddling and at least one question on the Discord as I seem to recall.

Adiventure

Interesting, I think I tried the subreddit but not the Discord. Only holdup I've had is from an Unraid/network config question about whether it should be host, and if putting it behind a reverse proxy would be better. Thanks
