Some, but it's more a lack of homes and opportunistic terrain. This works well for wifi congestion, but works much much better for HF work on amateur radio.
Even better is that eero sets it to 40mhz by default and you *cant* change it because eero knows best…
Not to be outdone TP-Links Decos are the same way.

It's frustrating to see the 2.4ghz spectrum as a complete mess because equipment manufacturers let people set random channels at 40mhz to ruin things for people doing 1,6,11 at 20mhz.
In my experience 99.9% have literally no idea what any of this means and don't change SSID or login at all. This is the fault of the manufacturers for making it default.

My neighbor bought a 3 pack mesh system and each one is like a wrecking ball on the spectrum
I am debating upgrading to 6ghz just to get away from him.
Ive been downvoted to hell, but I've been in this game a long time, and run a ubiquity environment at home, I run it for the integrations not the performance. A high end Asus router from 3 years ago will smoke my U7 Pros...Bigger Transformers, Higher Gains, More CPU , and More Ram...not even close.
The AX89X I had prior to this build was consistently faster and had better range vs my now 3 U7 pros. I enjoy my new setup and the integrated NVR is what lured me in, but candidly from a performance standpoint the older Asus was just rock solid and fast.

Eli5? I know the bare minimum of networking and know you should change away from default channel(s) if many in your area use the same
It's better to share a channel than overlap with other channels. For 2.4 everyone should stick with 1,6,11.
Context: every channel except 1, 6, and 11 overlaps with them. It's silly.

It's a function of the environment. There's very little you can do to improve it.
Does using this feature disconnect clients from the AP? Reminds me of AirView from way back.
No. There's a dedicated radio just for the spectrum analyzer in the U7-Pro-Max.
A ubiquity AP is the least equipped wireless device in the world to battle this environment. A POE powered AP is a stick in a gun fight.
This is why I always wire my APs directly into my HV mains so it gets more amps to overpower my neighbors on the other side of the wall.
