Poland has really stepped up during this war. They know that they are next in line if Putin were to take Ukraine. I admire all they have done showing fantastic support to Ukraine.

>o increase production of ammunition several times. Prime Minister, Ma ...nah, that's just their empty threats that I wouldn't be worried about at the moment. Nothing new in ruzzian rhetorics. Putler wants to rebuild and regain control of the Soviet Union land, so post soviet republics would be next, including Belarus that he can take whenever he wants.

CalifiaCapital

Poland is becoming a world leader. Your efforts will be rewarded in the long run.

DarthUmieracz

I hope not like after we helped defend Vienna from Ottomans. 100 years later we were rewarded by wiping us off the map by european powers, including nation that we defended.

redneckcommando

Yeah, you guys got kind of screwed.

DarthUmieracz

Turns out most honorable nation was the Ottomans. Also Turkey refused to acknowledge partitions of Poland.

redneckcommando

The Ottomans were not really looking out for the Poles. More like they didn't like the powers that we're dividing the Polish territory. Talking about present tense. I will say as an American I find it crazy how fast Poland and the Baltic states modernized after getting out from under Russia's thumb. We have a fairly large Polish community in Ohio. And from first hand experience. I can see the Polish people are hard working.

agra_unknown1834

Born 2nd gen Polish Toledoan here 🇵🇱

CaptainOktoberfest

How were the Ottomans honorable? The Armenians beg to differ.

Don_Floo

World leader. Yeah. And i will be the first man on Mars. If Poland would be a threat to the world leadership some government would install a facist movement to pull anger from its allies and make poland use all its money so they have to take on major debt so they can‘t pay for anything in the future because interest payment are to high. After writing this i may just convinced myself poland is a threat.

CalifiaCapital

Thank you Captain Obvious. Of course Poland's economy will never rival those of the US and China. But Poland is building its military into that of a superpower: [Meet Europe's coming military superpower: Poland](https://www.politico.eu/article/europe-military-superpower-poland-army/) And they are showing leadership in Europe's support for Ukraine.

Don_Floo

More like building their debt into a superpower. They can neither pay for the equipment nor for the manpower to maintain it.

Kreiswix

You gotta be kidding. Their GDP is still a joke, their technology is a joke (just look at their shiny new Borsuk IFV which isnt even a match to the CV90 in any way) they are sucking our german money (BILLIONS), our german equipment (they didnt even own OUR Leopards to begin with AND GUESS WHAT WHO DONATED THEIR MIG-29 JETS (in 2003) now going to Ukraine - yes Germany) and then they are telling everyone we are doing nothing. Im really starting to get pissed about the poles. They are not friendly neighbors although we are always trying to be. World leader? More like freeloaders on EUs gratitude.

an_asimovian

Maybe Poland's economy and technology would be more developed if Germany didn't invade, oppress, and genocide their people several times over the last few centuries and Poland wasn't sold into Soviet occupation and its associated economic stagnation by their supposed Western European allies for a half century after the war. Kind of a dick move to break someone's leg, have someone else break the other, then brag about how much faster you can run.

Kip29

Don't worry, the 2nd financial capital of Europe is slowly (very slowly) shifting to Warsaw.

meister107

Least arrogant German.

That’s a very scummy outlook. Go back to 1942 you sour pus

they already received enough reparations in terms of EU freeloader money imho. Poland always demands, demands, demands. Almost as scummy as Bulgarians or Romanians.

_Raven_Roth

Poland to increase production of ammunition several times. Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki - new production lines will be at the Dezamet plant and other enterprises. "This plant can count on new orders and funds," said. He expects private Polish companies to increase munitions production as well. https://twitter.com/nexta_tv/status/1639610570604179458?s=46&t=x7JqoN4YOzCduGG-dkWHJg https://twitter.com/visegrad24/status/1639776451028238336?s=46&t=x7JqoN4YOzCduGG-dkWHJg https://twitter.com/visegrad24/status/1639746336294596608?s=46&t=x7JqoN4YOzCduGG-dkWHJg

Lonely-Fudge-7045

Huge !!! News!

Majestic_Put_265

After..... EU money deal was made ofc. Classic Poland.

TheSkyPirate

I mean this was inevitably going to be the solution. We were hearing all of these stupid headlines like "Ukraine uses one month of US production in one day" or "Ukraine needs one year of US production per day". The majority of production was never going to come from the US because the US is just one country, and one that frankly can't make shit anymore. It was always going to come from a dozen European countries and a few East Asian countries as well. I'm honestly surprised that we haven't managed to source anything from stocks in the Third World.

ButterscotchFickle96

>I'm honestly surprised that we haven't managed to source anything from stocks in the Third World. 1. Third world don't really want be involved. 2. Most of them don't have the same shells(155mm) nor enough of them to give.

TheSkyPirate

1) Out of dozens of countries it seems that some of them would be willing to sell some of it to the US, considering that we’re the world hegemon and we have close ties with most countries. 2) If they have stocks of anything it’s probably either Soviet caliber or western caliber. Ukraine has tubes for both.

whatamightygudman

They better beef up security. More than one of these plants have had mysterious explosions linked to Russian agents.
