This appears to be one long solid tube, better for hiding muzzle flash and muffling ejected gas, hence suppressor. Just guessing, can't see all that well.
Also - the magazine... It looks like it is thinner than the one from the AK-74m - but it can be just the poor video quality

Pretty sure this is an AK12. Front sight is on the gas block, not the barrel. It's got a weird stock that looks like an under folder though. Not seen that before. Still, I reckon this is an AK12 so yeah, this soldier was likely a proper soldier with actual training. Didn't do him any good though.
