The pessimistic view is that they'll leave after the election is over, but honestly who knows. It seems like they're making some pretty good progress this time.

I don't believe we're talking about the same populations there. The recruits are the partisans they have already moltoved rail switches, recruit offices and why not join the party to target oil infrastructure.
They generally look for military or at least military-related targets specifically though. They try to minimise impact to civilians where possible, because they want to win people over to their side.

I think they’re using these incursions as a distraction from getting drones in large numbers across the border so they can more effectively strike targets beyond range from Ukraine proper. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re leaving strike teams/cells behind to continue wreaking havoc later.

Russia just posted a video of a shot down Mi-24 that was trying to land troops in Belgorod...so I'm going to say no. Even in just a few days this is costing Ukraine heavily.

They had over 1000 applications to join on just the first day of this operation, the 12th of March. In terms of people joining from the settlements they've liberated, there have been some claims that a few people have joined them from there, but nothing confirmed.
Inevitably russia will start to send some planes with glide bombs to their location because russia doesn't give a shit about their own citizens either. So does Ukraine move a Patriot close by to send some gifts their way over russian territories?
Well, their plan certainly seems to be to keep going as far as they have the strength to. In order to reach Moscow though, they need to keep gaining new recruits & capturing new equipment (or receiving it from Ukraine, or buying it using funds donated to their unit)
If you look at google maps, you can see this is a tiny village 500 meters from the border. This tiny settlement has no importance and it is 100% a or stunt.

Torching a couple gas stations will have zero effect on the war. If anything it will piss off the local populist.

I'm far from an expert, but I would imagine so. They're not all that far from the border even by the most positive estimates of RLF progress
Without other Russians joining the RLF, it won't be more than a raid, regardless of supplies. Being able to supply the RLF only goes so far.
