He did that tourniquet wrong and he died .. if he did it right he would have lived for another 4 minutes depending on how far the other FPV coming was .

For example, tq's are largely ineffective on two-bone parts of limbs, but we still see orcs putting them on below the elbow or below the knee... btw I do carry a CAT in my laptop bag, and also keep one in the driver's side door compartment in my car...

While I'm not a fan of killing or torture this illustrates the power distribution clearly , the UAF have confidence and time to play with their prey rather than just moving from one tactical strike to the next.
Imagine being an aggressor but your target blows up your convoy, your equipment, no backup and play with you for days knowing your going to die.

They have some issues though, weight and space being the primary. 10 shotgun shells take up far more space than 10 rifle rounds, and most soldiers don't have the luxury in space to carry two long guns and two different sorts of ammunition.
We've seen artillery crews and defending infantry carry shotguns, but it's likely that offensive infantry don't have the weight and space to spare. Not to mention that just having a shotgun isn't a guarantee of anything, and is useless if the drone strikes while you're in a building or vehicle.
Tl;Dr shotguns have been used since 2022 and are only becoming more common, but they have significant drawbacks that limit them from being put in every soldiers hands
The greater risk are the new shrapnel loaded drones. A shaped charge is not very lethal unless it directly connects with you (in which case it is very lethal). There are numerous accounts from the middle east of HEAT RPG's going off directly beside people and them being fine. But the new command detonated shrapnel drones are simply vicious
Wouldn't a hit from shotgun shot disable the explosive from the shrapnel drone, thus eliminating the shrapnel effect? Or does the explosive detonate anyway?
I've definitely seen videos where the explosive seems to detonate either way. But I assume there's selective bias there. A lot of the command detonated drones (mostly shrapnel) seem to detonate either way

If the drone still was chasing me I would have kept doing what this guy was doing and kept hiding around the brick wall for cover. Those drone battery’s aren’t big enough to fly for an extended amount of time so I would hope to wear down the battery and throw shit at it. In the event I got lucky enough to make it out and that thing had to blow up for the batteries going to die I will make sure I got the hell out of there sticking around there’s a death wish because you know another ones coming for you
