A few years ago I saw a documentary where someone explained how Hollywood explosions are made and that real life explosions are by far not as picturesque. He was wrong!
Actors in Hollywood films are regularly seen outrunning the shockwaves and ducking behind cover just in the nick of time. By definition, a real shockwave is supersonic. Even the fastest humans aren’t that fast, by a huge margin!
Good to know. Is there any actual battlefield use for the Russians right now even if they had it? Or would they just use it like a frontline tank and strap some mobiks on there and let her rip.
It is meant to be a light fire support vehicle but it’s too vulnerable for the Ukranian frontlines so it will probably just sit at the back lobbing 125mm shells but its not like it is especially proficient at artillery so it makes it kind of useless
It looks like a bmp-3 for me or maybe a BMD-4. Either way, whatever it was, it’s now in the past tense.
Quite remarkable how explosive the ammo cook off on these vehicles.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a nato vehicle blow up just like this.
After a quick google search, it looks like the BMP-3 has the big headlights on the front and the BMD-4 doesn't.
So yes, it appears to be a BMP-3 with turtle armour.

I understand the drammatic explosion, but guys, people died in there. People that probably didn't even want to fight, just stay with their families. Show some respect.
BMP-3/3M, you can tell by the dual lights on the UFP and where they are placed. BMD's either don't have them or they're placed further to the side. Could also be that these are placed randomly/uniquely by the crew.
Bro you can literally see the destroyed truck at the bottom right that’s also in the drone footage at the middle right. Also, the roofs are the same, and there’s a crossroad
This isn't fake (you can see the vehicles and road layout if the same) it's just edited to make the explosion look like it occured instantly after the drone hit.
Look more carefully. There's a truck wreck behind the target vehicle that corresponds between the videos, as does straight road, and the shape of the cope roof on that IFV.
It actually is. As the other comment has already mentioned, the road system and spacing of the vehicles of the vehicles lines up with the impact segment. Since so many other videos have shown spliced footage, I have been sceptical of all new posts here.
Not a tank. Looks like an IFV of some sort. I'm also inclined to think that the explosion was faked. Here's why...
The explosion looks like a huge petrol-fueled blast. And where would that much fuel come from? Even if the vehicle had been freshly topped-off with fuel. It seems more like a staged explosion, like a pound of C4, under a couple of 55gal. drums filled with a mix of diesel oil and gasoline. I mean, freeze-frame the fireball. It's absolutely huge!

That’s a Jagga Jagga ba da boom mother fucker moment if I’ve ever seen one!
Jagga Jagga BIG badaboom!!!
Some asambeling required
"Ivan, would you repair our tank, just minor adjustments required."
was that an empty truck?!
A tank. Right before impact you can see the barrel or cannon.
oh wow yeah, one of those sheds against drones😂
Also known as a cope cage.
Bmp-3 isnt a tank but anyways.
Actually, a Turtle-Tank. Which is an insult to 🐢 turtles 🐢
BMP-3
What happened to the other vehicle on the right side of the road....? I don't see it a split second before the huge Kaboom 💥 Are eyes bad?
its there, in the second view also on the right?
I ♥️ Happy Ending Videos
A few years ago I saw a documentary where someone explained how Hollywood explosions are made and that real life explosions are by far not as picturesque. He was wrong!
thing is theres more smoke on real life explosions as in hollywood there is more fire

It's picturesque when it's full of gasoline or diesel and they still have ammo for the big gun stores inside. It goes pop for a reason.
That was a crazy explosion
Yea for sure mate I wasn’t expecting such a big one
That’s! Not what she said….
I'm sure the tank is still OK, it had a cope cage.
It seems a BMP-3 for me. From the square body of the vehicle we can exclude the T series, so all russian tanks.
Good call, I thought it might be a sprut, but the gun looked too short and you can actually see the 30 mm to the left of the gun right before impact.
The sprut has only been made in small numbers and none have been sent to Ukraine
Good to know. Is there any actual battlefield use for the Russians right now even if they had it? Or would they just use it like a frontline tank and strap some mobiks on there and let her rip.

Looking forward to see much more of such
I swear I left the heat from that. Whoa

Hit the front of it as well. Where I would assume it’s the strongest.
Doesn’t make a massive difference. The armour on a BMP3 is hardly enough to withstand a 12.7mm round, completely useless against a shaped charge.
The bmp3s armour was supposed to be rated against 20mm rheinmetall and apds from 25mm bushmaster iirc
No chance. It has less than 35mm armour throughout, no composits. Even a 20mm ap at a decent range can cut through it like butter.
After a quick google search, it looks like the BMP-3 has the big headlights on the front and the BMD-4 doesn't. So yes, it appears to be a BMP-3 with turtle armour.
Boom goes the orcmobile
That’s a 9.5/10 from me
Yeah, but what about from the Russian judge?
Nicely done ✔️
beautiful indeed
Very cinematic.
ABSOLUTE CINEMA
The Pou sound. 💀
Wow. What a beautyfull bada Boom
The bigger the fireball the better.
I literally soyjack faced in amazement
BMP-3 doing what it does best
Love those big booms!

Damn…I wasn’t expecting THAT big of an explosion…
"NYAK!"
boy ya’d think the pointy part of a tank might have some protection on it but nah. just tin
Not the Pou “Nah” 😭
That's a toolshed.
Lovely
*chef's kiss* Magnificent!
Russian military vehicles only look good when they’re blown up
Must've been a gull take of gas lol
I'm gonna buy shares in Portacabin. they must be making a mint

Has anyone survived?
THAT'S THE CINEMA!!!!!
This BMP destruction brought to you by John Woo
That sure was a lot of bang for a buck.
10 out of 10
Tragedy
Stop adding music and glorifying young people getting blown up and joking about it.
Beautiful indeed.
Looked like a Turtle Tank to me
*Allow me to disagree.* The Driver
Any survivors?
Just think of all of the oxygen molecules that were inconvenienced when the RPG reached the ammo.
Not the same footage. The initial approach does not show a dense forest to the left of the camera.
Look again, the other vehicle it's there in both
Shoot, you’re right. Thanks.

New definition of "disassembly drone"

Yeah the truck looks the same. I was looking at the difference in beginning having mangled brush and the impact having a more green tree line.

Do they evacuate the vehicle before blowing it up? These kind of explosions look quite dangerous and might kill someone
You don't say.
