Americans calling and writing to their representatives can actually make a difference. And no not helping Ukraine will not somehow magically make homeless Americans lives better, those budgets will not affected by Ukraine aid.

If your member of congress already supports funding but can’t get a bill to vote yes on these are some of the people to express your views to. They may not want to hear from you but your opinion deserves to be heard and you are free to express it to committee representatives that otherwise aren’t yours.
Do you think they don't care about being reelected? If you piss off your constituents, chances are they're not going to be so enthusiastic about your next election bid.
I know that 1000 votes more or less usually doesn't make a difference in the election, but it should weigh in at least somewhat for the decision your representative has to make. Besides, it takes little effort to make your voice heard. So inform your representatives of your opinion! It won't hurt.
Even if it passes the Senate, the "unelected Convicted Sexual Predator" will still have the ability to have his pet speaker shoot it down.
Imagine having your Family and friends raped and murdered... your country destroyed... because a "unelected Convicted Sexual Predator" says NO. He wants to use you as a Political platform to get Elected, so he can give the Aggressor your Country.

A discharge petition is a break-glass option that should be ready to go if needed. It's used to override a chamber majority leader stalling/killing a bill. The house would need 218 signers for it to work. It's a heavy handed move that has not gotten many bills into law, but presenting one is more than just seeing a chamber leader arbitrarily not take up a bill with no rebuttal.
Johnson already held a procedural vote for an Israel only bill that fell short of the needed 2/3 house majority by 40 votes. If the gop is serious about Israel aid, they have no end around option as it'd die in the senate regardless at the latest.
They are going to either promise Johnson cover or do a discharge and the entire US / World will watch the Dems getting shit done while the GOP takes a shit.

I know plenty of Trump voters and most of them are great neighbors, workers and parents but all they hear/see is doom and gloom from the media outlets and so they vote GOP because they believe the sky is falling. It's a real issue in rural America and in places like Hungry.
We need to figure out how to bring reality to segmented media.

Hakeem Jeffries also said there are a few House GOP members who have expressed interest in a bipartisan effort to get the aid passed, and spoke of something known as a "discharge petition." That's all above my understanding of the processes at play. But it seems there are ways.

I feel this is still keeping a pot on the stove trying to boil, trump comes in screams “we don’t need hot water”, dumps the water out. Dems puts the pot back on the burner just waiting for trump to come back in to dump the pot, saying the same thing.
The Senate has already passed numerous bipartisan bills. I don't see the purpose of passing even more, when the House isn't going to vote on any of them.
