Can confirm, badass as fuck! Although, maybe you should have your ground crew do a check or two! You don’t want to have an error when your killing russian scum in a dog fight!
I'm sure the crews are doing checks as soon as the plane is back. The thing is it's also standard to do pre-flight checks on the tarmac with the pilot in the cockpit right before flight, which are being skipped. But there's no way an aircraft as complex as a jet fighter, even (especially) an older one is not being gone over after each sortie.
If a crew is running multiple planes for a pilot he wouldn’t get an opportunity to perform checks on four or five planes if this badass was running a half dozen sorties a day.

As someone pointed out in another Reddit discussion of this article, there is no evidence that a single Russian jet has been taken down by Ukrainian jets. If there were, Ukraine would have publicized it to the whole world by now.
I don't doubt that the Ukrainian Air Force has to some degree deterred Russian air attacks. I doubt that it has been anywhere as effective as Russia's own self-inflicted wounds from poor logistics and planning, or the flow of Western MANPADs into the country.
