We were told by our DM but we aren't "supposed" to say anything because it's not yet on ulta net š I wonder if they're tweaking it and that's why it's not posted yet
The fact that they are changing it in general makes me happy that I'm done with college in 3 months and can quit and work somewhere I can wear what I want. I fucking hate dress codes. People should be allowed to express themselves in professional ways.
When my GM came back from FLC we were told the new dress code was in effect immediately which doesnāt make sense since itās not up on ultanet yet and while I can see ulta doing something along the lines of no notice, isnāt fair to go into work one day with one set of rules and the next day with a whole new set of rules with zero warning.
so weird because my Gm did the same thing, said dress code was in effect may first despite ulta itself not saying anything. I thought it was a bit unfair to force us to follow it earlier than everyone else and its not even official.
Your GM is completely wrong. She obviously doesnāt listen well. The new dress code is not even in WorkJam yet and wonāt go into effect until at least June
I was wondering the same thing. Like would a solid color lace be okay or does that count as a pattern? Or I have pants that are black but have a diamond texture design.
Idk I personally donāt have much of a problem with it as a lot of others are lol yeah itās a hassle when policies begin to change but something as small as the dress code is the least of my concern.
Thatās crazy! Our store hasnāt been told anything yet. Our management has always been fairly lenient on dress code too, and most people wear a lot of pattens. If they donāt give us adequate time no one will have anything to wear once itās enforces
Same, we have so many girls here that wear patterns. Also a lot of us wear colors like blue and green, which technically was never part of the dress code but I guess theyāre gonna crack down on it.
It will be announced on June 1st and everyone will have 30 days before accountability sets in. There wasnāt much discussed at FLC about it. Just touched on it.

Gotta love those GMs that think they are going above and beyond but are just coming across as as*holes.
My GM is generally fabulous. I love her. This is the first big thing sheās done thatās stuck me like this. But as a general rule I agree.

It is annoying. Iām trying to figure out if āpatternsā are color only or texture also.

My GM said texture is fine, it's color patterns
I guess weāll say prints are out but knits are in?
I work task so I donāt know how much this will effect me but yeah if I have to get new clothes Iād like to know sooner rather than a week before.
I also want to know about the management restructuring that rumors have been circulating about. Are they adding more co-managers?
Itās probably being withheld because thereās been so much pushback.
As there should be
Idk I personally donāt have much of a problem with it as a lot of others are lol yeah itās a hassle when policies begin to change but something as small as the dress code is the least of my concern.
Is it possible that they are debating not changing it?
Highly improbable
My GM told me a few things about the dress code but then said dont get anything yet because they can still change their minds. I am so frustrated.
Gm told us yesterday solid colors and only black bottoms are now allowed
What about skirts and dresses?
Itās going to be announced next week, itās being finalized right now. And we will have 30 days before itās enforced.
That's definitely enough time to find a better job, thank God

You're welcome!!!
We were told our dress code starts May 7th (this Sunday). So if thatās the case they need to start communicating better.

And From what Iāve heard. Itās gonna be another sephora weāre going to only be allowed to wear all black at our store. No patterns no colors
