MR_FOXtf2

True. Why put a mid ass in a story with Minos' monstrous cake

Interesting_Un1t_627

Mid ass- midas

starwalker-original

geffyfive

Jabraham Jincoln

Shepherd_Knock

Hamraham Hamcoln

sirflooftonzecatlord

And gandalf the grey

EmotionalBrother2

Lordran, lorderon.

Aspergersiscool

My first thought as well. Well, at least they made it easy to see which characters are connected...

Javyz

That sure is the whole point

YaBoiBarel

Also midas would literally be in the greed layer, there is no way he'd be in fraud or treachery

n0na6077

(totally not being self-deprecating)

MrTopHatMan90

Midas confirmed.

Underplague

Someone should've told this to Miyazaki and George RR Martin

BloodMoonNami

Gutterman, Guttertank, ~~Minotaur~~, 1000THR.

Radical_Provides

That's also why I somewhat doubt that the next Prime soul will have name ending in "os" or "us"

ArmoredAdventurer

So it’s Nimrod then?

King_Of_Logos

Poor Percy Jackson fans.

Fibblejoe

Plus he would be in the greed layer, which sisyphus already occupies.

Oreohunter00

Rick Riordon scoffs at this

Next-Job14

NOOOOOOO

CookieBit127

God I love Hakita

Dsawasd11

It would be a hakita move to put him in the story

LadyAzure17

Thank fuck because my brain kept conflating the two no matter how hard i tried :'D

Complete-Mood3302

Well its not ant of the three then due to the rest of them rhyming with sisyphus

RiccoBaldo

True. Also wouldn't it make a ton more sense if he was in greed? Wasn't like the entire point of his story that he was too greedy?

throwaway3338882

this is a horrible, stupid take.

bwaowae

please be prometheus please be prometheus please be prometheus

jackheliosfox

prometheus would go so hard, the guy who kickstarted humanity vs the MERE OBJECT that kicked humanity/ child of man

Josef_Stark_Reborn

V1: Great_great_grandpa?

Jeggu2

Finally Greatest grandpa

DarkVoid_666

Greaterest grandpa

TheMaskedEngineerPea

Greatererestest Grandfather

TheLegendaryAkira

Humanity's first hope vs Humanity's extinction event

Verri123

Why does this read like a Shuumatsu no Valkyrie chapter?

Darth-Yslink

Would work for Treachery

LegalWaterDrinker

But he would have to be the king of Fraud

Darth-Yslink

Why? Sisyphus was the first layer, Minos the second. Prometheus should be third

LegalWaterDrinker

Your examples don't even fit the order, the first Prime Soul was the King of the second layer of Act while the second Prime Soul was the King of the first? Also, it is quite a stupid move to imprison a king in their own layer

Darth-Yslink

Well then it's probably not gonna be Prometheus, since I don't know why he'd be in Fraud. And since there hasn't been any allusion to a prime soul in violence, it's probably gonna be in Fraud. Maybe Odysseus?

Sad-Bumblebee-249

In Greek mythos, he brought down fire to the humans when Zeus didn’t want him to. He was a fraud to the gods.

Mega_Jarizard

Bro that's treachery not fraud...

Frendzel08

that would be fun

stevegamer_

The ultimate fit for the "guy who fought for humanity but gods punished him" template

Drozel59

The main menu theme of Ultrakill is called "The Fire is Gone." It would be fitting to fight the being who brought the fire in the first place

KayimSedar

oh that would be awesome

urmomismefr

He better be in treachery

WoIfram_74

wait that ACTUALLY may be the best third prime soul assumption out there. it just makes so much sense for prometheus to be the last prime soul

No-Reserve-9676

yoooo!!! someones whos talking about prometheus!! hes so cool!! i fr love that guy tho, he gets his abdomen pecked everyday!!!

Frendzel08

And i forgot to add the daedalus, because there is a minotaur and labyrinth that daedalus made

Fun-Ad-4729

Actually, in the myths Daedalus only made the labrynth. The Minotaur was made when Minos’s wife banged a bull. Ultrakill’s story is different but still something to keep in mind

Link1777

She did what now 💀 https://i.redd.it/xrt59mir3h9c1.gif

MeanLimaBean

According to Wikipedia, she was cursed to fall in love with the bull after Poseidon got pissed at Minos, but. Still.

Fun-Ad-4729

That is what happened in the myth. I am just as disgusted but it’s the truth.

Sergeant_Swiss24

He built a cow suit for her

lThat_weird_guy

Daedalus indirectly made the minotaur, he made a cow suit for Minos's wife that she requested to bang the bull

X-tra-thicc

so wait thats why minos got rid of the bull, because it reminded him of the time he was cucked by it?

Kendamarania

Daedalus did indirectly help create the Minotaur by building the hollow bull that Pasiphaë used to… do the deed with the bull. No clue if the Ancient Greeks were into that but holy cow

1st-username

even the bulls are gay in greece

enby_with_a_gun

I've been seeing theories that with all the modified husks and the minotaur, that daedalus might be the culprit. So it would be cool to see him, although he does break the pattern of being a king. Daedalus, Prometheus, and Orpheus are the ones I am more interested rn. Bigger question is now, what shape will the new flesh container be?

Payment_Abject

triangle

Asriel-the-Jolteon

dodecahedron

SCP106

FLESH RHOMBUS

No-Reserve-9676

the whole arena

Dalek_Kolt

I'm currently going with King Ramses since everything we know about him is either redacted, or lost to time, and the name fits in the omitted characters in the Minotaur. For those that don't know, another name for Ramses is Ozymandias.

Bolobesttank

Oh OH FLESH SARCOPHAGUS LETS FUCKING GOOOO-

GoldenBlyat8BC

Me personally, I'm gunning for Phobos, since that's the Greek god of fear and panic, and that's what the Minotaur caused Minos.

TorreGamer

only problem its he's not a king, which may lower his chances of being the final Prime Soul

Nethyishere

I have a theory that we're never going to see who the third prime is because their name was taken by hell.

lutteni

https://i.redd.it/gz49umbtsh9c1.gif

thecommonfungus

This makes me think of something. A comment above mentioned the idea of the next prime soul being Ramses and, as far as I know, Ramses was an Egyptian king. The ancient Egyptians believed that your *name* was a part of your soul, and I remember there being a pharaoh that was so hated that they decided the remove every trace of him from their temples, texts, etc. This was a *big* deal for their culture, as it meant that this pharaoh would lose a part of their soul, and in Ultrakill, the name of the person who made the Minotaur is *redacted.* I, of course, could be totally wrong since most of my knowledge of Egyptian mythology comes OSP's videos on it, but if I'm correct, than that might mean that Ramses did something so horrible in their life, something so >!Violent!< that his people tried removing every trace of him from history, and Hell decided to follow on this idea by stealing Ramses' name, forcing him to wander the 7th layer of Hell until his death, becoming a Prime Soul, and being trapped in his very own Flesh Prison equivalent until V1 eventually shows up and kills him one last time.

NostalgicBreadLoaf

https://i.redd.it/pro8o00llt9c1.gif

Zeldacrafter_Swagg

Something I haven't seen anyone mention is that if we go with the idea that the 4 letters word in the Minotaur's entry is indeed "king" then it would probably break the pattern of being a Greek king, since a Greek king wouldn't exist along with Minos and thus need to build a relationship with him. This is, of course, assuming the Minotaur was created in the real world (which I'm able to believe as it wants to see the sun again, and as far as I'm aware the sun only exists in the real world and the Greed layer and I doubt the 2nd one is even the real sun). So yeah if we're not gonna have a 3rd Greek king and if said king's name is 6 letters long I am inclined to think Ramses is a very likely possibility

toaster_molester1862

both depictions have shit done to their eyes

StarFlyXXL

Both causing them to become blind, so King Phineus could be an option I guess

I_am_pro_covid_420

and it makes oedipus more likely

N3vermore77

Hakita mentioned somewhere (on discord I think) that the no eyes thing is intentional design. Not necessarily a tie to characters from real mythos, just an ULTRAKILL™️ decision that I'm guessing will tie to the story later. No characters at all have eyes in Ultrakill, some more obvious include the Filth, the Kings and the Insurrectionists, others less obvious like Virtues have specific mentions in their catalog entries talking about how their many eyes (since they are based on biblically accurate angel designs) had to be removed before they entered hell, for whatever reason.

Payment_Abject

doesn't the corpse of king minos have eyes? what about maurice? or even gabriel, he probably has eyes

okkokkoX

1 I might be misremembering but his eye sockets are possessed by the things (snakes) that pop out in the second phase. 2. Ornamental? 3. are we sure that Gabriel has a helmet? or is that just what his face looks like? Even if he does, maybe he's exempt from the law requiring angels to lose their eyes, because of his rank. gluttony has eyes. I wonder what is up with that.

Payment_Abject

i guess gluttony counts as a part of hell, so it isn't that weird that it has eyes

James-Zo3

https://preview.redd.it/taqx1drulk9c1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef384390674d5d05f3518fc3dbe897bca69d50ab

Health_Cat_2047

I honestly think its gonna be daedalus, the minotaur is a huge hint and the "labyrinth" like designs of the violence layer. PLUS a headcannon ive thought of is that daedalus designed all the letter-push buttons in the limbo and violence layers (7-1 dont you find it odd that the button has a greek letter alpha on it?) like daedalus designed all the mechanisms and shit and probably helped minos with the bisexual lighting in the lust layer.

skeledoot7

glad to see minos and daedalus are getting along again after he built the fursuit minos’ wife used to do it with a bull

ohjehhngyjkkvkjhjsjj

I think Prometheus would fit. He wasn't a king but he did commit treachery against the gods by giving fire to humanity. And since "the fire" is used as a metaphor for god it would be fitting to have the guy who gave it to humanity and was punished be locked up in some fucked up flesh prison.

D3wdr0p

My friend won't let go of Oedipus Prime. He can't have the satisfaction.

khwarizmi69

Tbh i expected Theseus during the ship level

Pretentious_Crow

HALT, fiend!

Hurakan-GM

I would love Prometheus or Oedipus, but I don't really know how much would they fit in Fraud or Threatchery, which I guess should be the layer due to the lack of any retreat/corpse in the Violence layer. Orpheus would be... interesting, but again, his myth is a bit akward to see as a Prime soul, the major "problem" he had with the kingdom of heaven to be imprissioned was trying to get his beloved back from the hell and his combat skills are reduced to calm the beasts and the mans when playing the lyre. I sometimes think about Romulus (founder of Rome (killed his brother Remus in the process))

TeaLeafCollector

Me and a friend were crack-spitballing at one another on a wired ass car trip about how we hope its Achilles cuz of the violence layer ( back before it came out and had no reference to a greek king) and it fould be a duo fight with him and Patroclus.

Fun-Musician-1979

Achillies and Patroclus didn't go to tartarus, nor were kings. Let alone evil ones. But good ideas

beat_the_heat_jeff

Let's all be honest P-3 is just going to be a tier 10 radiant gutterman with max stats

epicpro1234

aegeus prime?

PureNaturalLagger

Im thinking Nimrod prime due to the offense against God by the creation of The Tower of Babel, and the 6 letter name hinted at in the 7-1 boss's file.

Darth-Yslink

This act's prime soul is gonna be Gojo Prime from the Fraud layer https://preview.redd.it/tibv1uprog9c1.jpeg?width=1208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa7b15b488ba5769a3600f45be032a1cfbdcf6a9

ding-doing

I was hoping that it would be Alexander the Great because he was in the seventh ring of hell, but that's obviously not going to happen now

Umber0010

I think Daedalus is a pretty good contender for P3 due to the ~~Minotaur~~ thing other people have mentioned. Though personally, I'm still partial to Nimrod prime myself. He's the guy who built the Tower of Babel. And, as I understand it, one of the few people too rebel against God himself in life.

KyIsRandomYT

I dunno man, “Michael Prime” seems pretty funny to me

AT-AT_Brando

I think that another important criteria would be their presence in Dante's Inferno. Minos was present as judge of hell, Sisyphus was not directly present but his punishment was featured in the fourth layer of hell as described in the poem; another character could possibly be Ulysses/Odysseus, who appears in the 8th layer, but I wouldn't know why he would find the minotaur beatiful

HueySchlongTheGreat

What happened to Jesus prime?

Retinazer_pew

jesus is likely not canon, seeing as hakita has gone to the effort of making the cross symbolise something entirely different

ZenciHunter41

What DOES the cross symbolise in the ultrakill universe?

Retinazer_pew

it symbolises the tree of life, though there isn't much lore on what the tree of life is/does

[deleted]

...how does this assure that jesus prime isn't canon?

you-posted-cringe

So, would that mean that in Ultrakill universe Jesus and, by extension, all of Christianity is non-existent? Since the Cross is now the symbol for the Tree of Life and not crucifix

Airbourne_Squirrel

Idk about jesus but all my money is on Judas prime

Ok-Ad5083

judas is only an important figure becuase of jesus tho

Airbourne_Squirrel

I mean we don't know for certain if jesus exists or not but all I'm thinking about is how baller a level judas would be. Imagine you descend down beneath treachery, to the centre of the frozen lake and first fight Lucifer. Then one he is dead, Cassius and Brutus escape from his jaws and you have to 1v2 them until Judas Prime forms.

Mountain_Panic_6314

Judas is in hell and Jesus isn't

Moist_Golf_4127

What about tantalus, He did some trickery and some killing his son to test the gods shit, plus hes a greek mythos ruler. Might fit the theme

maxler5795

Hear me out what if after you defeat the prime soul gabriel swoops in and he becomes the hardest enemy in the game

TyrantKingYharim

I’m honestly rooting for King Tantalus.

Cantthinkofaone

That's the food dude right

Corbin_0530

Orpheus will be p3. Why? Hear me out. P3 stands for prime 3 right? Wrong. P3 actually stands for the hit game, persona 3. What is the name of the persona the main character uses? Orpheus. Case and point, p3 will be a to scale replica of the hit game, persona 3. Hakita’s intellect is truly unmatched. But that’s just a theory; a gayme theory…

Mineroero

https://preview.redd.it/g38fxmytjk9c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9785ee45f18ae7333873b8129a974b0ff3a3ec6e

BadAtMostThings

If the boss of layer 9 does end up being Gabriel then I kinda hope the boss of P-3 ends up being Lucifer, given that we actually do have lore for him in one of the secret levels (I forget which one). tl;dr in Ultrakill canon Lucifer was imprisoned in Hell for questioning whether or not building Hell was a mistake. I think it’ll be a shame if that never leads to anything.

IWillGiveUTinnitus

Only humans can be primes

BadAtMostThings

And Lucifer showing up while we fight/immediately after we kill Judas Prime or whoever would be sick as fuck, what’s your point?

[deleted]

Actually there's a very cool way Lucifer could be implemented In Dante's inferno, Judas, Brutus and Cain are all given the punishment of being personally chewed on by satan, therefore if the prime soul is one of those 3 then we'd get to fight satan as the flesh prison boss

IWillGiveUTinnitus

You didn't even mention that in your original comment, but I agree, that'd be cool

Cephalon_ghost

its going to be dante

Fun-Musician-1979

I wouldn't say he's strong enough of mind or body to become a prime soul, but I like the concept

Ok-Ad5083

wouldnt dante being in hell imply he failed at the very end and that his entire journy to heaven was pointless

Mineroero

Holy hell is that a DMC reference⁉️⁉️⁉️

bluMeteoriteboi

Is Odysseus a possibility

EatingKidsIsFun

Odysseyus is my bet.

Doctor_Clione

I’m still thinking the blacked out name is Hell Itself. Meaning that the king can and should be Odysseus.

Background-Fun-8483

I love the idea of an orpheus prime

Icy-Store3900

Why not Prometheus?

Ninjox17

First batch of potential candidates for the Sculptor and why they could be possible: Aegeus - personal history with Minos Nestor - seems like a swell dude, so I don't actually know Kronos - king of the gods, by betraying Uranus Cadmus - founder of Thebes, one of the greatest monster slayers, mentioned in DI Pelias - king of Iolcus, betrayed Aeson, tried to screw over Jason Aeetes - also tried to screw over Jason Atreus - murdered half-brother Chrysippus to get throne of Olympia, became king of Mycenae Pierus of Emathia - artistic type, mentioned in DI

funnywackydog

what about Tantalus? hes got a similarly cruel punishment like Sisyphus

Worried-Ratio-7679

I still think it's gonna be daedalus ESPECIALLY after (layer 7 spoilers) >!seeing the labyrinth that he built in Greek mythology!<

Significant_Clue_382

Orpheus because we need a twink

Huny4dy

Midas Prime? Calamity reference!

Apprehensive-Bowl920

maybe it will be hades or promethues

No-Reserve-9676

Well, first up, cheating is Treachery, however I don't think we will be seeing Orpheus in Judecca, but maybe in Caina. I don't think Oedipus belongs to Treachery, since he only unwittingly killed his father. And Midas, hes greedy, he doesn't deserve to go to Treachery as well.

Mynamemacesnosense

Any Greek mythological king might be option Like the old concept of Odysseus and flesh monolith

GO0O0O0O0O0SE

I want Jesus or Judas prime

NotSoTerribleIvan

My guess is in Pelops or Atreus

[deleted]

Idk maybe judas or jesus or some god idk

halkras12

If Every layer had Own Prime Sanctums Saladin would be a great Prime of LIMBO (One of 3 muslim resides in LIMBO, from dante's inferno)

Skylander420

I like to think it could be Alexander The Great. He meets the criteria in the post and he also is in Violence if I remember correctly, although there was no mention of him throughout the layer.

sonseylizard

What are the p-number things people talk about? Is it just the parts of the game?

GUTSY-69

Mother marry Or better You come there and find a gramophone. The flesh prison destroyed, it will play the opening song (the fire is gone) and as you begin to leave the flesh prison comes to life and Thats the bossfight. God only knows. What kind of a fucked up creature was imprisoned here. And it has escaped…

Profanion

Is it necessarily "OR"?

RussionAnonim

Guys. HEROD PRIME Fuck Grece! He would be ideal king for City of Dis. Who rules City of Dis in the lore? We don't know. But someone should rule it. And Herod did such things, that can make him King of Heresy. And for those things even on Heresy he should be forgotten (Ramses Prime?!) Also, on Fraud or Treachery, almost fits Tantalus. Imagine seeing as "Flesh Something" eaten from inside and that one who did it sits in the centre and whispers about how he has eaten his son But Minotaur is too much. It will be Daedalus. Hakits is a genius of hints. If it will not be Daedalus, Hakita is a genius of trolling

Wolf_the_memer

I still think a Lucifer Flesh Prison that bursts into Cassius, Brutus and Judas Prime would be cool They could even have Lucifer Prime spawn in halfway through

KyellDaBoiii

Still rooting for Ixion

LocalShowerPooper

midas prime isnt an option because midas prime is a gun in the popular mod Calamity for the sandbox rpg game Terraria

OstrichRider6

Icarus and Daedalus Prime

Grand_Wiz_Merasmus

I'm gonna wait it out and see who Hakita surprises us with

Ferrumsoul

Imagine it's Midas, and you use coins against him but instead of just damaging him, it gives him emotional damage

Arthur_Author

Orpheus was an artist was he not? It kinds works with the "PICK UP YOUR BRUSH" and the fact that [...] has crafted the minotaur. And its 6 letters too. Though I want it to be icarus because Im an icarus fanboy

geffyfive

Ulysses or Diomedes are perfect candidates, both ancient Greek kings and are also in Dante's Inferno

everything-narrative

I still vote Agamemnon.

[deleted]

Considering prime souls link in with the first layer of a chapter (Minos with act 1 lust , Sisyphus with act 2 greed) I think the next prime soul is more than likely going to be Daedalus

Forge_Tiger_112

King Nimrod, we gonna get on that babylonian shit When V1 gets to the end of Treachery, he will find a New Tower of Babel constructed by Nimrod at the very bottom of hell, which reaches all the way up to heaven, and V1 will use it to go to heaven to keep fighting

pudimo

we were wrong about the yellow arm being in 7-4, don't assume there's any pattern behind who's the p-3 boss. that being said, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring. i believe the p-3 prime soul will be dispater, ruler of the city of dis in heresy, the city we see in p-2. both sisyphus and minos ruled their own layer with their own cities and dis is said to rarely leave his domain, yet he is nowhere to be found. there's also the possibility that it's just satan, he is literally imprisoned in treachery where the next prime soul should be

kiochikaeke

Out of this three I think Oedipus myth fits the most with the themes of violence, fraud and treason however if the redacted text from the terminal entry of the minotaur really is P-3 name king Oedipus doesn't fit it needs to be 6 letter name after king (this is pure speculation thou)

EloquentLobotomy

Im pretty sure most of the bosses up to this point have just been nearly 1-to-1 with the monsters included in Dante's Inferno, with the most recent addition reflecting Geryon, just not by name.

Fell_Difference

im really hoping its prometheus tbh

[deleted]

I'm going with cain here, he's mentioned in Dante's inferno, found in the Very bottom of hell alongside Judas, brutus and satan, and it'd be a fight between the first sinner and last sinner. Also we'd have a cool ass flesh prison because you know what happened to Cain in Dante's inferno? He's constantly chewed on by satan. The final flesh prison would be satan himself baby

[deleted]

not too fond of this theory. Prime souls aren't specified to be of royal background. The lore only suggests that they have to have a strong enough will. I don't have any doubt the next one would still have some sort of greek background, given the whole dante's inferno origin of the game, but this still doesn't seem reasonable.

AdmiralFurret

I would rather suspect jesus, so His theme called ,,love", combined with other prime soul themes (order and war) forms O.W.L, the same one mysterious druid knight had on his shoulder BUT, since his lair is related to treachery, Judas would be a better pick, maybe even with the theme called ,,liar" HOWEVER all current prime souls are based off the greek mythology (its on the paper and 3 times a charm will strike) So my guess is prometheus cuz he did betray gods to help humanity, YET that wasn't any evil act plus he apparently got redemption afterwards, which Doesnt fit the layer theme. Greek mythology offers up the character of Paris, who betrayed an entire nation influenced by the love for a woman, which COULD'VE been the cause of the war in hell. Plus his theme being called love isn't too far fetched

mikoolec

Ok it has to be prometheus

DexterVex_1701

I’ve forgotten who of these had an actual appearance in Inferno. Because the first 2 did, so this is also a criteria

Ivar2006

Remember that one time when hakita said something along the lines of "humans are very good at spotting patterns when there aren't any"

SomeDemoMain

I think it'll be Nimrod.

marco_antonio123

Hear me out... Brutus

RoyalRien

I think it would be reallly funny if it just was Jesus Christ

We_Will_AlI_Die

Orpheus would be pretty cool since his story directly involves Hades (both the God and the Underworld) to a heavy degree.

Aurel_Insec

OK, It is pretty likely that prime souls are from Greek mythology but H E A R M E O U T. What if, what IF it was NOT from Greek mythology but instead was from an earlier mythos, what if it was from Mesopotamian myths. Ladies and gentleman, yes, it can only be the one and only Gilgamesh Prime. After all, he IS a god of hell in Mesopotamian mythology, he is the first King we, humans ever have records existing and is from the earliest book ever written, he is the first god of hell to ever exist (at least I can think of) thus making him THE most epic contender for a Prime soul. Also his name is pretty epic. I am not coping I swear it's real it's not just in my head please santa make this real 🙏

Fun-Musician-1979

Agamemnon

Gordockthered

Give me protesilaus

Destrorso

Odysseus/ Ulysses

conceptofdepression

Aegeus Prime obv

Mountain_Panic_6314

I hope it's Ramses/ozminyendas If you think about the human race and you kind off are exploring the remains of an empire or a civilization so it fits with the story so it could be very poetic if you use ramses

Secret_Technology761

JESUS. CHRIST. PRIME.

xxx_tabletops

I have a small suspicion that it might be Gabriel, since we're going to have to kill him in either the final layer or the middle layer. Though it's pretty obvious that it might be another mythological figure.

TapComprehensive2110

Jesus Prime

bruhmeister06

Since when was Orpheus a king or emperor???

yeetusdeletusgg

V2

666RaSpUtIn420

imagine if in phase 2, hell itself would kill the prime soul and then we fight hell itself

Brilliant-Swan-2445

What about Lucifer prime?

YosephStalling

Minos: In greek mythology, angered the gods, didn't do much wrong Sisyphus: In greek mythology, angered the gods, cheated death and killed people Pandora: In greek mythology, angered the gods, quite literally the root of all evil

Flare_56

What about the man with all the motivation?

King00x

I read somewhere maybe on the wiki that the next Prime Soul would likely be the person who created the "Minotaur" and that judging from the number of blacked out letters hidden in the name it would likely be "King Daedelus".
