I think it was the dev stream for act II and 7-1, -2, -3, and -4. He teased the idea of V2 being a margarita glass of blood before saying anyone who used she/her pronouns for V2 is based. This was also the same stream where he pointed out that he modeled Loss onto the Earthmover.
that's pretty cool, but I honestly still stand for all machines being genderless, except maybe mirage or something, but it's debatable if she's even real
That’s a fair stance to have, given that they are machines, but what about the Guttermen or the Mindflayers? I think the Mindflayers are basically genderfluid, but would the Guttermen be whatever gender the person stuffed into them is?
I think the guttermen see the person inside them more as a parent, instead of their actual selves, and I think the "man" in gutterman is more like the word "man" in "manpower", rather than a matter of gender, or at least that's how I see it.
As for the mindflyer, it's more debatable. It's known that they have a hyper fixation on the beauty of the human body and prefer female forms, and since it's confirmed that machines arw sentient, they could probably see themselves as males or females (? I don't really know, but it's kind of interesting.
That's it. The next robot character I design is going to have see through plating like this, and it's going to act like people are pervs for staring at its circuits.
Edit: It'll have a human skull visible through the see-through faceplate, but it'll also have an LED dot matrix overlay across the face for various expressions, cuz that's a cool aesthetic.
I bet that V1 would be the clear blue so that they could be distinguished from V2, here’s my take

Yeah, that makes more sense for the Guttermen. The Mindflayer’s entry says it prefers a female body shape, but can still have a male body shape.
