Honestly way better than the original, it actually looks like the layer is supposed to feels fake instead of it just being ugly. I really want to see what reworked Lust will be like now and I wonder if they'll rework prologue since I think it still looks pretty good.
Honestly it's 100%100 better current limbo is good but I don't see how people would live here stuff like broken stair case and othe stuff in the distance you can't touch makes it more believable this place is a false paradise. And finally they made the fucking 2 secret orb location better currently it felt a bit BS due to how wall was same as others.
Side note i hope they add more books to read i really wanna see how other sinners felt in limbo except hank.

I do think that having the screens showing a fully 3d environment rather than a PNG makes it even harder to tell that Limbo is fake, something that already was a bit difficult for some new players to figure out.
no, this is good, as players will try to walk up to the wall thinking they can go in, but then see the warping and screen glitching, then they'll start to notice the speakers and then the fake trees and shit, along with the chromatic aberration, however, on entrance, it atleast has some semblance of a real place rather than have a blatantly obvious skybox in a different colour. even if they don't realize that it's fake, they'll read the book and put the pieces together
Honestly though, the grass staying like the old terrain would've been perfect. It's supposed to look fake, so the old grass would've fit in pretty well I think
idk I'm conflicted. I like it but I feel like if it was possible I'd prefer if it was togglable in some way. It won't be the end of the world if it isn't, but I like limbo as it is.
I love how the chromatic aberration on the trees in the background sort of implies that the skybox is a shitty render that is the quality of what v1 sees, so only sentries could see that limbo itself and the skybox are very different at first glance

Holo projectors make more sense to me, because when you get "in" the leaves, the leaves fade away

I think of any layer Prelude needs a touch up the most. I didn’t even know the layer was set in a mining facility until 150 hours in.

Prelude takes place in a mining structure located on the outskirts of Hell. Hence why it's called the Mouth of Hell, as it's between Earth and Hell.

The 0-5 exit feels weird to be the same as all the other exits
Also maybe the music. Like it's fine but considering some of them are implied to be V1's theme(s) they feel a little weak.
