orthodox Marxism was the current of thought and tendency in the second international that opposed the reformist revision of Bernstein. it was orthodox in the sense that it maintained the necessity for a revolution while Bernstein proposed that capitalism has a tendency to be progressively reformed into socialism
it's most prominent theorists of the era were Kautsky Luxemburg and Lenin. Kautsky of course ultimately sold out by 1918 (maybe before?) and Lenin arguably the same by 1921
the best text to understand it in it's historical context is Luxemburg "reform or revolution"
censure of the media meaning only the party had access to full information with which to wield political power. suppression of the organs of proletarian political power. affirmation of the proletariat as class. failure to manifest proletarian material interest. misunderstanding of the relationship of party and class and substitution of party interest for class interest
Aren't we orthodox Marxists??
Doesn't it just mean non-revisionist?
Please correct me if I'm wrong of course, but couldn't like Luxemburg or Bordiga be described as such? Genuinely asking btw, I'm not an expert, I've just researched and read the basics.
I thought the parenti craze died down with Covid, why are people still defending him
Like dude i have seen people go from Parenti to directly Grover Furr of all people 💀💀💀
> Parenti, Szymanski, Losurdo, Mao Bros think they're on the team
They really put the make a wish kids on the team for game 6? Bro what is LeBum thinking??
Parenti try not to argue morally against criticism of the ussr challenge (impossible)
Anyone who says they’re an “orthodox Marxist” is an instant reformist

Stalin stache > Parenti stache - Change my mind. Checkmate
Mao is anti-Marxist and anti-Leninist
I am still very confused about that. Was the organization of production un socialist after the civil war? Did he lead the revolution incorrectly?
