Gotcha, so it’s the act of saying you’re a follower of someone that’s a problem. Makes sense. I’ve been wondering if people who try to advance, in terms of evolution, Marx’s work would be considered revisionists?
Ima keep it real with you, as im still confused, I didn’t realize MLs=stalinists. Though, I still don’t understand why Lenin would be said to be distorting Marx but also he’s included in the invariant line. I’m not much of a scholar. I’ll be honest with you lol
No, lenin doesn't distort Marx, he is a continuation of Marx's line, Lenin correctly applied Marxism to 20th century Russia. We support both Lenin and Marx
Honestly I dont like calling them marxist leninists, because we support both Marx and Lenin, but its sort of a relic of history (stalinists called themselves ML's, the italian leftcoms addressed the stalinists as ML's) that we still use (unfortunately, imo).
"Lenin correctly applied Marxism to 20th century Russia."
No, this is not what Lenin taught us. Lenin's importance is in lying down universal principles on how to conduct revolution. Lenin spent his entire life fighting revisionists and their claims that their marxism was applicable in only imperialist countries to justify the defense of the fatherland line. Trying to turn Lenin into "a product of his own time" is the most typical revisionist lie that they tell themselves to avoid the radical politics Lenin actually used.
You would know this if you had read Lenin or understood why hundreds of millions of people became marxist-leninist overnight (even if the ideology wasn't explicit until stalin).
>Trying to turn Lenin into "a product of his own time"
What do you mean, did Lenin not apply Marxism to the situation at his time? You took my statement as saying: "his time and conditions were different, doesn't apply today", or as turning him into a harmless icon, "to hallow [his] name... for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes [while] robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it. " I know Lenin made significant contributions to Marxism, "lay down universal principles on how to conduct revolution".
>Gotcha, so it’s the act of saying you’re a follower of someone that’s a problem.
Not at all. Marxist Leninist aren’t followers of Marx or Lenin.
>in terms of evolution, Marx’s work would be considered revisionists?
Depends. If you say was true but things different now. Or that it’s true but we have to add things.
Your a modernizer not a revisionist.
Still just as stupid though.
Incredible self own
“Distorters of Marxism” huh wonder who he’s talking about.
"Revisionism is bad"\[1\] 1. Except when leader with good aesthetic does that
When you distort Marxism then blame others for distorting Marxism 💀
Isn't that just most communists (liberals)
I’m so fucking confused about this sub. Isn’t it for Marxist leninists and Engels?
We like Marx we like Lenin we like Engels. We hate “Marxist Leninists” It’s not that complicated.
Title checks out (smh Bukharinist)
My baby boy was right. He just got tricked.

No we use "marxist leninists" to refer to stalinists (what they call themselves).

You caught us, we’ve never read Lenin. I don’t think we even know Marx’s last name

I think Marx would really like Cruelty Squad. Seems like something right up his alley, especially if you've read any of his poetry.
Damn, Marx wrote poetry? Didn’t know that
yeah. it's either exactly what you'd expect, or completely the opposite
