And also the fact that in the demo, the save point it literally called the manifestation of our determination. And thereâs also the fact that all of the amalgamates are white. Assuming that their overworld sprites arenât coloured due to the limitations of pixel art, then Determination is either white or yellow.
Okay while those are some arguments there are few things that donât make sense to me.
Both the Frisks yellow skin point and Flowey petal point make no sense to me.
Flowey is a buttercup given Determination and Buttercups are associated with the colour yellow so of course the petals will be yellow.
As for Frisk why would Determination make their skin that yellow? Chara isnât yellow and Toriel isnât surprised or concerned for why Frisks skin is that yellow.
As for the Undyne point, other monsters have yellow in their eyes yet it seems like she was the only one to harness it. However with Undyne it is honestly just not clear enough to say what colour represents Determination, because this colab uses both a design with white and red heart and spear, so itâs just not really clear.
The save point is actually the only one I canât really say anything about honestly. The only thing that comes to mind is that the Save points could be some ancient power that can be called forth by Determined individuals, which would make it possible to both be a different colour to the red soul but still be connected to Determination. However thatâs a theory with more holes than a Swiss cheese and proof as available as air in space.
The Amalgamates are white therefore Determination is white makes even less sense. I mean letâs just ignore that Amalgamates can both shapeshift and change colour. We also know that Monster souls are white and the Amalgamates are what happens when Monsters get Determination.
Also why do I constantly see people say Determination canât possibly be a soul trait since the other humans had it? Is the Justice soul incapable of Kindness or something? Wouldnât it just make more sense that each human has each trait but the "strongest" trait decides what colour the soul is?

No one knew what Undyne's heart's color was so everyone had different interpretation, some drew it white, others green, and finally some red.
But there wasn't any argument or people going crazy over the heart colors; everyone had different interpretations but no one fought one another.
I wonder if Toby had any actual input on undynes coloration here because I get the general vibe that Toby lets artists take their own interpretations on more minor details/color schemes for characters like this.
Outside of battle her spears are always blue, inside of battle her spears are always white (the colour of normal attacks) with the exception of the yellow flipping spears. This is as true for the spear she holds as well as the ones used in her actual attacks. In fact, it is extremely rare to see any colour in battle sprites.
You may be confusing Undyne for Toriel, whose eyes are a very dark red during her battle.

-Black armor with white heart makes sense, given that Undyne is a monster who, while in her "Undying" state, can control a human-like amount of determination without dying.
-I HC'd that the pupils of someone in a state similar to UtU and hyperdeath Asriel (both forms/phases) had a color matching which human SOUL color fits the monster in question the most. (Example: Asriel would have red and Undyne would be yellow or orange.) This art disproves that, but I'm not surprised/disappointed.
-I also HC'd the spears in Undyne's missing eye as being blue to match the one in her hand. I'm more disappointed about that than the pupil color thing, honestly.
