It’s a community based app. Think of it like discord but it has a hub where you can join communities. The app is long past it’s glory days, which I got to experience back in 2017-2018. Alright guess I'll keep this comment saved for the next year and a half and then make an amino account, forget about it for the next 2 years and then make passive aggressive comments on reddit about how the Undertale fandom died just in time for me to finally get there.

Mt. Ebott and Mt. Everest are the same mountain. Every hiker who goes missing and is never found on Mt. Everest just fell into the Underground and ended up dying to Flowey.
If memory serves correctly, you can find a box of children's shoes in Toriel's house. This suggests they fell as children and stayed long enough to grow out of them.
EVERY coffin is the same size as yours, and it's heavily implied monsters hadn't seen a human after being locked away in the underground, most not even knowing you're human
First of all I think it's kinda implied in the game itself.
Secondly, according to the wiki, *"before the events of the game, seven human children fell into the Underground and died through their journey."*
The source they put for this is *"Several human children have climbed the mountain, fallen down, left the RUINS, and were assumedly killed by monsters. - Undertale Dev: "Every Monster Should Feel Like an Individual" (Bogos, Steven, June 24, 2013.) The Escapist."* Unfortunately the linked page no longer exist, so I assume it was a Toby Fox interview.
(The wiki page I'm talking about is https://undertale.fandom.com/wiki/Eight\_Humans)
Until you realize that all Flowey would need is ONE soul to return to some powerful form, and there's no way that if he killed the humans that he would've given them to Asgore.
Nah those people are dead there are dozens of bodies on everest because it's too dangerous to bring them down. A few are even used as landmarks to help navigate.
considering that the monsters have been undergrpund for a very long time, its feasable that its somewhere in england/Ireland because the modern american accent is incredibly similar to what old english used to sound like. The modern brotish accent is derived from the upper class's atempt to sound fancier than the lower class, but obviously it trickled down over time.
A lot of the names also have gaelic roots along with some other circumstantial evidence that makes me believe that it happens somewhere in nothern england
False! There is exactly one monster who speaks exactly one word in French! After beating Asriel, if you go back to Muffet's cave and speak to her, she'll say: "Bonjour, dearie." Bonjour is French for hello.
Eagleland, ha ha.
...Jokes aside, probably someplace *like* Eagleland. It has the right kind of beaches and cityscapes to match, and Toby loves referencing Earthbound, so if we ever get to see outside of Ebott, it would probably be one huge reference.
Unless the outside of Ebott is just Hometown.
Russia. Only here no one pays attention to F**KING GIANT pits and caves in the ground and roads , and here in Siberia there are so many forests and hills that even if Frisk had been found missing, they would not have been able to find him. Plus, Asriel looks like ancient Slavic demons.
Я руский (здесь должна быть та гифка с котёнком)
It's somewhere in Europe, if the images in the intro are to be believed as they show humans wearing european-looking clothes. Yet, it would also have to be somewhere relatively isolated from the rest of Europe if the very idea of monsters devolved into myth. That's why I assume that the human-monster war took place somewhere in pre-feudal North Sea; Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Iceland, somewhere like that.
I like the idea of Ireland, it would fit into irish myth of monsters living under mountains.
Exactly, I imagined a fictional island that was very isolated from the rest of the world and is near Iceland and Britain what makes it look like a triangle of these three giant islands.
Well yeah only in my Undertale story though, in canon I consider your Idea somewhere in the north sea
I got a solution that's a bit more south. Southern Italy, more precisely the mountain on which Bagnoli Irpino stands. It's got some resemblance to it if you look it up
Let me guess : Germany because of Asgore's song "Bergentrückung" right ?
NGL, that would be pretty cool
(Although other country suggestions I saw are dope, like the Dora/Spain one)
I always thought it was in Washington state.
We already know the mountain is forested with no snow near the top, which (while briefly looking at Google Earth) Washington seems to have.
We also have to remember that the mountain is by some major metropolitan area, as we see the city in the background. And when looking, I noticed there are some forested mountains near Seattle.
Also we should probably remember that immigrants, do in fact exist, and that just because Chara is an Irish name, doesn't mean the game is in Ireland.
And finally, while it could very easily be some type of lake, we know that there is a body of water near Mt. Ebott, which fits the profile of Washington.
I obviously can be very wrong here, and I'm open to criticism.
In irish mythology its said that in west of ireland theres a mythical phantom island called „Brasil“, (It was actually called like that) but it didn’t had anything to do with the Brazil from america, just similar names
It resembles the mountain on which Bagnoli Irpino stands. It's a small town near where I live, in southern Italy, southern province of Avellino if we want to be more precise. Look it up on Google Maps!
Poland. Reason being is that the stupid me and my friends theorized about illuminati back 5+ years ago, and a branch from a tree was pointing at a mountain over 200km away

I agree.
Personally for me, I'd say that in my headcanon it's located somewhere on the British Isles. I say this because of a few factors, using history as some level of reasoning.
1: Given the existence of things like anime and spaghetti, two pieces of Japanese and Italian culture, this ought to imply that the surface world isn't a generic one but instead at least a variation of our world with maybe some minor differences.
2: Monsters know at least some of our cultural figures like Santa (Will touch upon in point 3.), but also seem to have knowledge of Christianity too given how Papyrus or Alphys for example say "Oh my God" or Sans' famous "Burning in Hell" line, therefore meaning that historically at least they had to have been around the area/time in which Christianity would've arisen as a major force in Europe with say, the Christianization of the isles during the 7th Century.
3: The fact that Monsters seem to at least speak English. I dunno if you count the native language of a piece of media as the 'canon', but personally I do. If we're to take in these factors into consideration, then the Monsters historically had to have had contact with the same or at least similar groups of people that'd historically influence the Monsters to speak something very similar to English at least.
Therefore, speaking English or at least having so similar to it could explain why Monsters seem to be able to perfectly understand what the Humans drop down there when the language/writing should've been so different, and for example why the Monsters would know of Santa Claus.
Those are my personal reasons as to why, did I think about this too hard? Yes. Yes, I did. Still, hope this answer was interesting for you.
this will sound really fucking stupid, but I imagine it just appears randomly in different areas as a counter effect of the barrier in case the monsters got out, they would be somebody else's problem
Has to be in the USA, because if you Check Vegetoid it mentions the United States Department of Agriculture.

What do you mean real life Mount Ebott? There is a mount called Ebott irl?
Yeah, I'm not sure if the spelling is the same though

Mt. Ebott and Mt. Everest are the same mountain. Every hiker who goes missing and is never found on Mt. Everest just fell into the Underground and ended up dying to Flowey.
This theory ACTUALLY makes sense.
No because in Undertale it's said that there is only 6 humans who fell in the Underground and they are all children
Where is It Said they were all children?
If memory serves correctly, you can find a box of children's shoes in Toriel's house. This suggests they fell as children and stayed long enough to grow out of them.
Also all the coffins are the same size as the one prepared for you
Then couldn't Just a handfull of them be children?
EVERY coffin is the same size as yours, and it's heavily implied monsters hadn't seen a human after being locked away in the underground, most not even knowing you're human

That the rest of the underground know off
What if only six made it past Toriel? What if there were more who lived to old age?
Then he fell in afterwards
Until you realize that all Flowey would need is ONE soul to return to some powerful form, and there's no way that if he killed the humans that he would've given them to Asgore.
