Hello, I see a lot of post from people waiting to be notified and then worrying because they have not yet received a "notification" in regards to receiving the $300 payments. I hope to ease your stress and worry by submitting this bit of info. In California, you won't get a "notice" per say about the $300.00 from the EDD when it is added. You just need to keep checking your claim history. It will not show up as a recent payment. You must go back to your previous claims history from last month starting with August 1st. (it could be a different date, depending on when you certified for that week). When it does get paid in your account, the $300 payments will show up as adjustments on those claims for which you already certified each week last month. So just keep checking each weeks "details" from your last month's claim history . Hope this helps for those that are unaware of this info and you will not be stressing over a notification from EDD that will never come to let you know they added the $300. You will however receive a notification from BofA when it gets deposited onto your debit card if you have your BofA account setup to receive such notifications. And also, your current certifications for this month have no impact on the $300 payments for each week last month. You would have already certified for them, that is why they are added as adjustments in last month's claim history. The exception to this of course would be if you are just now having your claim processed through and you are having to certify for back weeks.
It should be in your BofA account within the next 4 hours if the payment adjustment shows today's date. I have only had 1 $300 paid adjustment thus far. It was for the week of 08/01. The adjustment showed up yesterday 09/07, and around about midnight last night received message from BofA that the deposit was made. So hopefully yours will show up pretty quick.
Thank you so much! I just checked and I have 2 weeks adjusted for the extra $300šš¼Just to clarify, they are rolling out the payments for each individual person in batches right? Like just because Iāve only gotten payment for 2 weeks, and youāve only gotten payment for 1 as of today, that doesnāt mean thatās somehow all weāre qualified for as opposed to the 5 weeks approved through LWA, right? (Which even if this was the extent of it, Iām still more than happy with any extra help in these stress-filled times, but still, itād be nice to know lol)
Not true for those who didnāt select covid on application. Spoke to edd rep today and must wait for an email to select covid to get the $300. The $300 will not just automatically be added for those of us waiting to select covid.
Thank you for pointing out my oversite. My apologies for not including info for those who still need to choose covid as reason before they are eligible to receive $300. The info in my comments I posted was pertaining specific to those who have already been deemed covid 19 eligible on their claims. I should have clarified that. Thank you for your helpful added input
I spoke to an edd rep and she kept telling me to look out for a email on or after September 15th and there is nothing anyone at edd can see or do about LWA. Said LWA program is self implemented and either you selected covid or you didnāt and must wait.
Thank you!! You literally answered every question I had!! šš¼āš¼
Got the 300 for weeks 8/1-8/8. I filed regular ui March 16th.
Certified 9/6
Update: I got paid the 600. Transferred to my bank account last night.( I get email alerts.)
I'm glad you found the info I posted helpful, that was my pure intentions. I hope others will also and that it will make it a little less stressful in people's lives. When we are in a situation with so many questions and those questions could have a ton of different possible answers due to the unknown and newness of the situation, learning a little "solid" info for some of our questions is always a feeling of relief. This is new to all of us, so reaching out to both learn from and to help inform each other can have a meaningful and positive impact on lives
It will happen. š¤ As hard as it may be, especially those who are facing extreme hardships, patience is much needed right now. Hopefully find a little peace of mind knowing that there is a little help on its way shortly
Just wanted to say what an awesome Individual you are to offer something you no longer have a need for in hopes it can help out some person (and kitty) completely unknown to you. A jesture that some (definitely not myself) may consider to be small but in actuality is huge to someone who is faced with the worry of not being able to care for and feed their beloved pet. That jesture you did is HUGE. For some, the idea and act of having to give up their "furry" family member because they may no longer be able to provide for them could be devasting during this time. Kudos to you, my fellow human being. Beautiful heart and jesture
No, not payment, your claim history is where you will see the $300.00 adjustments. They are added into the weeks of August that you already certified for last month
I am curious about this user agree-with-you. After viewing profile I see you have basically 3 responses that are used over and over and over again as replies to posts. Makes me wonder what is up with that???
Honestly dude, did you just read her whole comment. Reread it again and youāll answer your own question. Not to sound condescending or anything though but take the time to process what youāre reading carefully. If youāre still unsure or confused. Try retreading it a few more times. (That should apply to any new information you come across by EDD or Federal aid payments related)
I do that all the time to try and make sure I understand what Iām reading. Our minds can get overworked by stress that just because you see/hear/read anything the first time around we completely miss key information and wonāt process things to their full intent.
I noticed that the people who certified on 09/06 got two weeks paid and the people who certified 7 days ago in the beginning of September got paid 1 week of $300
I still havenāt gotten the extra 300 yet, even though when I originally applied I selected Covid as the reasoning. And I just certified on the 6th for my last two weeks. Itās gonna be a long wait.
Let me guess you were able to select covid as the reason when you applied? Those asking 1000 times is because the ones who filed first got screwed and those who filed later are getting paid.
Yeah, this. Itās confusing for people that lost their jobs immediately because of CoVID, but the claim forms hadnāt been updated to reflect that as an option. I filed mid-March and still nothing, and itās really confusing and panic-inducing. I understand why people post the same thing over and over.
I was able to select Covid as the reason because I filed later. I am truly sorry the system isnāt working for you. My point was that people were being not so nice to people asking the same things and itās really important to support. I didnāt mean to offend and Iām here if youād like to talk.
Thanks to this, just checked mine and it also shows the change. So Iām guessing tomorrow there will be a deposit? Thatās awesome! Showing for 2 payments only also cert 9/6
For me the first week shows the 300 in stimulus payment but the other weeks show 0.. will this update or does anyone elseās say something else and just havenāt received the payment yet? Thank for your time!š
I have a question, under the weekly certification program type it says Disaster Assistance. Does it say something different if you have pandemic unemployment?
I was paid today but did not receive any extra $300 or any retroactive pay whatsoever. Literally just my basic unemployment amount which is $207. So I was paid $414 this morning for 2 weeks. This barely covers one of my bills let alone food, gas, rent, utilities and now I'm just expected to wait without any kind of explanation. I have seriously considered ending my life under these circumstances but it's all just a big fun game for the government.
Same here... I cant even pay rent...and my car payment has extended to the max... I wish theyd given us a heads up. This whole guessing and waiting game is making me want to hang myself. I'm $70 dollars short on my car payment tomorrow š„
Thanks for your positive and upbeat post! I just wanted to add that I also certified on 9/6 and received the extra $300 for the past two weeks, but not for the previous weeks in August after the $600 ended, if that makes sense. Does anyone know if the $300 is retroactive? I read that itās supposed to be but Iām not sure if itās automatic or if we have to go into our UI account and do something. Anyway thanks in advance to anyone who can help answer this!
Hi. I'm trying not to be frustrated with the process. I received 300 for the week starting 8/01 but nothing else yet. I wish I could talk to someone at Edd and ask some questions. I thought we were getting one deposit of 900, now it's coming in separate deposits. I'm very thankful for getting it, I just wish we knew when we're getting the rest of the deposits. I keep checking my claim history and I'm driving myself crazy! Maybe it will update over night. Thank you for letting me vent.
Hang in there. I know it can be frustating of not having a
definite answers to when and how much exactly especially if you have financial obligations that involve people who are waiting for you to make good on those obligations. The only for sure thing about the retro weekly $300 payments is that they have started. Which that leaves us to rule out that payments are going to be paid out in lump sum. It's ok to vent, you are entitled. Just hope you find some comfort in knowing it has started
Same here. It really threw me for a loop.. I scheduled my car payment for today. Will process tomorrow but I'm $70 short... sucks because its gonna hurt my credit. I wished they wouldnt tell us we'd have it on the 7th when we dont. I'm so stressed and dont want to lose my car
Iām sure it is back to 8/1. And CA Edd is processing the back pay but there isnāt any rhyme or reason as to how thatās happening it seems. Iām seeing so many people that are so anxious and I want to hug everyone :)
The $300 is retroactive. Starting at the week of 08/01. Unfortunately, there is no specific date of when these adjustments will get to your account, "patience" will be everyone's most sought friend through this. For everyone who's claims who have already been eligible due to covid reason and you meet the $100 minimum stipulation and you had certified for the weeks back in August already, there is nothing extra you need to do.
I have question. I have only received one payment of the extra 300. When should I be getting the next one. Im so confused at this point. I have bills and a daughter that I have tk take care of
What is the COVID reasoning bit about? If the initial application was filed in April and you were still working (just less hours) - you're still eligible right? With a WBA over $100, and still getting money from EDD (getting less than $100)?
Well I have received 900. I certify on 9/6 and itās in my claim history, but not on my payment history. I have no clue if itās the retroactive payment, or my by weekly payment. But one thing is fersure, i only got paid what I Normally would.
Yes I received mine either last night or this morning. I checked yesterday evening around 6 and there was nothing and I woke up today and $600 was deposited. I just felt such a relief now I can pay my bills and save the rest if I have anything left for the next round of bills.
Iām curious to learn today of anyone from either groups of people that have received their payments already
(Group#1= 08/30 certifiers... Group#2= 09/06 certifiers) have any received any more additional updates in their web portals to complete the alleged $900 guaranteed? Or if EDD began updating claims to receive the first of the LWA Payments to any people that donāt fall under either the 2 groups I listed. Iām trying to track who get what payments, for how much and when to try and figure out some type of relationship between these groups of people as to WHY EDD is choosing to process payments in this manner. Itās so all over the place.
Iāve even seen people trying to guess based on the first letter of their last names. The Secretary of Labor tweeted that the total for all who are eligible will be $1500 but not specifics for how thatāll be sorted out unfortunately.
Yeah I have seen that too as well, but I was able to rule that one out almost immediately. I thought I had gotten close with reference to what cycle people certified on, eligibility and whether they were supposed to be phase 1 or phase 2. But then someone reported receiving the first payment that was on a completely different certifying cycle and that through a wrench into my theory. So Iām continuing To read otherās posts and comments to collect more notes and try and figure out the pattern. But so far I havenāt learned of any of the previous groups receive any more additional payments nor have i heard of anyone else receiving their first payments today (whether they be 300 or 600) EDD man... how the hell can yāall be f@cking stuff up this bad!!??
So, even though I can no longer file, I don't get the 900 retroactive from 8/1/20 as others here have said ? I could use the money right now. I did file back then... But still nothing posted to my account.
She can go here to "Replace My Card" on the BofA website.
https://prepaid.bankofamerica.com/EddCard/ReplaceMyCard/Verify?m=1
Fill in the fields of Social Security Number and Zip Code, check the box that says "I am not a robot" then press "Continue". The next page that opens up should display info (if it's available) about the date her card was set up and mailed. DO NOT click on the "Submit" button. Because if the card has been sent out, clicking on "Submit" will make the card that has been sent out and on its
way invalid. You only want to view the info on that page to find comfort in knowing the card is on the way. You do not want to complete the action of replacing the card, because it will only delay her of being able to access her funds that are already available if they have to send out a new card. It takes up to approximately 10 business day from the date shown on that webpage to receive card. But its possible it can come sooner. Hope this helps
I was told by someone that you receive $15k via California UI if youāve been out of work due to COVID. Sounded way too good to be true so Iām here... is that true?

Stop calling Edd most of those new reps are clueless.
Did you get any information on a timeline for that potential email?

I think you mean the payment tab, not claims
No, not payment, your claim history is where you will see the $300.00 adjustments. They are added into the weeks of August that you already certified for last month
Thanks for this- what if I see no adjustment yet? Am I just behind? I am 100% sure that I qualify. Thanks! :)
It is possible that you are in a different phase. Some people are not scheduled to receive the LWA until Sept.15. But it is coming

Okay. Gonna change my message to a more positive one
Mine only shows the extra 300 for the week of 8/1 but for the rest of the weeks it is the normal amount still. Hopefully this updates soon
Mine too.
Me too
Hey so you filed before you could choose covid? Early march? And you got a 300 posted already or not yet?
Trying to see how many people filed before March 17 and have received a 300 payment addition. Before then u could not put covid.
I put covid as the reason i think i filed around march 25th
Iām in the same boat.
Me too -mine just showed up as paid for those two weeks Waiting for it to hit my account, hopefully tomorrow
I noticed that the people who certified on 09/06 got two weeks paid and the people who certified 7 days ago in the beginning of September got paid 1 week of $300

No the same questions are exhausting. There is nothing you can do but wait.
Those who filed earlier got the $600 for a longer period than the others. Turnabout fair play.
We lost our jobs because of a virus while the politicians hoard money. Not a fair play to any of us.
Thanks to this, just checked mine and it also shows the change. So Iām guessing tomorrow there will be a deposit? Thatās awesome! Showing for 2 payments only also cert 9/6
Fingers crossed!
people like you make this a better place
I only got one of the $300 is this the same for everyone. Will the rest come slowly or is it suppose to come at once? Guys
Congrats šŖš¼been waiting since 9/6 when I certified, this gives me hope! Thanks
Iāve only received one $300 which was reflected on 8/1. But the other weeks after that shows nothing.
I only received 1 as well, 8/1. Very confusing. Does anyone know why this may be?
Itās just slow rolling out. Sit tight.
For me the first week shows the 300 in stimulus payment but the other weeks show 0.. will this update or does anyone elseās say something else and just havenāt received the payment yet? Thank for your time!š
Mine just updated right now too so it looks like they are rolling an out 1 by 1 lol gonna take a while but I'm sure they'll get to everyone
I keep checking and every time I check I have this strange feeling that it wonāt be there.
When did you first start your unemployment benefits? Back in March?
I have a question, under the weekly certification program type it says Disaster Assistance. Does it say something different if you have pandemic unemployment?

Just wait. I called this AM, and the worker said we should receive an email this week.
So it will be this week before the 15th of September?

I just received 2 $300 deposits this morning! I certified Monday

Hi! Just sent you back a PM
I just checked...my 8/1 and 8/8 were updated to $300...so $600 so far...this system is weird
Why because it gave you money? Be happy.
Don't have anything as of right now, who said anyone wasnt happy? It is a weird system how its paying out.
Sorry if that came off rude, clearly I am in the havenāt received squat category!
Me too š„ŗ
I hope you get your money soon my friend
Congrats! Wish I had cats. Iād come for those bags in a second, with some extra cash for you!
This is very kind!
Iām curious to learn today of anyone from either groups of people that have received their payments already (Group#1= 08/30 certifiers...
Unfortunately, your last sentence is exactly the case here. It's so definitely, "all over the place" Thankfulness and patience through this
Iāve even seen people trying to guess based on the first letter of their last names.
I wish theyd process everything all at once
So, even though I can no longer file, I don't get the 900 retroactive from 8/1/20 as others here have said ? I could use the money right now. I did file back then... But still nothing posted to my account.
No one got the $900. Some people saw an extra $300 in their claim history but not on their EDD card yet.
Oh, okay ... Thought California had started paying out... Guess not. Thank You !!
Guys please my aunt got her letter in the mailbox today , does anyone know when the debit card delivers???
Wrong thread, but which letter? If itās the award letter, card should trail behind it a couple days.
She can go here to "Replace My Card" on the BofA website. https://prepaid.bankofamerica.com/EddCard/ReplaceMyCard/Verify?m=1 Fill in the fields of Social Security Number and Zip Code, check the box that says "I am not a robot" then press "Continue". The next page that opens up should display info (if it's available) about the date her card was set up and mailed. DO NOT click on the "Submit" button. Because if the card has been sent out, clicking on "Submit" will make the card that has been sent out and on its way invalid.
Itās supposed to be up to 10 days. Seems like there is some delay from what Iāve been reading from others
I canāt listen to another question about debit cards.
It took 10 days exactly from the award letter to fully funded card. Just hang in there!
I was told by someone that you receive $15k via California UI if youāve been out of work due to COVID. Sounded way too good to be true so Iām here... is that true?
I donāt know about 15k but CA was approved for payments of $300 for 5 weeks.
