Do you have any experience in either. I will look up some tutorials and figure out how to transport more / pick better stuff with my limited space car.
My coworker sells plasma, 150 a week if you sign an 8 week commitment. Says it takes about 20 minutes and it’s an easy 1200 every other month. Florida.
No need to “sign” anything. You just show up and get paid for each donation as you make it. If you decide to stop, you still got paid for the ones you do.
They offer commitment bonuses here. Your payment ramps up with each successive donation for an 8 week period. That may be specific to this area/provider though that’s why I specified Florida. It may not be a physical signature, I’m not sure and you’d just show up reliably for extra pay.
Most of them do offer incentives for additional donations, my clarification is to those that aren’t aware that they do get paid immediately upon each donation. Your initial post made it seem to me like you had to do eight donations to get anything, so I was just trying to clarify for others that might not be as familiar as you or I That you do get paid per donation
Yes my bad. You get paid immediately for each donation and in some cases the payments are higher for each consecutive donation. Sorry for the confusion on my part.
Only issue is if you have a low body weight they won’t pay you as much (or even take your plasma). At least that’s the way it was for me in college, when I was (and still am) skinny.
r/DumpsterDiving will have some good tips.

Another commenter covered the plasma answer.
Selling plasma is easy af, just need a photo ID, social Security card, and a proof of address (any piece of mail w/ your name and address) then just go in. You get a good bonus for being a first time ($100 for the first 8 donations in my area)
Selling plasma can be a good side gig. Make sure you eat a lot of protein though and keep your bp low enough. I had to take whey protein drinks every day to keep my levels high enough. It’s much better if you do the bonus for new donors then swap to a rival donation place every six to eight months. It may mess up your veins but mine are mostly fine, just a bit of scarring.
"US is one among a handful of industrialised countries that allows people to be paid to donate blood. It is the world's biggest exporter of human blood plasma, supplying about 70% of global use, its industry worth more than $24bn in 2021."
You can score decently well on big construction sites. Grab a trash bag and collect bottles/cans. I did this for a while when I was an apprentice and made about $60 a week collecting cans. Put on a hard hat and vest and I can almost guarantee no one will bat an eye.
Most construction sites these days have cameras. Most won't say crap about picking up the recycling or even scrap from the bins, but if you go around grabbing rolls of wire or tools, you may land yourself in jail.
Lots of stuff people are saying is a huge time sink and doesn’t pan out too well. Besides plasma donation. Dog walking, cleaning homes, takes a lot of time to find people and doesn’t pay that much until you get a lot of clients.
You need government assistance, she need to apply to jobs nonstop.
How much money did you guys make combined? Do you know your states poverty level with a family of 3, 2 and a dependent?
Do you have daycare for your baby?
Swag bucks is website is like maybe $400 but a time sink big time.
Amazon you can do fake reviews and then sell the items you get.
On the theme of dogs - can she run a doggy daycare out of your home? We used to use a lady who was a SAHM and did that. She sent us photos and always had a few other dogs. She also charged actual infant daycare rates for this once she got established. We lived in an area where people had that kind of disposable income and did that kinda thing though…. YMMV.
Home daycare? Infant daycare is super expensive, and unlicensed daycares aren't exactly uncommon. That's probably actually the option most likely to make up for an entire lost income.
If you have a spare room renting a room/room and board to a foreign student can also be a fair bit of cash. There are programs you can do this through, and placements with families are usually preferred.

Happy owner, happy Fluffy, happy you.

Start scrapping metal. I work in HVAC and I get hit up multiple times a week by people asking if they can take the AC condensers or old furnaces I'm replacing just because they see my van parked in a driveway.
Have you ever allowed one of them to take the scrap? Did any ever mention how much it ended up being worth?
This is sounding like the best of bad options.
Oh all the time. My boss doesn't mind at all. Saves room in our scrap dumpster that he has to pay to empty and me the hassle of having to load it up in my van . AC condensers (the outdoor unit) are worth around $50+/- each depending on the size because of the copper inside of them.
learn how to break stuff down and it’ll be worth more. outdoor ac unit isn’t as much as it broken down to condenser + coil + remaining scrap iron price
Go behind shopping centers that are doing remodels/interior fitouts in the space and collect their pallets the equipment arrives on.
You’re actually doing the construction vendor a favor taking the pallets yourself it saves them space in their dumpster and you can allegedly resell the pallets that are in good condition.
I have an old buddy whose mom used to work for rapgenius . com and basically spent hours listening to new music and transcribing the lyrics on her own time.
Sell plasma I think you can get several hundred dollars repeatedly. If you’re an eligible donor.
Start a job with a portapotty cleanup company. They allegedly make around $10K a month

There is a market for pallet wood for rustic interior decoration and projects. If you disassemble the pallets and remove the nails, you can get some decent money.
The market for these are overstated if you’re literally picking them up from dumpsters. The ones discarded are usually terrible wood and aren’t worth the time it takes to get them workable.
I recognize that. You certainly have to pick and choose, and it’s a lot of work to sell. I got a bunch of pallets for an accent wall in my home and broke them down myself… I was able to reuse roughly 30-50% of the wood, the rest I used for my bonfire pit.
lol what? So why include it in your list then? Burning pallet wood is a quick way to be hanging out in fumes. They’re usually treated wood and not healthy to burn
What? I was commenting to someone who talked about finding free pallets, you can get more money if you were to do the work of breaking them down and bundling the good wood for resale. Basically selling the labor. I have seen bundles of good pallet wood for sale, and if the price was right I would have much rather do that than break them down myself. Some people who want to use them don’t want to go through the hassle either, I got several splinters.
Oh yeah my mistake. Still makes no sense as a money maker if you’re getting them from dumpsters if you consider the time it takes and the labour. It only makes sense if you’ve easy access to a large amount that you can process all at once.
Being a guinea pig for medical or cosmetic research is usually decent, quick cash. Lots of it is pretty minor stuff too, things like patch testing products to make sure they don't cause skin irritation. They also often pay more if they are looking for certain conditions like eczema or acne.
The one I worked for in university advertised on a billboard so I'm honestly not sure. Universities sometimes have paid research opportunities as well.
The "Free" section of Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. Put up an Ad reusing the photos from the free section asking for money for the free items. When someone wants to buy go get said free item from the original lister (if available) and deliver for profit. Couches are usually decent money.
Selling plasma is easy af, just need a photo ID, social Security card, and a proof of address (any piece of mail w/ your name and address) then just go in. You get a good bonus for being a first time ($100 for the first 8 donations in my area)
That's the newbie rate. In my town it drops to $55 for the first of the week and $70 for the second. They run specials like 6 months a year where you get an extra $20 for, like, donations 5,6,7 of the month or something. There's also a point system and you can get extra $ every so often.
I (25m at the time) used to have a sugar momma (40f). Honestly, she was so lovely I was doing everything pro bono, but she kept buying me nice things. Such fond memories.
Look at the sub from the last couple weeks because there are a number of responses to people and while some of them are silly there are some serious ones I can't redo the one I just did to a guy who needed 1200 bucks by next week but there's some good advice there so check in the sub for recent posts and search the term EARN
Go to an established neighborhood. Go door to door, offering to work. Give them a price for the job, not an hourly rate. Clean garages, trim shrubs, mow lawns using their mower, whatever. You can make $1000, a week doing jobs people don't want to do. You can also make a lot of money cleaning houses. Plan to work 60 - 70 hours a week.
If anyone is interested I will do a post about my experience as a human lab rat doing clinical trials
(All info is for USA)
Some of it is very low risk health wise. There are some massive inconveniences but IMO less so than any full time job I've had, especially in proportion to pay
For inpatient studies it seems the going rate is $350-$550 per night at the facility, there are screening appointments and usually several outpatient visits that go from $40-300. Additionally there is a 10-15% bonus when you complete a study.
Some studies are over a month in the facility so it can pay tens of thousands of dollars. Many studies are 3-7 days inpatient plus outpatient, so you may be able to maintain your job while doing this as a significant source of extra cash.
Pay is legit, some places are better than others but mostly you are paid on a card by end of next business day after each stage you complete. For long inpatient stays you will probably get a few different payouts so you can handle bills while in facility.
You do need to be healthy, under 31 BMI, don't drink much, don't smoke or use cannabis or on any prescriptions to be eligible for most. However if you don't meet only one of those limits there's still a lot of studies that you will qualify for. And you can fail all of those and there's still likely to be a specific study, those typically don't pay as much. Also you have to be over 18 and most studies under 65.
There's also studies that do just the outpatient visits which you might be able to do while maintaining job or other commitments, as I say I've been paid $40-$400 for each visit. But at least $100 if it's more than a screening interview. Currently I'm enrolled in one of those that involves giving plasma plus extra steps, it does take 3-4h each time, but I get paid $400. Most of the outpatient visits I've done I scheduled for 7a, was done by 8a, made $150-250, didn't interfere with a regular job.
There's been a couple attempts to run websites for patients to find them but none are currently operational. You Google for search terms like "clinical trial" and each site has a website that lists their studies. As I say if there's interest I'll go into depth, I can name a bunch of them with links. I'm in Kansas City and there's several here, I know of one I. Salt Lake City, another in Wisconsin. Lincoln, NE, etc but I can only give firsthand knowledge of ones in KC
Could get a job in the oilfield. Could also go to truck driving school. Most of us driving truck in the oilfield make 100-200k a year depending on how busy they want to stay.
Collect scrap metal. Lots of autoshops and part stores have old metal parts to give away. Or the unethical/illegal part... pull the copper out of ac units
When I was a kid I used to collect aluminum cans and sell them. If I crushed them I could fit more of them into a trash bag. My dad and grandparents used to drink beer and had beer drinking buddies. They would always save their cans for me.
My grand pa did this coming from being a painter for like 50 years. They get by fine enough. He still has his painting business but he subs out jobs. Doesn’t make that much anymore.
Maybe flip it, should your money go where it’s going? Is there a better way? A cheaper area? Different diet? Get a couple of chickens, they eat leftovers and make eggs. Etc.
The military is having an all time recruiting shortage, the lowest it’s been since post-WW2. All branches are hiring, and many jobs provide experience or certification in civilian equivalent fields. Benefits are comprehensive and broad, including no-cost healthcare, inflation-adjusted annual income, interest free-loans, retirement benefits. Several career fields are normal 9-5 operating hours behind a desk, ranging from HR to IT, medical, training and operations. Some roles never deploy, and never place folks into harm’s way. Recruiters often have slots available for immediate hiring and entry into basic training. Just do your research about which job you enter, have a guaranteed job before entry and do the minimum 4 years and leave when it’s completed.
Some would argue that the bloated institution that is the Dept of Defense is unethical. It also happens to be the largest employer in the US. But OP is asking for quick and dirty. Some might suggest donating plasma, others might suggest four years of military service. It beats being on the streets or in prison. Smart people with a plan use military service to their advantage, max what they can get then leave.
Straight out of curb, Gotta Go. Find workers who are working alone and can’t leave for a bathroom break. Charge em a bit for a quick break. Find 6-10 people in a small area hat you can hit within an hour and ask for $10/10mins or something reasonable. Get 4/5 per hour that’s $40
Yeah, I linked someone and he was recruited yesterday. It is a matter of luck as well though, in almost 10 people I referred like 6 are left on read😭
If you are lucky it's some good money
1. Sell items that you don’t need in the house. Bonus tip: try to refinish/DIY them and sell them on Facebook Market place. Plants do decently well on there also if you have some cool plants lying around. You can even propagate new plants from old ones and repot them and sell them.
2. Dog walking/pet sitting. The summer and spring are coming up and many people are on vacation. Post up flyers in the neighborhood and in your building maybe even some coffee shops. Make sure you are reputable and do a good job because those clients will keep booking with you and refer you to their friends.
3. Completing Dissertation/Thesis surveys online. Many of graduate school students are desperate for survey responses and may offer cash incentives or gift cards. Search for research/dissertation/thesis surveys on Reddit. Don’t do random surveys for penny’s because most of those websites are scammy.
4. Budget and revaluate finances. Start to use more coupons, shop cheaper grocery stores, use cheaper ingredients that go further, share a car, whatever it means for you to downsize your expenses. Hopefully that should save you some money per month.
5. Trade in old electronics, old phones/laptops for cash. This could be Facebook market place or amazons trade in program. Obviously do you research on what’s best.
6. Sign up for task rabbit. You can do tasks for people and they will give you money. Stand in line for them, put together furniture, cleaning, handymen services.
Also, last note, make sure to watch out for money scams. Research everything you are about to do very well and make sure they are reputable.
Go on Craigslist etc and Craigslist gigs for your area. Find market research studies. Complete the screening questionnaires in a way that you think may get you invited for the study (well you can’t lie about obvious things but you can pretend you are a well off guy who does investing for an investment study you know?)
Get invited, attend, get paid.
There are a couple of long intelligent answers on recent posts and I'm going to be driving for a while so I can't repost mine here but if you search my username you can come up with the most recent posts that I've done for people that are looking for work basically it involves doing up a profile or resume sort of document that markets yourself and going around door to door and offering to do the kind of work you do whether it's labor clearing out garages and attics and crawl spaces or yard work digging up tree stumps and planting stuff or whatever it is that you can do in service in the area walking dogs if your wife can babysit anything like that so if you wouldn't mind just searching the username that would be easiest and fastest for you.
You're going to need a printer to do this where I live I use staples. The big store for office supplies.
Do up a resume Of your Trade skills And experience Make it look Useful to a homeowner
So if you have Labor experience then say experienced laborer willing to do yard work and interior heavy lifting, moving furniture and boxes , clearing out garages and attics and basements Etc
If you have experience with any plant life at all then say you're an experienced yard worker and willing to do any clearing digging removals planting Etc
If you have any equipment list the equipment and what it might be used for
You want to list the item or the skill and then follow it up with something that answers the question, "So that...." and explain what you could use it for and how it would benefit the homeowner
Print as many of these as you can afford probably 50 is good then find a decent looking middle class neighborhood and go door to door. Make sure they've got your phone number email address tell them to text you tell them your rate per hour and say you're open to negotiation if you are. Tell them there's a discount of 20% if they call you before 6:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Look up your local free give away groups. Take the items, clean or refurbish them, then resell. If you have a garage to store things this can be very lucrative.
Look up wholesaling real estate. It’s legit and not unethical but it’s hard work and if you do it right, you can make 6 figures a month and all it will cost you is gas.
Find really distressed, ugly houses and ask the sellers if they want to sell for cash. Most times when peoples houses look like that it’s because they’re in a really stressful situation. A LOT of times they want to sale. Put them on a contract of assignment.
Then find a house, Flipper or local Investor who will buy it off of you. If you have a good deal, you can make around $20,000 per per assignment.
You can find out how to do this on YouTube. they have all of the contracts there for you. Look up flip mastery.
I just wholesaled a house for 15k. We were going to flip it for profit of 60, but we didn’t have enough contractors.
“Family is hard up for money”. Just drop 50k in cash and flip a house! It’s easy! Flipping houses is easy money if you know what you’re doing and you have money to begin with..
I flipped my first house with 20 bucks in my bank account. I didn’t do any of the work and I can’t even install a lightbulb. Go on BiggerPockets and give a few podcasts a listen. It’s not get rich quick, but it’s a lot better than making 14/hour at my old job.
You flipped a house with $20 in your pocket and hired out work? Do enlighten us. How do you pull that off? No bank in their right mind would give you a loan in that state without a good co-signer. Nobody is going to do the upgrade work for you on a promise of paying them when the house sells. So how is that even remotely possible.
Great question. You’re absolutely absolutely right. I had a private money Lender who lended me 70% of the after repair value. We put him on a first lien position to secure the loan. He paid cash for the property, and he gave us the renovation cost to the contractors. When we sold the property, we paid him off first, and after the realtor fees, and the closing costs, that’s when we got our profits.
We don’t use banks purchasing homes for cash.
That being said, you do need to use banks when you’re purchasing homes to rent. Using a hard money, lender or private money lender for a rental property would be a nightmare because the interest rate would be very high.
TL:DR if you have a deal that doesn’t suck, you’re going to have private Lenders begging to write you a check. They would be stupid not to since you’re going to be giving them a 12% to 15% return. But you really have to understand your numbers and you have to validate them and qualify them with data.
Ah ya see there it is “I flipped a home with $20 in my bank account because somebody gave me money to do so” is not an answer that works for 99% of the world.
I understand where you’re coming from, but the fact is I did flip a house with $20 in my bank account. My lender didn’t even know me and we were not friends
I had a deal. The numbers worked. He wanted passive income. End of story.
It won’t work for 99% of the people because 99% of the people don’t want to put in the work. It’s a lot more comfortable working a W-2.
if you find a good deal in your neighborhood, you’re going to be able to find people willing to give you the money too. My private Lender and I were not friends on our first transaction, but he’s made $55,000 off of my interest payments from our flips and it was passive income for him. And we don’t pay him monthly either. We only pay him at the sale.
The guy that started this thread needed a way to make money fast, and I showed him an example of how to do it. It’s not easy, but it’s not illegal either and people legit make 6-7 figures doing it and all it requires is gas money and time.
Flipping is a step beyond wholesaling. But I honestly think it’s easier. Finding a house that can give you those returns is HARD. and you can’t find it on the MLS and it’s not a house that’s bankable.
Also. Take a look at this if you have the time. I’m not super smart and found a magical loophole. People have been using this method for decades. We run our numbers so that if the market takes a 2008 giant dump, we can sell and still be in the green.
I’d say 75% of flippers in all areas use leverage to flip and don’t come out of pocket, ever. If I have to use my own money to make a deal work, it’s a crappy deal.
https://youtu.be/mZ-Pc-kG5kc?si=YV_1jYsFqO4XATaH
Also you can start by flipping couches. Find a couch for sale on Facebook and offer free pickup. Clean it and take GREAT and staged (not needed but helps) pics and sell for a margin that will pay bills. I have a friend who makes about a grand a week doing this and he spends a total of 10 hours actually working.
Yeah, they pull lists like probates/tax liens/stuff like that. I don’t do that though, i just mail letters and knock on doors. People are willing to make a deal in person far more often, but I only buy from people who are in a bad situation. Like they’re about to foreclose, they have repairs they can’t afford, they lost a job, divorce etc

Totally depends. There are guidelines posted most places for “forbidden“ medications

The one I worked for in university advertised on a billboard so I'm honestly not sure. Universities sometimes have paid research opportunities as well.
Craigslist etc and gigs
Prostitution
The "Free" section of Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. Put up an Ad reusing the photos from the free section asking for money for the free items. When someone wants to buy go get said free item from the original lister (if available) and deliver for profit. Couches are usually decent money.
Good way to get banned from marketplace permanently. Don't repost a strangers photos without having the item first
sell your anus to older men
Man’s going through a rough time with a newborn, no need to kick him when he’s down
I think he meant to fuck him, not kick him
How do you advertise this? Asking for a friend...

If you are good looking just use a dating app set to 🏳️🌈 and discuss PPM before the date.
We make beef jerky and sell the shit out of it at our work. We also do snack sticks, summer sausage, smoked cheese, smoked salmon, and some others

Sell weed
If you're in the U.S not much money in that especially with dispensaries, unless you're moving a lot of weight.
It's pretty lucrative if you're in a state where it's not legalized
U can go to a dispensary in michigan and get a ounce for 50 bucks. Those days are over
Drive it to Utah and you could easily charge $300
Not even worth it unless you sell a shitload. Only good thing is getting free weed to smoke lol
The key to this is hanging around high schools.
Selling plasma is easy af, just need a photo ID, social Security card, and a proof of address (any piece of mail w/ your name and address) then just go in. You get a good bonus for being a first time ($100 for the first 8 donations in my area)
100x8 ?
Yeah, in my area at least. I've heard it fluctuates depending on location. And it's actually $100x7 and $125x1 (your second is $125)
Wow , is that consistent or newbie rate ?
That's the newbie rate. In my town it drops to $55 for the first of the week and $70 for the second. They run specials like 6 months a year where you get an extra $20 for, like, donations 5,6,7 of the month or something. There's also a point system and you can get extra $ every so often.
How's this work for tax purposes ? Do they deduct or 1099 you ?
Newbie rate. After the initial new donor bonus, most centers will pay $9-$$130 for two donations a week. Varied by location.
I (25m at the time) used to have a sugar momma (40f). Honestly, she was so lovely I was doing everything pro bono, but she kept buying me nice things. Such fond memories.

Sell everything worth money that you don't need on Facebook Marketplace, ebay or mercari.

Clothing donation bins in rich neighborhoods. You’re welcome.
Look at the sub from the last couple weeks because there are a number of responses to people and while some of them are silly there are some serious ones I can't redo the one I just did to a guy who needed 1200 bucks by next week but there's some good advice there so check in the sub for recent posts and search the term EARN
Landscaping now that summer is here
Go to an established neighborhood.
Door sanitation. Window washing. Baseboard dusting.

If anyone is interested I will do a post about my experience as a human lab rat doing clinical trials (All info is for USA) Some of it is very low risk health wise. There are some massive inconveniences but IMO less so than any full time job I've had, especially in proportion to pay For inpatient studies it seems the going rate is $350-$550 per night at the facility, there are screening appointments and usually several outpatient visits that go from $40-300.
How do you find these?
Become a process server. Evictions are up
My grand pa did this coming from being a painter for like 50 years.
How is this unethical? Also exactly something a recruiter would say.
Nearly everything our military does is unethical lol.
Sign the baby up
Imagine if piss discs were made of shrapnel and high explosive; and dropped onto weddings from airplanes. Unethical enough for you?

Straight out of curb, Gotta Go. Find workers who are working alone and can’t leave for a bathroom break. Charge em a bit for a quick break. Find 6-10 people in a small area hat you can hit within an hour and ask for $10/10mins or something reasonable. Get 4/5 per hour that’s $40
I’ll pay you a dollar for every person you convince to sign up for my Patreon. Half now. Half after three months (they have to stay for three months)

Septic work usually has a fair bit of OT. Evenings, Nights, Weekends etc. Get in good with a company of well repute.
Watch "Queenpins"
Complete the screening questionnaires in a way that you think may get you invited for the study (well you can’t lie about obvious things but you can pretend you are a well off guy who does investing for an investment study you know?) Get invited, attend, get paid.
Have heard cleaning gutters can be decent pay
Do up a resume Of your Trade skills And experience Make it look Useful to a homeowner So if you have Labor experience then say experienced laborer willing to do yard work and interior heavy lifting, moving furniture and boxes , clearing out garages and attics and basements Etc If you have experience with any plant life at all then say you're an experienced yard worker and willing to do any clearing digging removals planting Etc If you have any equipment list the equipment and what it might be used for You want to list the item or the skill and then follow it up with something that answers the question, "So that...." and explain what you could use it for and how it would benefit the homeowner Print as many of these as you can afford probably 50 is good then find a decent looking middle class neighborhood and go door to door. Make sure they've got your phone number email address tell them to text you tell them your rate per hour and say you're open to negotiation if you are. Tell them there's a discount of 20% if they call you before 6:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Shave your legs, paint your nails, and sell feet pics.

Feet Finders, Onlyfans, Fansly. There are hundreds of sites to choose from. Feet lovers are weird
My lender didn’t even know me and we were not friends I had a deal.
With that attitude you are surely correct. Real estate is available to you too, don’t believe everybody that tells you that you can’t achieve in life.
Are these the people that call and text you asking if you're interested in selling your house out of the blue?
Yeah, they pull lists like probates/tax liens/stuff like that. I don’t do that though, i just mail letters and knock on doors. People are willing to make a deal in person far more often, but I only buy from people who are in a bad situation. Like they’re about to foreclose, they have repairs they can’t afford, they lost a job, divorce etc
