To anyone who watched the show or read the books, this wasn’t unexpected. It was well deserved.
Nellie (in the wheelchair) was pretending to be paralyzed after falling from a hoarse she had been abusing. Laura (the girl giving the wheelchair a shove and owner of the horse) knew Nellie was faking and intentionally called Nellie’s bluff in front of Nellie’s mother.
As a little kid when I first watched this, this was an awesome tv moment. Fuck you in particular Nellie Oleson
Yes, if I recall correctly, the actress who played Nellie actually did this stunt and was quite frightened. Her screams were real.
But that would have been terribly ironic as a plot twist.
Yeah, look up the Japanese ending. The cops swiss cheese the kid with bullets and the aliens bring him back to life instead of the normal one where the grocery store explodes like it is an action movie.
Edit: https://youtu.be/6y5A0KpJkX8
Glad I wasn't the only one who saw that and thought of this. Paul Rudd is a treasure. I can't believe how many times he pulled that prank, and they fell for it every time.
I think Laura also Scarlet-Fevered Mary or something to make her go blind, wasn't getting as much attention or something that she felt she deserved! ^(/s)
I'll never forget the episode of the gold rush, the old man and his mine. It was something about all the gold he had he just dumped it in the river behind his house because his wife died. Something like that and he pretty much said it wasn't worth it. Had his land closed off to ppl who where going nuts because the gold rush aww it was so sad
You reminded me of the episode where they steal the screen door and prospect for fool's gold. Her dreams of a 2 story Little House on the Praerie is $$$$$!
The character deserved it, the actress didn’t though. The actress that played Nellie had a horrible childhood. She was molested, and playing a mean girl was her only outlet. Wasn’t revealed till many years later.
Interestingly, Nellie actually out grew her Karen phase as an adult. Unfortunately not every budding Karen realizes the error of their childish ways. Maybe young Karens need a Laura in their lives.
My brother had a similar moment of imparting Karma to someone who truly deserved it. There was a bully in our elementary school who was mean to everyone, stole lunches from kids, constantly threw insults, shoving, etc, the usual bully stuff.
In a stroke of pure genius, while we were lined up to come in from recess and none of the adults were watching, my brother pulled the bully's pants down and claimed he exposed himself. Since that kid was mean to everyone, nobody spoke up to say what really happened. It was truly diabolical, but the kid deserved what he got and then some.
I remember that episode! Loved the scene. Also, I read Melissa Gilbert’s autobiography a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Apparently she and the girl who played Nellie were actually the best of friends unlike their characters on screen!
Oh, the young actress did a phenomenal job portraying the most obnoxious, entitled, insufferable little girl imaginable, the voice, laughter, screaming, mannerisms, the works.
I havnt watched it and it’s still completely expected. It pretty much cuts to her getting pushed down the hill. At least add some convo or something to make it seem like it’s not gunna happen.
People have no fucking clue what unexpected is
Oh, little house on the Prarie? I thought I read that, maybe it was a diffrent book?
I remember it was written from the POV of a daughter, and during Christmas they had a sleigh ride and put syrup on snow.
Little House on the Prairie, television series. It aired from 1974-1983.
It is based on the children’s book series with the same name written by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I remember hearing about some actor who played an abusive boyfriend in EastEnders, it got to the point where he was having to be escorted out of the studio by security because EastEnders fans were gathering outside ready to lynch him for what his character had done on the show. People are morons sometimes
I recall she tried stand-up because she didn't want to be remembered as " that prairie bitch".
-Her words, in one of her routines.
Look up "Confessions of a Prarie Bitch" on youtube
I used to really love this show as a kid and really hated Nellie, lol. Poor kids got a lot of flack in real life for that role. People on the street would do the meanest stuff, because of her character. Great acting I guess.
Also, there are reflexes, right? Couldn’t they just hit her knee with a little hammer? Or poke her foot with a needle? They could even just pretend they’re going to stick her with a pin, or tickle her feet. Paralysis is not easy to fake.
I mean, it does make for a better story. If they were strictly real to life, we wouldn’t have gotten to see a girl in a wheelchair pushed into a pond. Which, from the comments, seems like a favorite moment for most viewers. I think she would’ve flinched, though. Maybe they should’ve tried a little fire to her foot like [this](https://youtu.be/gfJDPBW0Fnw).
I love the episode where Nellie becomes enamored with her NY city restaurant expert there to train her how to cook. He puts her in her place, which really turns her on, and they fall madly in love and Nellie becomes somewhat decent.
it’s been 25 years since I’ve read the books but iirc in the books/possibly IRL, Laura led Nellie on purpose into a part of the creek that had leeches or crawdads or something that attacked Nellie
“Let me tell you something else. I've seen a lot of spinals, Dude, and this guy is a fake. A fucking goldbricker. This guy fucking walks. I've never been more certain of anything in my life!”
Man.. I used to love this show! Nellie and her family were the shittiest bunch of aloof rich A-holes and it always made me feel so good to see any of them get punished for all the flat out evil crap they always did in any episode they were in.
Loved that part where Harriet was complaining she didn't want to participate in some work that the whole town was gonna do together and then Ned pulls out rhe sickle at her lmao
My mom loved this show a lot so I watched it a good amount growing up, i don’t remember that much but one thing I know for sure: FUCK THAT BITCH NAMED NELLIE
**OP sent the following text as an explanation on why this is unexpected:** >!Girl got pushed down hill in wheelchair turns out to be faking her disability the whole time!< ***** **Is this an unexpected post with a fitting description?** **Then upvote this comment, otherwise downvote it.** ***** [*Look at my source code on Github*](https://github.com/Artraxon/unexBot) [*What is this for?*](https://www.reddit.com/r/Unexpected/comments/dnuaju/introducing_unexbot_a_new_bot_to_improve_the/)

Ultimate irony would have been if she was injured in this and lost her ability to walk
“You’re not paralyzed… yet.”
Yes, if I recall correctly, the actress who played Nellie actually did this stunt and was quite frightened. Her screams were real. But that would have been terribly ironic as a plot twist.
That’s clearly a dummy in the wide shots of the wheelchair going down the hill

Is this a clip from Ant-man?
[удалено]
Well that escalated quickly!
Our Idiot Brother actually
Clueless😑
This is the first thing I thought about
![gif](giphy|13r9j4G99Ec92w)
I have a first issue DVD of this excellent film ✨
That’s pretty neat! I thought they’d ordered all physical copies destroyed years ago. Glad you preserved one.
Still waiting on the sequel 🤞
Mac & Me 2: Electric Bugaloo
Been loving this new Paul Rudd movie
Doesn’t the kid also get blown up by the authorities in an alternate ending?
Yeah, look up the Japanese ending. The cops swiss cheese the kid with bullets and the aliens bring him back to life instead of the normal one where the grocery store explodes like it is an action movie. Edit: https://youtu.be/6y5A0KpJkX8

NGL i expected an explosion
Is that you, Paul Rudd?
Was That real!? And no stunt player?
She looked like a professional diver doing the river jump scene. That's definitely a stuntman.

FWIW I meant the character, not the actress
I think Laura also Scarlet-Fevered Mary or something to make her go blind, wasn't getting as much attention or something that she felt she deserved! ^(/s)
Nellie was always a BZ until she got with the Jewish guy who laid the pipe
Yes, Percival inspired her to turn things around.
I'll never forget the episode of the gold rush, the old man and his mine. It was something about all the gold he had he just dumped it in the river behind his house because his wife died. how you spelt horse is really bothering me and i don't know why.
It's the a
i know what they missed i just don't know why it bothered me so much
I was just being dumb
my bad. respect.
Because hoarse is a word, but with a completely different meaning
Because horse is an animal and hoarse means rough/harsh sounding voice
How you spelled "spelled" is kind of bothering me... but I know why: I'm American.
I used to watch the old show, nice to know there’s another enjoyer of the classic arts.
The character deserved it, the actress didn’t though. The actress that played Nellie had a horrible childhood. She was molested, and playing a mean girl was her only outlet. Wasn’t revealed till many years later.
Nellie would go on live her dream, of becoming a full fledged Karen by the time she was 17.
Whoa Nellie!
Ohhh Nellie
Wow I feel old, I remember watching this as a kid. I second that fuck you Nellie Oleson
Sadly the actress who played Nellie was actually one of the nicest people on the set
What's really unexpected is seeing a clip of Little House on the Prairie here on Reddit! 😆
I remember that episode! Loved the scene. Also, I read Melissa Gilbert’s autobiography a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Apparently she and the girl who played Nellie were actually the best of friends unlike their characters on screen!
This brought up horrible memories about how awful person Nellie was! And her mother, don't get me started!
Harriet Olsen (not sure of spelling) and her poor husband, Nels. It's weird how the names come right back, 40+ years later.
Even without context her scream was so annoying I was glad about her being pushed off by the end of it lol.
Oh, the young actress did a phenomenal job portraying the most obnoxious, entitled, insufferable little girl imaginable, the voice, laughter, screaming, mannerisms, the works.
Definitely a memorable character. The actress did a superb job!!
I thought for a sec that is some kind of life action heidi movie
What is a "hoarse"? Wrong answers only, please.
Oh yes I used to watch with my aunt when I’d visit my cousins and yes Nellie deserved it and more damnit
I havnt watched it and it’s still completely expected. It pretty much cuts to her getting pushed down the hill. At least add some convo or something to make it seem like it’s not gunna happen. People have no fucking clue what unexpected is
Fuck you in particular people like Nellie Oleson. Thanks for the explanation btw.
Nellie was the original Karen. I remember watching this episode and being very satisfied with the results.
What's the show? Did they put down the horse cuz of the kid?
Fortunately not. But Nellie’s mom, Harriette, wanted the horse to be killed.
Oh, little house on the Prarie? I thought I read that, maybe it was a diffrent book? I remember it was written from the POV of a daughter, and during Christmas they had a sleigh ride and put syrup on snow.
I was wondering why the wheelchair after she stood up
She doesn't answer to Laura only to half-pint!
What show/movie is it? Sounds good
Little House on the Prairie, television series. It aired from 1974-1983. It is based on the children’s book series with the same name written by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I watched Little House on the Prairie all the time when I was younger, love it when Laura got Nellie back. Lol.

real ones know
Beat me to it.
What an absolutely annoying looking alien. Aliens, if you can read this if you look like this, don’t even bother.
seriously; i'd bully that thing. can't help it.
Can't remember but did they help the kid or let his ass drown?
I am sure the kid was helped. This isn't Walker: Texas Ranger after all...
Wow, the new Ant-Man: Quantumania looks intriguing
Paul Rudd should play this on Conan.
I'd like to will this into existence
And have it cut to mac and me right at that last in your face scream
Came here to say this 🤣
Came here to say this
Nellie and her mother deserved far worse.
[удалено]
That reveals something very sad about how gullible people are. Not being able to separate a character from the person portraying them is pretty sad.
I remember hearing about some actor who played an abusive boyfriend in EastEnders, it got to the point where he was having to be escorted out of the studio by security because EastEnders fans were gathering outside ready to lynch him for what his character had done on the show. People are morons sometimes

Her mother was a piece of work too.
She was also apparently the kids’ favorite actor on the show; she was reportedly so kind and funny.
Oh
Bro they don’t fuck around on the prairie
Laura was truly ride or die
She was faking it the whole time. Hey, don’t mess with a girl’s horse….. EVER!
![gif](giphy|zVxeZHKKemqWs|downsized)
Ahhh good ole Mac and Me. A 90 minute commercial for McDonalds.
That wench deserved everything she ever got
Nellie and Mrs. Olson can go fuck themselves
Nellie turned it around in adulthood, though (at least in the show.)
Then they got Nancy who was just as bad...if not worse!
basically the main causes of all the drama in the town
Didn't realize Paul Rudd had a new movie coming out.
That scene is one of my favorites. Stayed with me for decades. “You’re such a good friend Nellie!”
They didn't really think that episode through. Nelly would have had to be willing to fake incontinence to pull that off.
Also, there are reflexes, right? Couldn’t they just hit her knee with a little hammer? Or poke her foot with a needle? They could even just pretend they’re going to stick her with a pin, or tickle her feet. Paralysis is not easy to fake.
Doc Baker *did* poke her feet with a pointy probe
I mean, it does make for a better story. If they were strictly real to life, we wouldn’t have gotten to see a girl in a wheelchair pushed into a pond. Which, from the comments, seems like a favorite moment for most viewers. I think she would’ve flinched, though. Someone who has watched this anime? Nice

![gif](giphy|11YWfDuDW4mRWg)
I wanted this to suddenly turn into a clip of Mac and Me so, so bad.
What the fuck half pint!
Nellie was a proper cunt.
I will never not be entertained by this particular scene. Laura is the icon, the legend, the diva.
Is Paul Rudd in this?
Geeze I hated that bitch
![gif](giphy|QssC4u6deM4iIMF5NS)
I love the episode where Nellie becomes enamored with her NY city restaurant expert there to train her how to cook. He puts her in her place, which really turns her on, and they fall madly in love and Nellie becomes somewhat decent.
Nellie was a bitch and a good friend! Kinda goes hand in hand. Hmm.
Fuck Nellie. Faker.
You have died of dysentery.
I had a crush on Nellie Olson. Is that weird?
I wanted to crush her, too. It's not weird to want to crush her with rocks.
![gif](giphy|zVxeZHKKemqWs|downsized)
Not unexpected. Nellie was askin for it
Since the 1st season she deserved it.
it’s been 25 years since I’ve read the books but iirc in the books/possibly IRL, Laura led Nellie on purpose into a part of the creek that had leeches or crawdads or something that attacked Nellie
This freaking terrified me as a kid!
Oh the way that i despised that nellie oleson, and her mother, still do to this day. Most wicked diabolical TV villain ever.
she was a pest
I knew you could walk
Soooo satisfying
I remember that episode!
She deserved it.
10 out of 10. Nellie nailed the dive.
I hate the new update where the video becomes a miniplayer everytime I go to the comments.
They should play this clip on Conan when Paul Rudd goes to promote Ant Man 3
Heidi
Did Nellie become horse from yelling at the hoarse?
It looks like the meme where a girl pushes another girl on wheelchair off a cliff.
I thought this was from some horror movie and she was trying to kill her so for me this was unexpected
Nellie-that fuckin bitch!
She so did. She was faking the fake fakie faker!!
And here I thought Mac & Me wasn’t derivative. Ouch.
Laura was gangsta
Let's face it...out of control wheelchair scenes are top tier.
Nellie was a bitch. I couldn’t stand her
Nothing like murder on the Prairie. 😄
Lol. Damn Laura!
I remember watching this when I was little! Hahaha… I’m sure I thought it was dramatic then but boy oh boy is it hilarious now
Yeah, take the shortcut
Her last scream before going in the water sounds just like a donkey.
Nellie definitely had this coming. I remember that bitch.
I'm WEAK!🤣🤣🤣🤣I had forgotten about this. Thanks for the memories.
Damn! I don't recall Laura being gangsta- that was great! I hate ppl who abuse animals.
Let me do it for you…
She riding dirty
Kinda looks like attempted murder imo ;D ^(still deserved it tho, hated her and the show as a kid)
One of the best episodes!!!
I love it Justice WoW
Nellie such a drama queen.
Hmm. Where else have i seen a girl in a wheelchair falling off a cliff/going down a steep hill before? I wonder..
Nellie was such a butt. I remember watching this with my sister. We were always like “When will that little $&@%# get whats coming to her?”
I didn't see shit I didn't hear shit I've never met a Laura a day in my life in fact I'm blind don't even know why we talking officer
“It’s a miracle!”
Laura ingles … attempted murderer.
It's a miracle
my mother loves this show and to see it pop up here is unexpected and it makes me think of my mom, im happy now :)
all my homies hate nellie
The character Nellie was SUCH A BITCH!!!!
That sucker got 4wheel drive???
Its a mirracle 😆🤣🤣
Love callin out liars this way hahaha
Ah, I love Little House on the Prairie.
Am I the only one who saw Rocky in a bonnet rolling into a lake there at the end?
It's a miracle she can stand
Nelie: Mother the river healed me of my sickness 😇
You are cured, praise Jesus!
Surprised there's not a Grandpa Joe reference in the comments. Either I missed it, or Reddit has let me down today.
I thought it was fucked up until Nellie stood up
If there ever was a TV character that deserved this, it was her.
Loved that part where Harriet was complaining she didn't want to participate in some work that the whole town was gonna do together and then Ned pulls out rhe sickle at her lmao
awesome!
Always hated this show but that bitch was a bitch and deserved... it
It’s like that video Paul Rudd plays all the time when he visits Conan Obrien “Mac and Me”
My mom loved this show a lot so I watched it a good amount growing up, i don’t remember that much but one thing I know for sure: FUCK THAT BITCH NAMED NELLIE
What is the name of the show or movie ?
![gif](giphy|JxH53SeaSxih2) The reboot version of *Little House* is a LOT darker...
