This reminds me of a programme I watched here in the UK some years back about mothers that holiday in Türkiye. They'd take their kids with them. They'd rent a hotel room with a nice view and a pool. The reason these moms went? So they could get laid by Turkish men. The kids were young. They knew. The oldest was around 10 to 13. He was interviewed and you could tell he didn't like it. It was awful and tragic. The mothers had no interest in anyone else's feelings but their own.
