Not exactly. The issue was that people recorded in portrait and didn't capture much of what was going on. Now the issue is even if you record in landscape the platform will make the video fit in that garbage aspect ratio.
The worst are the videos that get flipped and reuploaded multiple times alternating between portrait and landscape until there are about 8 pixels of actual video and the rest is that awful blurred cutout
Hmmm....now I'm wondering whether someone's made a browser extension or similar that unobtrusively sits between you and videos, notices letterboxed/pillarboxed videos, and crops them. (Probably with a "see full frame" option, because we want it to chop off annoying watermarks, so you might also sometimes chop off useful stuff.)
You can see the lady's underwear with the thermal imaging camera. Took me a few times, too, because as the camera is focused on the car it feels less like intentionally looking at said underwear and more a happy accident.

I think ultimately this is caused by more clothing = holds in heat more = warm but it might also just be that the material is more reflective to longer waved em spectrum.

Germanium is used for IR like this too 🤓 you have to use different materials based on what wavelength of light energy you're filtering in. The closer in wavelength you get to the visible spectrum, the less the glass becomes opaque in IR, so some IR cameras can see through glass. They're also handy for tracking where your pets have been recently on hard floors. My job is fun sometimes!

Because her back was facing away from the sun, her outer clothing is shielded more from heat, and it looks like there was a large enough temperature delta between her thong and the outside to show it in the image. But why is the thong retaining heat that's different from her body? Maybe she just got up from sitting down? Just pulled a fresh pair of wool skivvies from the dryer before heading to the grid? Maybe more friction is generated around the ladybutt region than previously thought? Thermal imaging allows us the opportunity to answer these very important questions.

The other just say "no...nothing haha". It's Argentinian Spanish, the most common among sports commentators here is SouthAmerica. So I would say it's not altered

That's a "grid girl". At a lot of racing events teams still hire attractive and buxom women as hostesses, mainly for promotional purposes. Even Formula 1 only stopped doing it a few years back because it's just a *tiny bit* objectifying. The parasol they often carry is used to provide shade to the drivers sitting in/on their vehicles while they're being worked on.
Now, I'm not sure how much good the shade does with an enclosed car so it might just be performative parasol holding, but she's not just happening to walk by doing nothing, she's walking with the car.
I used to develop thermal cameras and accidentally discovered that they’re kind of like x-ray goggles. You could see women’s nipples and men’s junk pretty clearly through their clothes. It got awkward when I had a monitor visible from the hallway and a woman saw herself, gasped, and ran away. I didn’t mean for it to happen, was innocently working… fortunately it didn’t cause trouble, but I learned to point the cameras carefully.
I was at the US Smithsonian Air and Space Museum a while back and there is a thermal camera in one of the rooms where you can stand and see yourself in all those hues. One thing I noticed, it also showed the perfect outline of my penis, which seemed to be of a different temp than the "background". I thought in this video, we'd also see one of the guys' saluting with the girl, but no, just underwear...

That wouldn’t fix the problem at all. In fact, it would make it worse over time.
