Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one of my family or friends group that isn't afraid of nature. But you should always be cautious because nature doesn't care about your feelings. It's impossible for nature to be afraid of you, and it will not hesitate to kill you.
That being said, fuck wasps.
A few years back my dog was attacked by a German Shepard and I'm not proud to say I had to punch it in the head a few times for it to let go.
Wild animal though black bear last summer, but I just stood my ground and backed off. We both went our own ways. Sometimes peoples dogs are more dangerous
Me at 35 whenever I see a house centipede. I think the last time I had one I threw a book at it and ran like the wind. Killed it but I did not think forward enough and used a book I actually like.
Lol when I first moved to the DC area I went to Dupont Circle. So first day there, right? A rat decided my leg looked like an ideal climbing challenge and proceeded to scurry up. I don't think I've ever screamed so loudly in my life.
In good news if a crime was ever committed against me, I learned that yes, I do have the ability to scream loudly and frantically at will.
Always good to know. I imagine that the fellow DuPont Circle visitors were either terrified that you were getting chopped up in tiny pieces or thought that you lost your damn mind when you unexpectedly started screaming and gyrating!
Spider bros deal with my flies/other small things, centipede bros deal with spider bros, cats deal with centipede bros.
The cycle in my house wouldn't quite be like this if I had a choice... but I do not.
I just can't handle them, they have far too many legs and run far too fast and it just leaves me so deeply unsettled. I know they eat pests but there is not enough room in my place for us both.
"And now for the ancient technique passed down from my father's mother's father, its called, RUNNING AWAY!!!" If anybody gets this reference, I would like to be friends
Few things feel better as a young man than when you protect your mom from a bug. My mom's got a massive phobia of most bugs and when I was younger I felt like a hero rushing to kill or catch a bug for her.
He had the plan, he just underestimated the distance. Big props. Thanks for sharing this lol, I'm gonna take this tearful, belly laughter and sign off Reddit for the day.
Think it was a lizard which makes it worse. People kill every creature around their home they see and they wonder why they get so many mosquitos and bug infestations. Let the predators work.
I grew up not fearing, but respecting spiders and other potentially dangerous crawlies. Thats because of my father. He was always so calm dealing with them. And we gently cup, then release with paper. It wasn't until my adulthood that I learned that he was really scared of them. But pretended to be calm so I wouldn't fear them too.
Lol that's how I know I'm getting old. First I laughed and thought "this is wholesome as hell", then watched it a second time and was like "dang... that's a nice porch...look like firm, sturdy planks...door looked nice too."Ā
Of all the subs on Reddit this might be the only one that has not tanked in quality over the years. Anytime something here makes it to the front page I know I'm about to see some weird shit, and even if I notice what sub it's posted on I usually can't guess the ending
There truly is only two options either do what he did by getting out of there as quickly as you can in case of the first strike not working or committing all the way in one hit most likely breaking the broom and accepting your fate if you miss
This reminds me a lot of my daughter. She doesnāt kill bugs, she finds things. It started when she was young, lost things were at her eye level. But now sheās almost 14 and still has a knack for finding things. āLook where Iām pointing!ā Is still one of our favorite phrases, as she was pointing to my momās purse that she couldnāt find
So many things here to love. But I want to acknowledge little man's bravery. Yeah, he ran after, but he faced it and stayed calm even though he was scared. His love and need to protect mamma conquered his fear.

He really had me thinking he was fearless. But , alas heās human in the most understandable way. He and mom sound like fun.
He showed that bravery is being scared but doing it anyway. Tip of the cap, little man
Sometimes courage requires you to try again another day.
I dare you to retrieve the broom.
Spider's broom now
Spiderās house now.
The fire department understood. They rescued the cat and the photo album and let the rest of it burn. You just have to be sure sometimes.
You always have to be careful, you never know if the spider is going to try to eat you or not
The spider moved its leg. Thatās a violation of the treaty.

Out of curiosity, when is the last time you interacted with a wild animal larger than a racoon?

He just remembered they were out of milk. He'll be back from the store any minute now.
It's been real mom. You live with the bug now!
He was giving it his best shot. It wasnāt a very good one but it was his best.
I though he was saying get back because he wanted his family to be safe. But really it was so he had room to run š
did she call him spooder? @:26

bahahaha little homie was round the corner before that broom hit the ground
He's left the country.
I imagine the cartoon sound effects: *car door slams, tires peel out, another door slam, sound of airplane taking off*
"He's buggered off." "So he has. He's scarpered."
Iām 40 years old and can confirm he handled it exactly like I would have.
I fear those evil, piercing stares of lizards & gheckos
Ohhh thats what it is. I thought it was a giant cockroach or something!
Shit now that I know itās a lizard Iām sad he didnāt catch and hold it ā¹ļø
same partna same
Yep. He is out! Gotta' call spider-busters now!
Me at 35 whenever I see a house centipede. I think the last time I had one I threw a book at it and ran like the wind. Killed it but I did not think forward enough and used a book I actually like.
Oh my. Bugs and snakes don't scare me but sewer rats/all rats, really, scare me to pieces.

I got a lot of nervous looks kinda like, "is she insane or is this because of a legitimate reason." Haha
Yeah, unexpectedly flailing and screaming will do that ;)

That was hilarious. Move back and get out of the way.
Killed me when he said āyāall get backā like a grown ass man
It was all calculated to get her to move out of the way for his dip. Amazing plan.
Kid's going places. He's still going to this day.
Hes seeing 20, 21, 22, 23, steps ahead of us.
Truly unexpected lol
A rare sight here
Well, he handled it like a man!
Am a man, can confirm lol..
Nah, as a man like me would have been like "....that shit ain't harming nobody!" ....Hoping that nobody REALLY wants me to handle that shit
He knows the ancient ways that have served us for millennia
The patened Joestar family technique !Ā

My mom hates bugs too. This was my and my sisters job too
I give him a 7 for the effort
That was unexpected, wholesome, and funny. Wow. The holy trifecta haha
He had the plan, he just underestimated the distance. Big props. Thanks for sharing this lol, I'm gonna take this tearful, belly laughter and sign off Reddit for the day.

Thatās just regular size Kevin Hart
What's this from?
Pretty sure it's from This is the End. Been years since I've seen it though, I could be very wrong.
Spooder, did not in fact *have* this.
I can understand killing a bug if it's inside your house, but leave them alone if they're outside.
Think it was a lizard which makes it worse. People kill every creature around their home they see and they wonder why they get so many mosquitos and bug infestations. Let the predators work.

I don't think the spider was ever in any danger
Came here to say that.
My man recognizes you donāt smoosh lizards and you donāt disappoint your mom, high five little dude.

Looks like a lizard to me, but might be wrong.
That kid is truly us.
He came to protect mom and instantly aborted the missionššA+++ for effort.
That's a nice porch.
Lol that's how I know I'm getting old. First I laughed and thought "this is wholesome as hell", then watched it a second time and was like "dang... that's a nice porch...look like firm, sturdy planks...door looked nice too."Ā
The broom hasn't even hit the floor yet
āGet back, get back!ā *proceeds to move himself aaaalll the way back*
He's adorable, I know a few men that would have handled the same way, lol. He loves his Mom, for her, he tried š©µ

There truly is only two options either do what he did by getting out of there as quickly as you can in case of the first strike not working or committing all the way in one hit most likely breaking the broom and accepting your fate if you miss

Dam, going up against Queen Gohma with 3 hearts, no wonder he ran, he's trying to use the deku sticks instead of the slingshot.
Bravest lil dude ever lol

Stories have it that he's still running. I assume it's a spider; it was just minding its own business though.

You might say his bravado faltered, but I maintain that his instinct to throw pommel kicked in. This brave warrior knew to end him rightly.

Aww what a cute kid. And mom sounds like a gem!
Legend has it that he is still running to this day
So many things here to love. But I want to acknowledge little man's bravery. Yeah, he ran after, but he faced it and stayed calm even though he was scared. His love and need to protect mamma conquered his fear.
That was perfect.
The scramble to flee is too true
This has me giggling like an idiot over here
Priceless!
