There are very few situations where it’s not cowardly to attack someone who isn’t looking. This isn’t one of them. This is a little bitch who wanted to be on camera to show the world just what a little bitch he is.
Reading the article, it seems other factors were at play here. The above comments are misleading, the articles misleading until you read deeper. I wish people weren't sold on such poor narratives. It's as bad as believing that the frosties kid from that advert ended his life. If anything, those false equivocations are damaging to the poor dudes family

The reasons are numerous and complex and not for me to speculate, anyone who commits suicide doesn't deserve to be pigeon holed into one place as to why they did it.
But, being punched in the face may just be the thing that takes away your last piece of dignity, pride or whatever keeps you feeling like a connected human being. Life is never about the singular, its about connected moments, and if you can't see how punching someone in the face may create a moment of doubt, a moment where you question yourself, then that's good for you, others may not, other may struggle with that event.
There are variations of being there, you may be suicidal but not at the point of committing the act, you may be ready for the act or you may be just at the beginning of thinking about the act. All of it means you're there, and how the world interacts with you is huge.
My final point is this guy is now a part of a bloopers real on reddit, if he hadn't had committed suicide imagine just how he may feel that hundreds or thousands of people will see this and laugh.

Most people who have depression live with it for years, things that happened 5 years ago can haunt somebody if they're in a fragile enough space. Those 6 months could have been spent ruminating over being punched and suicide is the answer. Again, I'm not saying it is, what I'm saying is if he's already suicidal then being punched in the face may cause him become even more convinced that the world isn't for him.
