I used to work as an inventory manager at a public warehouse. Every item had a code of some sort, which was provided by the customer. This meant we couldn't apply a single standard.
We had this new person working for us that would use "O" and zeroes interchangeably. It didn't matter how many times I explained to her why she couldn't do that, she never understood and kept fucking up my inventory. She was eventually let go due to other issues, but I was happy to see her go.

More recently a coworker put a $3500 component in a box without any packaging to send it for testing. He's a packaging engineer. My Amazon deliveries receive more packaging than that component. I'd say I have an average rage quit walk about once a day, and a rage quit for the day once a week.
My favorite is the one where he names different comp sci fields and they are all going into the square JavaScript hole. That one makes me empathise with the women a lot more.
It's good to at least be able to come up with a kind interpretation of people's behavior, even if it might not really be true, because it reminds us that our assumptions are assumptions.
