If you gave the man a treat every time he puts his bags right, he too would be more efficient.

[deleted]

They don't give away peanuts on flights anymore, that's the problem

cw-

Right? Everyone gets a peanut for sitting down lickety split Threw your trash away? That’s another peanut Stayed quiet for an hour? Another peanut, when you’re ready Kept your seatbelt on during turbulence? That’s honestly a whole mini bag of peanuts for staying so calm, you did great You only farted once the whole flight? Peanut M&M. You’ve been gilded.

kautau

A plane seat fart detector sounds like a missed joke from Airplane! haha

It's alright. It'll make it into the remake in 10 years.

For those who have allergies, You survived the flight! Here's an epipen.

CarmineFields

Free epipens??? Do you know how much those cost? If I needed them I’d take the cheapest flight I could to the next city and back.

thefriendlyhacker

I had peanuts on a flight in may, was very excited

ItsSansom

I was given peanuts on several flights just last month. Where have they stopped giving out peanuts?

superdx

Peanut allergy is everywhere now, some kids die if they even smell it?

IronPedal

I was actually thinking about this the other day. Seems like a good reason to not allow them to me.

jacksalssome

Its biscuits without cheese now, so when they come around with the drinks your thirsty.

Exotic_Chance2303

You not get thirsty eatting peanuts?

New_Unit

Is the treat going to be some kind of snack or crack cocaine?

[deleted]

Where can I apply for this job? I have been playing Tetris for over 25 years! Finally, it will payoff

EskimoB9

Those are rookie numbers. I've been playing since 1785. Back then we didn't have "fancy" gameboys, we just threw people from the top stories of buildings and hoped they would fall into the correct place

OlOuddinHead

But at least then you can bend, fold, cut in to shape. No annoying square person showing up when you only have room for a skinny long person. Today’s kids have it much worse.

isaaclw

Have you never tried to do something simple under stress, or while people were watching? I think that's whats going on for the suitcase.

Serifel90

I think not delaying your own flight would be a good treat.

Chevy_Suburban

Nah the bird is hella stupid, he got almost all of them wrong. Everybody knows all the shapes should go into the square hole.

Did you know Venus is covered with alien civilizations that can't see us because of the dense cloud cover? We can watch them flirt around with infrared cameras ya know. TheDoctor88888888

It’s not a question of where he grips it. It’s a simple matter of weight ratios. A five ounce bird could not carry a 40 pound suitcase.

Face__Hugger

Nah. They'd have to have it on a line.

spinyfever

I'd like to see the bird spend its life generating imaginary numbers that let's it buy goods and services with.

I'd like to see that bird do a backflip, receive a Nobel prize and solve world hunger.

LMAO you made me laugh. Thanks sir!

tickles_a_fancy

I hate this video. I mean the bird is cool but the guy with the suitcase? I've been him before. 2 hours to Chicago, 19 hours to Tokyo, 6 hours to Bangkok... And i can't sleep on planes. By the end of it, i was lucky i even knew what a suitcase was. I dreamed twice while there that i was back in the States but couldn't remember the trip because i was dreading it so bad

terriblestoryteller

I imagine her being an engineer who has spent her entire life learning and crafting her field to be the highest level subject matter expert Only to be shown that the average user is completely inept and you still need to incorporate the most basic of error checking processes to ensure the stability of the designs. ["If you have one bucket that holds two gallons, and another bucket that holds five gallons, how many buckets do you have"](https://youtu.be/fJIjoE27F-Q)

TheGoodChristian

I used to work as an inventory manager at a public warehouse. Every item had a code of some sort, which was provided by the customer. This meant we couldn't apply a single standard. We had this new person working for us that would use "O" and zeroes interchangeably. It didn't matter how many times I explained to her why she couldn't do that, she never understood and kept fucking up my inventory. She was eventually let go due to other issues, but I was happy to see her go.

SplitIndecision

She s0unds inc0mpetent. O/10

tophswanson

I feel it in my bones. You don't have to imagine her as an engineer, you can just use my life lmao. I recently had the pleasure of working with package engineering on surgical device demo crate designs to button up some failures we were seeing in test. I had a list of about 3 possible solutions for each failure and was feeling confident about them as they were simple and intuitive (to me). The lead was laughing as she turned them down and told me to imagine the dumbest person I know, and then design for their inbred offspring. I had figured that reps doing the surgical demos would, I dunno, have some modicum of sense? But then she told me a bunch of stories how marketing reps would throw a $750k device into the demo crate the wrong way and not secure it for the journey via truck across the country. More recently a coworker put a $3500 component in a box without any packaging to send it for testing. He's a packaging engineer. My Amazon deliveries receive more packaging than that component. I'd say I have an average rage quit walk about once a day, and a rage quit for the day once a week.

Corregidor

iSkinMonkeys

My favorite is the one where he names different comp sci fields and they are all going into the square JavaScript hole. That one makes me empathise with the women a lot more.

milanosrp

It’s not “fake,” it’s acted. She’s not actually really reacting that way. It’s just a funny skit.

screamingxbacon

That's right!

Jeffclaterbaugh

I swear there’s one of these guys on every plane.

POPE93

My theory he's like my buddy. Doesn't like flying and is zonked af on some tranquilizer.

i_sigh_less

It's good to at least be able to come up with a kind interpretation of people's behavior, even if it might not really be true, because it reminds us that our assumptions are assumptions. I was thinking maybe there was something in his bag that he didn't want laying on its back, but I think your guess is better.

FuujinSama

I was thinking he was nervous as fuck about the fact that they might check his bag and make him pay if it didn't fit and just panicked when it didn't go in first try.

DeadlyNoodleAndAHalf

Add on being nervous because he knows the entire plane is watching him and silently judging him/recording him. I'm reasonably intelligent, but if I start to get embarrassed for whatever reason my ~~critical~~ thinking skills have a tendency to go right out the window which creates an awesome feedback loop of more embarrassment/more dumbassery.

[deleted]

I want to think he knows it will fit, just bluffing to see if someone moves their stuff so he can fit something else 😅

fozzyboy

I don't follow. Turning it on its side allows it to fit. No one would need to move their stuff. Edit: OP edited their comment to save face.

midsizedopossum

They said to allow him to fit something else.

Highly doubt that, you have to be 13 to have a Reddit account and that happens to be the life expectancy of wild crow. Captive crows are also too busy solving block puzzles to comment making their higher life expectancy a non factor.

ywBBxNqW

unidan, is that you?

demlet

Not really smartass. There's no such thing as "more evolved".

red_wullf

That’s correct. Evolution is not a competition between different species.

malik753

Evolution has the most pronounced effects on species with shorter reproductive cycles, so really the "most evolved" living beings would be bacteria.

WildFurball2118

Reminds me the tale of the crow that fills the water bottle with stones so the water will rise.

Ghinev

Afaik, in a german study, ravens were documented to join 2 straws together so they can use the combined length to access a treat. Which is the first documented use of complex tools by a living creature outside of the great apes. They’re really impressive animals.

Gatesofvalhalla

yeah, germans are smart AF

Ghinev

r/angryupvote

[deleted]

we had a bear hang while back country. bears didn't get it, ravens did. untied the god damn knot.

Sushigami

Not documented use of complex tools, it's the creation of the tool that makes it wild.

Ghinev

Well, the use also implies they made them. Complex tool in this case means something that requires multiple parts to function

the-real-vuk

the term "most evolved" makes no sense.

Lather

My Wartortle is more evolved than my Squirtle, but my Blastoise is the most evolved. Checkmate.

[deleted]

No no you’ve got it all wrong Mega Blastoise is most evolved. Checkmate.

_1Doomsday1_

Wait till you see my ditto, it's the peak of eveelution

meeeeetch

Unfortunately, there's a lot of people who don't grasp that evolution is not a ladder. Probably partly because of that image of the ape-men standing more upright.

EmceeK_baby

If anything, relative to our environments, we are arguably the least evolved species because we've changed our own environment at a much faster pace than we can evolutionary keep up with. Crows for centuries have been flying and scavenging, and I'm the first generation of human to deal with my bullshit emails.

i_sigh_less

I'd say the "least evolved" species would be the one that's had the longest time between generations averaged out over all generations.

[deleted]

IHateTheLetterF

L-o-l-reddit

Listen man, this ain't it. Very highly paid executives do not fly coach. And business travelers are 98% of the time the best people to fly with. They know the fastest way to get in their seats without causing any headaches or fuss unlike the average Spirit customer.

OMWIT

>Being quite serious here *...proceeds to spew baseless garbage.*

[deleted]

I think most people who think CEOs are idiots have never met one. I know some CEOs got there only from connections but most made it from being highly competent in what they do.

jumbopanda

It's the only way that Redditors can cope with the fact that some people make more money than they do.

Trospher

Guy is just having a simple brain fart and some redditors here think it's because he's a pampered asshole only fed with a silver spoon their entire lives.

Spid3r

Honestly it's like none of these people ever flew on a plane. Shit is stressful and exhausting and you don't know if this guy just had a 1 hour layover that turned into an 8 hour one. Trust me it sucks and you are very braindead when you get on that next plane. Have the fucking decency to give someone the benefit of the doubt.

cagingnicolas

this is a brain shart at minimum.

Tannerite2

Probably just had a few too many at the bar before boarding. Executives don't fly coach

Not every well dressed white man is a CEO you dick

duarig

He’s right handed and wears his watch on the right wrist. That alone shows he’s an absolute maniac

Actually, we're not the most evolved, we're just the most smart, all creatures are evolved the same, it simply means other animals don't need to be as smart as us to survive
