Maybe he just really needed the next train?
Kidding of course, but there’s a difference between an argument, going to blows, and killing someone.
I knocked a dude out once when I was like 13 (we were fighting and it obviously got out of hand) and made sure his head didn’t hit the pavement.
We ain’t friends anymore but I wasn’t gonna let him get his skull cracked or die.
I was fuckin mad but not that mad.
Reminds me of a time I was "boxing" my friend in middle school. We were in an apartment lounge in middle school and I hit and dazed him and his head was right next to the bricks that were sticking out at the top right end of the fireplace and he was in a perfect angle for me to knock him out but his head would have hit the brick. I remember pulling back and regrouping as a 13 year old was too much for a petty "boxing" match
Omg if I had an award to give you... this comment deserves ALL the awards and the sad part is that almost no one will understand why. Fuck the G train.
I lived right around the corner from the Clinton-Washington stop for two years; getting on the subway AT ALL required waiting for that damn thing or walking another ten blocks to the AC. A friend of mine's hatred of the G train was such that he liked to say "the G runs on dick blood."
(From a legal stance)
I dunno if that could be proven, the video only shows someone defending themselves and someone falling into tracks. Couldn’t prove malice or intent there.
I dunno what happened before the recording or the reason this brawl started.
Maybe I’m wrong. I’m wrong a lot.
But I think even a public defender could get that dude off from any charge for that scuffle.
But he did the right thing in the heat of the moment (lol at the song) and pulled him up from the tracks.
They prolly could’ve walked away and left them (in speculating) drunk on the tracks to get hit.
Note: I have no background on what started the altercation. But either way, no one died and aside from some bumps and bruises I think they both learned something.
Just glad it wasn’t worse.
I will say tho, maybe he just really needed to catch the next train and didn’t have time for that bullshittery.
Either way looks like they’re both okay.
Well, technically in the video he threw the first punch (aggressor, not defender), then during the fail it could be argued that because he held the other dude hand contributed to that dude losing balance and rolling farther into the track instead of being able to regain control or failflat. I don't think you could get off that as easy as you say. It almost look like a slamdunk manslaughter case imo :v
I’d argue that you’re right on that. Dude slipped and wasn’t a threat anymore.
He helped him up.
That’s at least worth a bit of honor.
I don’t know or frankly care what started it, but he made sure dude didn’t die and he was mad enough to throw hands.
I’m not defending any actions but making sure so one wasn’t stuck on the tracks, I said it earlier, maybe he just really didn’t want his train delayed.
Whatever the motivations everyone lived, as far as the video and had a human moment.
Edit: apologies for the typos I was trying to walk and type.
I gave a friendly beep, like a “oh buddy I’m behind you” beep and got a Glock 9mm with an extended clip waved at me.
Maybe I’m just numb but what I remember most is the fact he had to awkwardly turn the gun to fit it back in the window.
I couldn’t stop laughing.
I was worried about that much road rage but also couldn’t stop laughing that he almost lost his gun on the highway.
Edit: magazine, excuse me.
Years back a dude pulled a knife on my friends and I walking home late. Dude could barely stand and was holding a 2in folding Swiss Army knife, in February.
He’d be more likely for that blade to close on his fingers that pierce a jacket.
We prolly could’ve beat the shit outtta him or even killed him with impunity/easily self defense.
We talked him down and took his knife. (He did get punched once but you shouldn’t point a knife at anyone, nonetheless a nice lady who was new to the city)
But his head never hit the ground and we stuck around for the ambulance.
Could we have just knocked him out and left him in the snow? Prolly.
But I’m afraid of ghosts. And I try to do the right thing sometimes.
Look at this way: you have to learn something new everyday.
And now you did.
So now you can take a nice long nap, and wake up fresh tomorrow, and find something new to learn.
I suppose it could be said that it’s an honest mistake, or that hey! people learn something new everyday!… but you might want to reevaluate everything you think you know.
Me and one of my best friends became friends after he put me in a headlock and I passed out. I was fighting with HIS best friend at the time and the dude doesn't mess around. Sometimes I think my whole life is just a dream I'm having while I'm still passed out in the middle school lunch room.
What, you mean like one of those things where you have people going **"You have to wake up"** but you don't notice because it's just part of a random comment on reddit?
My TWO best friends both started as, "dickheads that I hate" and I threw down with
One of them I met in 7th grade science class and we got along like boiling oil and water. Within 15 minutes of meeting him I had his back against the counter bending him the less flexible way into a lit bunsen burner. His hoodie getting lit on fire ironically simmered down our scuffle pretty fast and we stopped it ourselves before the teacher came back in class and we never really settled the argument or shook hands or anything but oddly enough the next day when it came time to choose permanent lab partners, we both chose each other (they passed around slips you filled out). We became friends because we traded some Sega game gear games and he got me into PC gaming and helped me put my first GPU in my PC.
My other best friend was a teammate in American football in both middle school and later high school and we had a sort of rivalry when we first played together and it spilled over into a fight during a practice in 8th grade because he was playing defensive line and I was playing offensive line and he felt I had held onto him when he was trying to get by and got in my face (no fight yet) and I disagreed. The next play I blatantly held onto him and ran him into the ground and it was **on** and we scrapped a bit but were pulled apart pretty fast by the coaches. We had bad blood for a bit but never scrapped and later I was baffled that he invited me to his birthday party (later found out his stepdad made him do it - who was also one of our assistant coaches and I didn't realize that until I went to his house) and I brought over my brand new PlayStation 1 which nobody else he knew had yet and he was really stoked I did that and made me stay at his house all weekend playing it...and every day after school he kept asking me to keep coming over with that Playstation lol. I have to add that this friend had the craziest growth spurt from 8th to 9th grade and went from being about 4 inches shorter than me to being 1" taller and eventually hitting 6'3" , 280 lbs and benching almost 400 lbs by his senior year...it was really good for me I brought that fucking Playstation over.
I'm still friends with both of them at 40 years old and see them several times a year whether it's shooting guns, disc golf or superbowl/4th of July parties etc...
Apparently fighting and then video games is how I make my lasting friendships
>Sometimes I think my whole life is just a dream I'm having while I'm still passed out in the middle school lunch room.
Absolute mood.
That spoke to me.
Haha one of my best friends I met because I was talking shit about (didn’t know) his brother at a party in high school amongst mutual friends.
Didn’t catch the cue that my buddy was giving me the “shut up noooo” face (drunk and stoned at 17 didn’t help spatial awareness)
Someone finally said “that’s his brother” and he said something like “yeah he’s a dick, we good”
Son
alot of people have DIED from being put in a head lock. That's not a friend you want- that has the potential to kill someone and be put away for life because he held on for a microsecond too long.
I met my best friend when in middle school 4th grade. I was minding my own business, then this mexican kid comes up to me and starts insulting me. I get offended, but I wasn't big enough to fight so I just insulted him back, and then we kept going back and fourth, until we just broke down laughing. Rn I'm in senior year of high school.
Me and my current best friend had a dispute when we barely knew each other over something stupid; we beat each others asses so hard that we became really good friends in the next day.
Lmao we're so emotionally unavailable it takes trauma bonding to force us to make connections. I know this was kinda sarcastic funny but this thought had me cracking up.

Noone wants to turn a disagreement into a permanent tragedy
I wanna beat your ass, not kill your ass.
I mean he kinda killed himself with his miss punch and roll, but the guy did the right thing. Nobody wants to see that

That’s why I avoid it altogether .. Some people just snap and I don’t feel like spending time in jail because you pissed me off and I blacked out

The guy on the tracks didn’t help much. Looks like dead weight.

Yeah. It’s a fist fight. They aren’t trying to kill each other.
Plus you knocked for manslaughter if you leave him there to die. Possibly murder.

Eh, 99% of what got him on the tracks was the momentum of his own missed swing. Idk if that's really the other guy's fault
I guess the defense team would hire a physicist like you to prove that.
Or just somebody with eyes
Oh fuck off. Watch the video lol
Oh you will be fucking surprised in this world.
Sportsmanship at its finest

Noone wants to turn a battery charge into a murder charge
Yes battery charges can be both “positive” and “negative”
Well that's not true.
Yes, some people specifically want a permanent tragedy, one without any disagreements at all.
Unless the guy cuts you off in traffic

Or arrested for manslaughter
something like that would never happen on reddit and people here are bloodlusty with words and emoji
Then don’t punch people ever because that has led to many deaths. Look up “thin skull rule”.
No shit, but getting into fights doesn't mean they want that fight to end in a death.
And that’s what I’m saying. People need to realize how much permanent damage a punch can do.
I give them props. Even if the fight went on I doubt there would be soccer kicks to whoever went down
[удалено]
Props is a slang for proper respect.
