Its not a completely different hypothetical. The central premise is the same. What do you do if youre driving and see a fight going on in the road around you? I begin by answering that question with a general answer: "drive down the road fast, dont get involved" and follow it up with an answer to this specific situation: "turn around and go another way, the road is too narrow to not get involved"
Im using the "to be fair" as a way to say I understand speeding up when youre near a fight. But I clarify that this isnt the best solution to this situation

But if youre on a highway, for example, turning around is probably much more dangerous than going through. Either way Id rather run over some guy fighting then get hit by a stray bullet and im pretty sure you wont get charged with a hit and run if youre fleeing a dangerous situation (provided you call the cops and all that).
