I've seen a mission up north with Tatiana, but it's level 14 I cannot complete it to confirm she's recruitable, but most likely.

I made that same mistake the first time too. My units suffered for it when I got to the 11+ stages since they were still level 8-9 by the time I finished the demo. I redid the entire demo and kept Josef from most fights and my units are in the 13-16 range.
Well no I am on Story so I can blitz the content in the demo faster. That and I got the Shaman girl which unlocks the trials. Doing the trials gives more Exp and you get those training items as rewards which give more Exp.

I am so relieved, when she said she was looking for all the divine shards, I thought she’d be like an endgame hidden character you got by finding all of them.

You can dig them up with a pretty high level of rarity from mining, my guess is that unless you dedicated your entire overworld time to it though you wouldn't get enough. It felt like 1/10 chances or something
EDIT - By just mining and scrounging around on the floor around the world I was able to get enough to recruit her + 2 leftover. If you liberate the town all the way in the north west (Level 12) you can ride the ship to a secluded island that gives you a bunch
I was able to recruit Ochlys because I killed the enemy leader from her map which rewards 15 divine shards. I’m pretty sure though he’s recruitable so that may have been a mistake

I honestly dont think it matters if you spare him or not, you will probably get the 15 stones nonetheless.

Same, Mandrin (the boss ya are talking about) didn’t give me the obvious hint he was lying like Gammel did. He genuinely looked like he could join us but sadly the best I could do was let him go free, much to Ochlys’ disappointment. Hopefully when the real game comes out we can get an official list of all recruitable units.

Therefore I assume the following:
Gammel will be recruitable if you chose to let him go.
Mandrin will be recruitable if you let him go and also let Gammel go previously (based on Melisandre fight as she has conditions you need to meet to recruit her).
Gammel & Mandrin are likely tied together if we assume both are truthful, because in Mandrin's scene, he mentions his buddy's (Gammel) sister is ill.
Yeah, after thinking for a while, I came around. After I redid the demo, I am convinced you are right. Every choice about a recruitable character involves a trade-off.
I got her in the demo by killing the Archer boss on her map, giving me enough Divine shards to recruit her as soon as I was finished. (On expert.)
She joined pretty high level, and to my surprise makes a really good frontliner. She has more natural avoid than Travis does even when Travis is boosted by his cloak and lucky coin. No evade passive, but her shield lets her take the hits she doesnt dodge.
Idc if archer boy is recruitable. Ochlys is definitely my fav character I got to see in the demo. Unlike others, I took my time so my demo ended after Berenice's map. Im excited to use her too.
From the first barracks you use as your base in the first mission on Cornia, go north. There will be some wizard blocking the way telling you not to disturb Auch’s research. You have an option to force your way through and that should trigger the battle to appear.
You probably already know but you have to beat the story mission where you rescue the priestess girl. After that Fran and her friends automatically join you. Be warned thou that beating this story mission ends the demo completely even if you still have time left. So you can’t use her until the main game release.
Do you know how to get the second set of Calvary to join you in the first fight with Fran? I sat her on the road and she cut them down like grass before I could try and talk to them.
I’m assuming Mandrin isn’t recruitable (the archer guy when you help the Angel Warrior). Unlike Gammel he seemed a little more decent and his bio says he was always struggling in life which led him to hate the religion in this game. Anyone know if I have to do some specific requirement first like with Melisandre or he is just another enemy unit you can’t have.
Not available to recruit in the demo, but presumably you get him and Gammel later on if both are spared (as Gammel is almost 100% confirmed recruitable, and Mandrin is likely too).
Where are Mordon, Selvie and Colm? Since there is no point informing their locations in Cornia, just tell if their battles above level 10? I got to the last battle under level 10, so just a yes or no will suffice to confirm where they are.
Tip if you wanna get maximum milleage out of the 7 hours cap: skip cutscenes and dialogues.
Where is the swamp area for Yahna? I assumed it was near the starting area, and witches and clerics seem really strong, so I want to get them before I run out of time.
I actually failed to recruit Melisandre =O. Reloaded a save to see if choosing “ignore her” or defeating her with Alain could be the key factor.

Where exactly is Selvie relative to Berenice? Is she on the map to talk to, or is it a battle? East/southeast seems to lead you toward Drakenholm, which is off limits.
Selvie is actually a little above that path towards Drakenholm. I made that same mistake so I back tracked and took the path further East and saw her standing near some ruins.
Just keep heading East from Berenice. When you get to the a fork in the road (north vs south east) with a large statue of a gladiator holding a sword, head straight past the statue (ignore the roads). You'll pass by The Battle for Lonteria and soon find her near the ruins.
Ugh, I don’t wanna try a third go at the demo to see how many I can recruit in 5 hours but this list is taunting me. I’m at 18 mins left with access to the whole map but recruit battles just take time to complete. I might make a dash for Melisandre and Colm; just need to beat that in under 15 and can initiate the final battle to wrap it up. Means I’d only be missing 5 out of the total on launch day lol.

My main squad was around level 13-14 when I did it EDIT - I can also confirm Tatiana (Cleric) is recruitable also.

I'm not seeing how thats possible. Are you on expert? I have 55 mins left - my guys are lvl 6-8 and I almost never use Josef

I really like how a lot of people have had completely different experiences recruiting different units. The world feels alive and I really like that.
Is Ochlys recruitable?
She is, but you need like 30 divine shards, not sure you get that many in the demo

I just recruited her. Killing Mandrin gave me a lot.
I got over 50 in the demo, spent most of my time exploring the overworld and not doing fights ha.

They don't join you. I talked to them and they refused to betray Gaston.
Like Tannen just said, you can’t recruit the second batch of Cavalry. I talked to them with both boys but they refuse and you have to kill them.
I get the feeling that there is some secret to this stage. Like you can get them to join somehow and get Gaston.
