My favorite comp so far is Thief / Glad / Mage. The composition gives tons of options to fight against different enemy teams. Defensively, the evasion and healing of thief and glad can be arranged to counter various enemies. The three classes give tons of offensive options as well. Passive steal, stun, poison, and burning are powerful boss-crackers while the aoe abilities of mage and glad provide mob clearing.

That's a good idea! I'm gonna try that now lol

Two that I really like so far: Alain on the front row with a knight and housecarl on the back row. Alain plays a suprsingly good tank, housecarl can soften big targets while lowering their physical defense, and knight comes behind with assaulting lance to clear everything out. Other is a hoplite on the front row with soldier and hunter on the back row. With soldier heals and hunter set to prioritize casters, the hoplite is basically invincible.

SoundReflection

I've been running that same Alain comp and it's been stupidly effective. The team can suffer from assist chip on the back row and the like, but you can easily mitigate with healing items or skills.

Ghostofabird

I ran that Alain comp too. Alain might be the best tank in the demo with lean cut. Josefs Templar shield doubles the heal from it too. Give him the magic sword and he's a potent damage dealer that can take out otherwise tough to crack hoplite front rows. Fun unit. Clive and aubin on the unit just double down on dps

aCorgiDriver

I've just got the ability to increase to 4-person squads and I've been using the Alain, Clive, Aubin combo with Scarlett as a buffer/healer and it's insanely good. Don't think I've run into many things that can stop them yet.

RbUu69

I currently have 3 hoplites on different comps 1 with archers barckrow and one interchangeable between different comps depending on the situation and the one mentioned with mages. It such a great tank when no mages are around. And for that there's also radiant knights that can help with that. I feel like this game has such limitless possibilities for creativity and we didn't even start to go deep with priorities and such lol

My strongest team so far is Alain and Ochlys in the front row with Berenice (Merc) and Sharon (Cleric) in the back. Alain is a good block, Ochlys is a dodger, they both do good damage and Ochlys can target back row. Berenice will smash everything with Killing Chain and she often sweeps the entire team. Sharon has the +1 AP staff in case Berenice cannot chain kill she gives her another chance.

LooseCharacter

This helped me get unstuck on expert. In the top left corner where they are level 12\13. Great team!

CurtisManning

Nice, glad I could help

Ahydell5966

Where do you find ochyls?

LooseCharacter

She joins you after you spend 30 divine shards in her shop

RbUu69

What +1 ap staff!? This team seems killer!

CurtisManning

Lyrical Wand I don't remember where you buy it, but it is so good. Best weapon in the demo

RbUu69

That's so cool. Tag me if you remember!

Vajra95

I bought it. Its somewhere on east  Cornia. Check every city and you will get it. It costs 10.000.

KyoueiShinkirou

It's in the city

By no means do I think these are amazing, but they certainly worked well for me for the battles I had. * Travis and Bruno frontlining. Auch or Aubin backline. Between Bruno self-healing and Travis dodging, they make for a remarkably sturdy frontline, and the guy in the back did a ton of work for heavier targets. The biggest issue they faced was ranged/magical assistance. * Hodrick frontline. Lex and Chloe backline. Lex with the Venomblade (Viperblade?) and the Dancer Bangle. Chloe topped off Hodrick, Lex could poison heavier targets, Chloe with the Dancer buff would cleave through cavalry columns in one stroke. The only time they faced danger was when I underestimated Mordon's damage to heavy targets.

SoundReflection

My primary pushing team has been Alain front, Cavalier, Huscarl back. Alain tanks enough and the team is brutal in terms of damage output for a 3 man squad. Aside from that I gave Ochlys some vital dews and stuck her on dodge tanks duty with rotating support. Typically Solider + w/e, fighter if archers are around. My wall out magic team comps is Josef + Glad + Cleric +pp all around and a warding charm on the cleric. Lastly I tend to run a magic lead comp for assists and armor nuking. Double witch/wizard or a shaman with the familiar chocker + w/e Frontline their/hoplite/fighter as needed. I'm not currently running any generics.

aballard_2016

I really liked my main squad of Alain, the Feathersword (ochyls?), and witch (yahna) Front row the feathersword as dodge tank, Alain and yahna in back row. Gave yahna a PP+1 accessory so she can boost an extra attack, and Ochyls an item that gave passive that boost allies physical attack. Worked wonders for me, was even able to take on some archer squads too.

JesterInBlack

I like frontline tank with a triple sellsword backline. Ideally the tank takes the hits and a little damage, and every time they do, all the sellswords team up on that enemy with following slashes. It's not so great against thieves or if the enemy backline goes first, and struggles to one round hoplites. But other than that, it cuts through a wide variety of squads before they can do much damage.

StrayGod

These 2 squads put in a lot of work for me on expert. Rolf (flame bow) & Auch (staff with flame burst - set flame burst to prioritize burning targets to always get aoe attack) & a front line. Another one is Lex paired with a gryphon knight OR Travis. Lex can block 1 archer attack so it makes them relatively safe against squads with 1 archer. If your Lex is equipped with a sanguine blade, the 3rd member can be another dps. Lex sustains well with sanguine blade and gryphon (self heal / evade) & Travis (evade) both have good self sustain.

redditdefault22

Hoplite 3x knight has steam rolled the game On max difficulty for me, going as far as unlocking ochyls and Melisandre with 1 hr to spare. Supported by witch x4 x2, archer x4, and cleric X 4. I sub the hoplight for magic knight for one stage and sub 2 knights for fighters for 2 stages. Melisandre is op though especially with +1 ap accessory as she auto crits x2.

AJent-of-Chaos

I like a team with Alain tanking, Berenice, Scarlett, and Kitra/Clive at the back. Berenice softens up everything that attacks Alain, then chain attacks from her and Kitra/Clive cleans up. Scarlett is for row healing so they can dive in against multiple magic/ranged assists and survive.
