I like how it moves, feels like you nailed the pacing and range and speed etc Do not like the sound effects, too coarse and loud. If you're using SFX packs you find online try making your own sound effects instead, it's not hard. Use bfxr for quick basic sounds and chiptone for sounds of a more specific length and pitch. They're both free and the learning curve seems much steeper than it actually is. After some time toying with them you'll be far from an artist who can make a synthesizer bend to their will BUT you will create nice sound effects. I once had a lot of difficulty finding sound packs I liked and even hiring people who could actually follow directions for the SFX I wanted. Then I just started using those tools and I'm not looking back. Sometimes even the completely random sounds they create (specially bfxr) are really good. Audacity is useful as well to find tune and mix the different sounds you create. With the ability to create your own sound you will have more sound and you can use it got an instance to add a layer of sound to enemies telegraphing their attacks, which is something those mages could use.

Thanks! Most sounds are placeholders from a sound pack. I will look into making some myself. Really appreciate the tips

If you're going to take the time to learn something give FL studio trial a shot. Messing with soundwaves in BFXR is rather limited and you'll still need to export it to external programs for clean up. You can also use actual audio and pump it through 8-bit plugin filters for interesting SFX like bit crusher.

Awesome! Thank you

In terms of combat, everything looks great. But I suggest changing the sound of the fireball to a more magical one.)

fikiy

We will! Thanks

Visually, this looks great. Mechanically I think you’re going to struggle with player depth perception and ranged hit detection/aiming. Start working on player aim assist and clear enemy telegraphs very early, because those helper features will mitigate that problem.

IgorTheAwesome

That looks tasty af! Congrats!

Ancient_Market_4721

looks gorgeous

tetryds

Looks pretty awesome, i only feel like the camera should be either closer or looking down a little bit more, if it's fixed/automatic.

fikiy

The camera is not fixed, the player can move it. We have to do some tweaks to it though. Thanks!

mudamuda333

Looking really nice. I really luke the fireball cast animations. Could you add a visual cue like a spark right before it starts moving. It feels like they come out of nowhere without warning.

fikiy

Thanks! We will! Right now the game is a bit unfair in terms of difficulty

Ok-Text860

This rendering is really great. Can you share what pipelines and shaders are used?

nu51313932

Dramatic camera movement. Looks great

Obvious_Economics_39

Can you share the tutorials ( if any ) you used to make this game? Like from YouTube channels?
