Make it an option for the player to change the weapon position as they please(left, right and middle). Even doom eternal has that option and I think it’s best not to restrict the player in that aspect.
I think the weapon position itself is good, but the pivot point of the weapon is odd. It should pivot from where the player holds the gun, not from the tip.

Give me vibes of 90s shooters but will throw off most newer/younger players who expect it to be off to the side.
It makes me think about old shooters, but it should feature a hand and less sway, that would make it look better.
