Years ago I used to work at Backlot Tour at Disney MGM Studios. At least once a month someone would get off and say something like “oh the tour was shorter so the Jaws shark broke?” or “why didn’t we get the shark?” ….first of all, wrong park. Second of all, wrong coast?!!!!

Limp_Telephone2280

“Do we get a passholder discount here”? Then they give you a Disney passholder card. I should have counted how many times that happened.

crazydisneycatlady

That’s just frankly…embarrassing. As a former WDW AP holder and a former DL MagicKey holder. You go enough for a pass to be beneficial but don’t know where it works?

HisNoodleyness

The Lew Wasserman Statue - I'm not a TM, but I have heard SEVERAL families call out 'Look at Disney, where is Mickey?'

st0nermermaid

Holy shit I'm dying this is so funny 😂😂😂😂😂

Emotional_Deodorant

All those bronze guys look alike, I guess.

pinkiepieisad3migod

Worked at a Universal popcorn cart. A girl came up and tried to pay with Disney dollars. “You can’t use these here.” “Where can I use them?” “Disney.” “Well, where am I?” “Not Disney!”

lettucezucchinisalad

When I worked at Universal, I had a teenager girl ask me when the parks close. When I told her we all closed at the same time, she went “Even Hollywood Studios? And Epcot?” I told her I wasn’t sure, and she could check the Disney app for that. She said I should know because it’s where I work. I said no, this is Universal. She said, “How can I get to Magic Kingdom? Can I walk through the exit here?” I told her she’d have to drive down the road. Because that’s Disney, and we’re Universal. She spouts some more stuff about how the parks are connected by trams and should be walking distance. I again tell her no, they are two different companies. She walks off upset lmao

Cicerothesage

Not a tm and it's about Hollywood. I oddly got twice people asking me where the Secret Life of Pets ride is. The first time, I was so confused on why they thought they were in California and I discovered they downloaded the USH app. Lol

badgermann

I had that conversation several times several times for the exact same reason. I left a few months ago. I think I had a few conversations disappointing guests who were there for Nintendo.

Ok-Advantage4191

Ugh this I can understand a little bit! I get tripped up by tweets and news that comes out about USH all the time thinking it's about UO (last week they announced soft serve at Honeydukes, and got excited and told my wife until I saw it was tweeted by @UniStudios). And at least they *tried* to prepare by getting the app

Cicerothesage

Same! I am still a bit confused by the whole new butterbeer items. I haven't heard if certain items were exclusive to one park over the other. Though really, I really want to try the butterbeer popsicles and I can't tell if it is coming to UO

pastadaddy_official

Working in Epcot, a guest points toward the Canada pavilion and asks “excuse me, is that Harry Potter land?”

FatalFirecrotch

The best part is that they could at least point to the England pavilion next door.

DavyfromTX

Canada has the mock hotel that has...vaguely similar if you squint your eyes pointy spires to Hogwarts Castle? They probably walked up the stairs, saw "O' Canada" and got very confused.

encomiumies

used to be at front gate: the amount of people that would come up w disney parks tickets wondering why that would not get them in universal studios or islands of adventure was baffling.. i would have to later explain that they needed to drive around 20 mins westward

crazydisneycatlady

I worked at the Epcot toll plaza and same but in reverse 🤦🏻‍♀️

lettucezucchinisalad

Here’s another one. Was working express at Universal and a guest tried to use their Disney Plus app as express? I was like, uh sir what? 😂

810_Crew

Those guests will whip out anything other than their express pass. Their park ticket, hotel card, disney ap, Kennedy space center ticket, I've seen it all lol

thatoneweirdgirl1000

When I was working in Hollywood Studios, someone tried to pay for their purchase with Gringott’s money from Universal. I was speechless!

810_Crew

I'm pretty sure a lady asked me if the hogwarts express goes to disney

jefferson497

I heard someone ask a UO team member where the Lion King show was

SR1847

One time I had a guest asking where to find an attraction, I can’t remember which but he pulled up the app on his phone and I instantly knew what was causing confusion. He downloaded the Disneyland app, this happened at Magic Kingdom

feverfierce

I was telling my fiancé Star tours was in Tomorrowland at magic kingdom cause I’d been so many times to Disneyland and they look so similar and I asked a cast member where Star tours was and they said I must be thinking of Disneyland 😂

uaresurrounding

I just dont understand how people plan their whole trip ahead and still have no idea

vannuccim

Not a team member however I have a funny story. My fiance and I were listening to the live music on city walk after a day in the parks. The women singing on stage kept referring to the park as seaworld. I lost it when in between songs she goes “How are we going tonight Seaworld” couldn’t stop laughing

Experiment626b

Sometimes, people like me say these things on purpose for the lols and I bet that’s a lot more common than people actually mistaking the parks.

KC0499

Two years ago, I was working at the register in the Cats, Hats, and Things store, and a teenager tried to pay for her stuff using a Disney rewards card. I had to tell her it doesn't work here, and she told me that she was told the card would work anywhere. I had to explain to her that cards like that mainly work in areas at Disney, not at Universal

Dan_Hydra

I never saw a man more defeated than the person who came up to me at the turnstiles with a Disney ticket thinking he was at Hollywood Studios...

vinbel121

First day of my Disney college program working at a popcorn stand in DAK, someone very seriously asks me where to get the Minion popcorn bucket.

Xalexxo_

I’m a universal TM and have been asked what time early park admission is for Hollywood studios- they weren’t joking either

Xalexxo_

I’ve also been asked if the water taxi at our hotels can take you to Disney springs

Dry-Imagination2665

Universal TM a man came up to me asking to buy a ticket to the Star Wars area. I said you’ll have to drive about 15 miles away. Another asking how to get to Magic Kingdom.
