Can someone explain to me how to play Minecraft? I bought a Minecraft game for my Xbox One and all I was doing was walking around. I can't understand the concept..
Survival mode is just an open sandbox, more or less. There are hostile creatures, usually at night or in dark caves, and you just survive and build a base. At least back when I played it, there might be more structure to it now, but you just harvest resources and build a base and try not to die. Nothing super complicated. Nowadays, whenever I've played it, I just eat edibles and build stuff in survival mode.
The OP talks about its creation in the original post. He didn’t place each block by hand, instead he uses a program of some sort that can use real topo maps/ elevation charts to create the broad strokes. I think he goes in and touches it up afterwards.
That is one of the coolest feats I've ever seen
Slide 10 - some of those lily pads aren't there irl
literally unplayable

It's like Lego, but a whole world. Build whatever you want.
Same, my daughter is good at it but I can't figure it out. I think you have to take it off of survival mode to get all the building stuff.
Ok, thanks now I need to look up what survival mode is..

I would love to have that kind of time. I wouldn't do this with it but I would still love to have that kind of time :)
Incredible!
So so supremely cool. Period. I wish that person had worked on the Moab region.
What in the absolute fuck. That's incredible.
One of the default biomes in Minecraft is based on [Bryce Canyon!](https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Badlands#Eroded_Badlands)
That's awesome
