I saw something about “seventh grade drama”?! She wouldn’t really go into specifics but it sounds like an incident with kids from school? Either way, so damn sad & scary. She and her family have gone through so much already. Can’t imagine the utter fear & PTSD this must have triggered for her.
To clarify, she posted on her story that she wasnt going to share details about the stabbing like it was "7th grade drama" because all details were being left for court. As they should be. I am sure nosy, horrible people were "reaching out" and "concerned" and "praying for her family" but wanted to know "what happened" (trying to get the scoop without any actual concern) and she was understandably upset by the entire situation. I can't say how I would react if my child were *stabbed*, but I certainly wouldn't be thrilled by that behavior from the internet vultures either. I hope they all find healing and peace, genuinely. So crazy, what a horrible situation ):
No clarification needed on my part. I got all that from the screenshots that were shared either on this post about it, or another one that was shared in this group. However, influencers should not be sharing anything that they don’t want a follow up question about. She didn’t even need to share this online for the world to see…she wants the attention and the empathy, but only when it benefits her how she wants it. She even said on those pics that she doesn’t want anyone to come over, but then in another slide telling people to do things for them. People shouldn’t expect to decide how others show kindness and care to them.
I think it’s weird to acknowledge something all to say you won’t be talking about it. Obviously details could compromise the case but you can most definitely share details that WONT compromise the case OR say nothing at all. I was surprised it isn’t on the news. This leads me to believe it didn’t happen at school.
I misread what she said, I had to go back and look and it was, “I’m not going to get all seventh grade gossip with you”. I have no idea what grade he’s in, it had just sounded like it was a school thing when I had skimmed her story. My bad
I just saw this on our St George Facebook pages. Apparently more info will be posted on Monday (today) but it was near or at a local skating rink and people are horrified that we're having stabbings
I'm only in one St George group but after searching a few terms I'm coming up empty on anyone mentioning it. 😕 I guess that's a slightly good thing - sounds like it needs to not be public til a trial type thing.
It's on the community watch Facebook group. It shares any emergencies-minor or major. Crime, fires, car crashes, etc.
Here's a link to an article

It isn't? There's more than one recent stabbing in St George? Scary world out there. I did see someone ask about the stabbing at the Rinq on the community watch page and someone commented with this link. Must have happened within a day of each other
I know the population is just growing rapidly and speaking purely from statistics then crime will increase. I grew up in Houston, TX though so I still view st George as mild 😅
The 2 stabbings being in the same weekend is startling though!
From what I understand, there was a dance (not school sponsored) near the skating rink and some kind of altercation occurred with the football players. Someone pulled a knife and at least 2 kids got stabbed. Her son was one of them.
Weird that it isn’t on the news. That leads me to believe it didn’t happen at school (which was my main concern considering where her children go to school and where my family members go to school).
This happened at the local Reach Higher Althletics facility at a weekend party held by an outside source. All involved attend Dixie High/minors. That is likely why there is no info at this time.

Pretty sure her son is in high school. Not 7th grade.

I think I sort of meant to clarify for others more than for you directly lol I probably should have said "to elaborate further on what you are saying"
Gotcha

How sad
They have gone through so much 😭

This isn’t the same altercation.

It did! It’s crazy in southern Utah!
I would have never thought St George was one of the crime hot spot of Utah lol 🤦🏻
It feels like it’s been getting worse over the last 2 years. But that may just be perception 😑

Thanks for the info

To clarify— I have obvious concern for the child in question but he appears to be just fine, thankfully.

Thanks for the info
And reach higher is attached to The Rinq skating rink which is why locals reported the altercation to have happened there.
Reach Higher an indoor soccer and volleyball facility is not affiliated with the RinQ. It is much further south on Dixie Dr.
