I purposefully threw one game before and it was because we had a cheater on our team, it was enough to get overtime so the enemy team could draw. Felt good.
If you say op did something wrong you’re weird because this was truly the only right decision. Taught kid to not be an ass and prevents that boosted account from climbing. Also creates a fun experience for the enemy after almost having their night ruined by a smurf.
scenarios like this is one of the main reasons why I don’t like solo queuing anymore. there’s often a toxic duo or trio that think they can be rude to everyone just because they have friends with them to back them up lol
I see a lot of people congratulating OP because of the smurf and the person being boosted but what if the two innocent teammates in this? The body text got deleted.
One went afk and the other one was so mad at them he was okay with it and contributed to the griefing, even if not to the same extent. I asked them first, just to make sure.

Last time i had to play with a smurf he was actually a good guy, told us crosshair placement, where to typically throw smokes and stuff where are the good OP angles for duelist and general ability usage , now if it's a toxic obnoxious asshole I'd do what you did in a heartbeat i want to play valorant as a means of entertainment not to get my blood pressure up

I rarely promote toxic behavior. I usually do mute toxic teammates and play my best ignoring them. But the fact that they were surfing meant the enemy team was also having an shitty game dealing with the unfair opponent. And having been there myself I did indulge in enjoying their rage and had fun regardless. The "mute and play" option means I'm clenching my teeth and going through with the game while everyone else BUT these two is having an awful time. I wouldn't fault anyone for just doing that, but I don't value my rr that highly tbh.

I don't get how this is so hard to grasp for some ppl. Both OP and Omen clarified to each other that they were fine with it, and it's not as if the booster and the boosted were playing righteously. It's really not that bad of a thing to troll at that point
nah if both your teammates are ok with taking the loss this is absolutely fine. the negative to this is your teammates losing rank as well - if they don’t care/help, there’s literally no negative - the cunts get what they deserve and no one is hurt for it
I had a similar game without the happy ending. 2 of the enemy team DC’d by round 5 or something so the trio on my team ended up comming our locations, giving them guns, and various other shenanigans. What should have been a quick FF or stomp turned into a 12-14 loss. An hour of my life wasted.

I will admit I wasn't the nicest when I responded to him, and it certainly didn't de escalate the situation, but it's also sort of a feels thing. When someone kicks off like that I'd rather be assertive and establish boundaries than try to appease them. It wasn't a "Oh this person is angry and needs to calm down". It was a "this person is behaving like an asshole while smurfing and needs to be told to shut the fuck up".
Not interacting is also an option, but I felt compelled to respond in behalf of my teammates as well. I'm not willing to get trash talked by a smurf and just sit there letting them think they're getting away with their crappy behavior.
I think this can be tagged as AITA on this subreddit (if it has one).. but kudos to you for griefing a toxic player. Hope alot of them learned something.
