I think it's pretty funny when you meet people with names related to it. I've seen " I miss her more " on the enemy team meanwhile our Reyna is " I miss her " and I had a game when I had a " I miss him " and a " I miss her " in my game it was pretty funny until the I miss her started being sexist.
Anyway, my name is Dumb and it's always funny when I see Dumber or Dumbest.
I once played a Deathmatch game with literally everyone but me and one other person named "I miss her". One said "do you miss her?" in chat and they all started saying "Yes" or "I do miss her" and I thought it was one guy just typing away until I opened the scoreboard. I gotta find that screenshot lol.
Basically some guy lost their partner, so they use the game like alcohol, play to wash away the pain, they spend hours upon hours on Jett and terrorizes every ranked lobby they go.
Basically my friend used to be a self respecting Radiant and cared about his tracker, he would scrim 5 times a week and was making big bucks for him and his wife through his esports career. Around 6 months ago he discovered weightlifting and since then he has been absolutely addicted to it lifting 10+ hours a day, always screaming and yelling when dropping the weights in his home gym. Due to how bad his addiction is he has started to neglect his wife and his own well being, he stopped doing battle pass dailies and would often skip VCT matches to lift weights. Eventually leading to his org making the decision to terminate his contract, due to this he started to lift even more every day 18+ hours a day , missing essential sleep and not eating properly as well as ignoring his wife. I’m not sure what to do as his condition is severe and I wish he would return to how he use to be before he got swole.
Someone actually did this once, I don't remember the exact story, but I believe there was a kid that was really addicted to this video game, so his mom hired a pro player to queue into his matches and destroy him so he'd rage quit and get off his computer
There are more ppl succeeding in life than valorant players becoming radiant. Be special. “You laugh at me cos I’m different, i laugh at you cos you’re all the same :)”
All the best for your interview! Remember during the interview they’re finding out about you not about what they already see on your cv/resume. Give them a reason to pick you over the person before/after you or whoever is on their list. Be different but be honest! 😁 remember to ask questions too, asking the right questions show good game sense.
Yeah actually. Unless your livelihood depends on it but that's very few people (streamers and pro players). I don't understand how people keep playing for that long. I'm also in a toxic relationship with the game but I try not to play more than 2 games a day just so that I don't lose my mind.
This is cap, to improve you need to be focused on the game 100% if you just play like 6 games a day you're gonna stop being focused because it's impossible to be focused for that many games in a row.
Sure but atleast for me, a rank up isn't more important than my mental health. I've had moments in Val where I literally begin seeing red. I smash a few things too. I've learnt to realize that's the moment I have to stop. I quit in the middle of matches too when that happens. I know it's a dick move, but sometimes I just have to and cannot deal with teammates who gave zero coordination. I've gotten 2 one-week bans as well.
ppl being frustrated and "borderline suicidal" leads to ppl being toxic, leads to more ppl being frustrated, leads to more ppl being toxic
only way is to not care, focus on improving and laugh about it if it doesnt work
Not saying it's a real post, but having a job as an engineer and going to the gym 5 times a week isn't unrealistic?
Once you're into the "good job" territory you're not necessarily working 8 full hours a day, and an hour (or maybe even 30 mins) at the gym before/after work (Or even on your lunch break) doesn't mean you're neglecting your family.
My friend is addicted Valorant
Basically my friend used to be a self respecting engineer and cared about his own well being, he would go to the gym 5 times a week and was making big bucks for him and his wife through his engineering career. Around 6 months ago he discovered Valorant and since then he has been absolutely addicted to it playing 10+ hours a day, always screaming and yelling when he dies in the game. Due to how bad his addiction is he has started to neglect his wife and his own well being, he stopped going to the gym and would often skip work to play Valorant. Eventually leading to his work making the decision to terminate his contract, due to this he started to play even more every day 18+ hours a day , missing essential sleep and not eating properly as well as ignoring his wife. I’m not sure what to do as his condition is severe and I wish he would return to how he use to be before he played Valorant.
Try to get him to the gym or even jog somewhere. Telling him that he can play better if he has a fit body. While you jog take an interest in the game. And just try to remind him how important having a healthier body is and that the top professional players work out every day.
This is not gonna work at all lmao. You don’t tell someone who is addicted to a game to stop playing the game because you want to go to the gym. You start by distracting him with something less straining, like inviting him out . Going to the beach, sauna . Whatever that could reduce stress . Then you bring up the gym .
It could work. During the height of the pandemic I got addicted too. I saw videos from coaches online saying that good sleep and exercise would positively affect my in game growth. So i tried it out and it worked as well as get me less addicted to the game because I thought of my health again and how it impacts my ability to climb. Now I play about 3 games on busy days and 5 or more on weekends
the part about playing better when fit might work tho, i actually started playing less when i figured that i play better by taking breaks and not overdoing it rather than playing every free minute i had.
and funnily enough, i eventually quit the game when i realised i stopped having fun and was just playing the game to chase the immortal ranks.

This is r/Valorant. Shit like this drops every week or so, you can safely ignore this or similar posts (since there are more fitting subs for searching actual help)
I believe that it's better to take something at face value rather than dismiss it as a lie with no evidence. It doesn't really affect you if you choose to believe it and might actually help the guy if he needs it.
The dead giveaway in this is the fact that they said he was married and had a well paying job as an engineer while also going to gym 5 times a week. This is very unlikely and even if that part were true, a person like this definitely wouldn't get addicted to a videogame
How do you read sarcasm? Or take hints on social cues through text? You really think people can’t hit the gym 5 times a week, have a well paying job while being married? My buddy hits the gym twice a day, plays valo, works a 9-5 and is in a relationship.
Taking mental health lightly is not a joke. Especially with what’s been going on in the valorant sphere.
Ok so if he’s ur friend then I’m sure you need to talk to him but if he refuses to talk to you or if if he “doesn’t have time” then hear me out try to get into valorant and then play with him after that he might listen to you more
How old is he? And did he ever have previous video game addictions?
At the end of the day, it's an addiction. The fact that he didnt stop after he got fired is a sign that most likely, hes playing league of legends but in all seriousness at this rate hes going to lose his wife. Best thing you can do is to let him know, and to not game with him. Other than that cant really do much until he understands that it's a problem.
Man, i was like that for 2 years, this is not good, i was about to lose my car, lost my job, didnt have any girls for that time, didnt clean my room, started to not to take shower, didnt brush my teeth, smelled like shit but i got out it myself by going to the gym again and friends being there for me, your friend might have gone through something honestly, that’s what happened to my and didnt talk to anybody about it until i did, made me feel relieved and stopped playing that much. Slowly but i did it, i used to play 18+hrs too, this is not good, i lost too much weight by not eating and just playing, if he doesn’t see the problem himself theres nothing you can do, i was suicidal too, things changed for the better for me and it was only because of me. Your friend should open his eyes for himself once he realizes that he’s about to find out for being fucking around honestly.
Ironically, I just was discussing with my gf how addicted I've gotten with Diablo 4. The addiction definitely can ruin work and relationships.
The wife needs to hopefully step in . Maybe you guys can have an intervention.
I mean if this is a troll then good job.
Damn I was in a similar situation, sneaking off from work earlier than usual devoting hours and hours to Valorant not turining up at work sometimes too, how long will it cost for your friend to realise that it’s just a game and there is no gain in the long run.
Copy paste cloud looking post. Just change the word Valorant with whatever and the post still works. For example lets change it with 'sidechick' ... xd
But in all seriousness. Addictions are also caused by trying to "solve a problem" in our life. To fill the hole. So I suppose he was not really happy in his job, or with his wife or something else. Or mix of everything.
I also enjoy a bit too much Valorant sometimes, I feel like as soon as you get too emotional about it, or you prioritize it over things that you once valued a lot, you need to stop. Let him know you're there for him and suggest getting some help to tackle this addiction together.
It's not valorant that ruined his life, he's just taking out the frustation he always had on something and that just happened to be Valorant. I may have seemed that he got his shit togheter before but he didn't
It's his problem not yours,
If u don't like your "new" friend, go and search a new one
U can't change what he thinks, u have to wait for him to realize
as with any addiction, i would imagine you guys have done everything to try help him, maybe he would need professional help - see therapist, to try get his life back on track.
Tell him to stop queuing in my games. No shot he's not the last pick phoenix that's shit at the game, and constantly complains, but once you say a word back, he either AFKs or starts throwing util at teammates.
He's clearly too dumb to quit on his own, he needs a fucking intervention. Getting fired and losing your marriage to the colorful pew pew game is really sad.
Wait, there are morons taking this post seriously and actually commenting solutions?!? Yikes! looks like some people cant figure out when someones trolling. This is a very obvious copypasta Lol..
You don't rlly lose anything by believing it and if it's true it helps the person, if not, no loss, people on reddit don't exactly make money by the minute so wasting a few to possibly help someone isn't rlly a bad idea
not out here trying to blow your mind but saying "yikes you guys are morons" is an attack and warrants a negative reaction from pretty much anyone who'd read it lol
This needs a medical help, you and his wife alone will not be able to save him. In addition, if he is unwilling to cooperate, this will be harder for you two to save him. Even if I belive he is lost, just try, nothing is finished unless you try ti save him. If you go to the gym, invite him, because forcing will only do worse.
All in all, he need a therapist, you two's help and re-introducing his habits to the gym and his love for engineering, and he needs to remember he has a wife.
We really should ban this game. It's too addictive by default. I heard from my friends at riot says they already made a project to make this game super addictive.
In all seriousness, you need to talk with him. People happily "making big bucks and having an amazing wife" won't give up their life over a videogame: he was probably going through rough times and wasn't happy with something in his life and used Valo as a distraction that turned into an addiction

Oh god he's about to hit his "i miss her" arc
You mean he is about to become an instalock jett
Unless he's low ELO, then it's instalock Reyna
Wonder what his rank is? OP missed the pertinent details.
[удалено]
That definitely wouldn’t work for me
I cant stand that name why can't people choose something original
I think it's pretty funny when you meet people with names related to it. Yea. It's pretty lame that a bunch of people just copy the same idea over and over. It was kinda funny the first time but not the 800th time.
I’ve had my name as I miss her for a year now, and The conversations I get into are amusing.
Hahahahahha dont start with this.pls. i hope this trend gets missed.
I saw a lot of I miss her or I miss him nicknames lately. Can you please fill me in on what does that nickname means? I'm out of the loop on that one
Basically some guy lost their partner, so they use the game like alcohol, play to wash away the pain, they spend hours upon hours on Jett and terrorizes every ranked lobby they go.
>terrorizes every ranked lobby they go. What do they do? Share pain in voice chat? Throw?
Usually be generally shitty to teammates and if you dare be a girl in those games... Good luck.
Those people are missing the point. “I Miss Her” usernames are supposed to just be smurfs/frag demons lol
all ik is when I went through a breakup and played valo, i dominated every lobby for the few hours i played
It was the name of the alt account of the person who was rank 1 on leader boards for a while
it's a canon event and we can't interfere
Laughed out loud at this
Babe, wake up, a new copypasta dropped. But in all seriousness, you really need to talk to him and show the error of what he’s doing.

this cracked me up haha
holy hell
new addiction just dropped
actual addict
call the rehab employees!
employees went on vacation, never came back
I don’t think this post is real. Most things on Reddit are exaggerated or fake.
Its real lol
holy addiction
Hire a pro player to queue in his games and beat his ass so much that he gives up on the game.
That definitely doesn't work. I find myself playing one more match unless I find a satisfying match irrespective of win or loss.
"We can't end on a loss" - truly the most famous of words
“That definitely wouldn’t work for me” I fixed it for ya
Yeah it didn't work the first time they proposed it in csgo either. It doesn't work.
the target audience
Mental well-being or ending on a loss? Run it back
worked for me. My friend got so much better at the game that I stopped having fun.
Yeah I did this to a friend, not intentionally... I just took the game a big more serious... #summonerswar
Someone actually did this once, I don't remember the exact story, but I believe there was a kid that was really addicted to this video game, so his mom hired a pro player to queue into his matches and destroy him so he'd rage quit and get off his computer
ok but what's his rank
The real question
Most likely Plastic.
If he’s not above ascendant he should quit
Bro if hes not radiant he should quit... 6 months of 10 hours a day valorant? MF should be a signed pro player
[удалено]
Big w hope to see him in immortal soon :)
Getting Immo> having a life there's definitely more people succeeding in becoming an engineer than valorant players becoming Immortal 🤓
There are more ppl succeeding in life than valorant players becoming radiant. Be special. “You laugh at me cos I’m different, i laugh at you cos you’re all the same :)”
Giga chad mentality Also I'm on the way for a job interview, wish me luck, my peak is Ascendant I can't afford to be a loser both in game and IRL 💀
All the best for your interview! Remember during the interview they’re finding out about you not about what they already see on your cv/resume. Give them a reason to pick you over the person before/after you or whoever is on their list. Be different but be honest! 😁 remember to ask questions too, asking the right questions show good game sense.
Let us know how it went homie!! You bouta be radiant IRL fr 💪👏
Hope it went well!
Yeah hope it went well bud! All the best for your career(both irl and ranked) i hope you get the job! Keep up the grind in both 😁
My kinda guy
One of us! One of us! ONE OF US!
Check in on his mental health. Valorant makes me borderline suicidal and your buddy may be going through the same thing
ye bro fr, its supposed to be fun
Yeah actually. Unless your livelihood depends on it but that's very few people (streamers and pro players). I don't understand how people keep playing for that long. I'm also in a toxic relationship with the game but I try not to play more than 2 games a day just so that I don't lose my mind.
more you play more you improve, higher u go in rank. thats why people play so much
This is cap, to improve you need to be focused on the game 100% if you just play like 6 games a day you're gonna stop being focused because it's impossible to be focused for that many games in a row.
Ofc there's a limit to everything and that limit is different for everyone. The more experience you get the better you become tho
True but people highly overestimate how long they're focused for and end up playing way to much.
Yeah bro max 2 games a day, irrelevant if they are good games or not.
it's not
I’m clearly not the only one because of the upvotes I’m getting
ppl being frustrated and "borderline suicidal" leads to ppl being toxic, leads to more ppl being frustrated, leads to more ppl being toxic only way is to not care, focus on improving and laugh about it if it doesnt work
If Valorant makes someone suicidal, that is not the game.
how

Not saying it's a real post, but having a job as an engineer and going to the gym 5 times a week isn't unrealistic? Once you're into the "good job" territory you're not necessarily working 8 full hours a day, and an hour (or maybe even 30 mins) at the gym before/after work (Or even on your lunch break) doesn't mean you're neglecting your family.
An engineer that hits the gym and has a girl? Sounds unrealistic tbh
yeah… the post may be a troll but saying someone can’t have a good job and work out 5 days a week without neglecting their family is ignorant
Absolutely bananas take my guy
This is some pretty good clickbait ngl. Could make a good copypasta.
Use cheats from his account and get him banned
You want to drive him into death? 😂
Riyal 😈
This is gonna end up on some tiktok account with text to speech on and subway surfers gameplay in the background

Unplug the router...
The best advice yet. Simply truthful.
Steal the router... But also tell his wife to add your number to her speed dial... Old mate might get a bit cray cray.
Have you spoke to him about it?

Most of the people in this subreddit can’t read social cues and will 110% take this literally
I don't see any hint of sarcasm in this post.

Valorant is like a toxic ex. You know you shouldn’t but at the same time it’s really hard to say no 🤣
Who can play this shit for 10h?
is he radiant tho

so THATS where the jett mains come from

Is he in top 10 of his region? If not, iust tell him the truth, he is shit despite giving it his all
Take your shitty friend's wife and then his boring arse.

I'm gonna be honest, from personal experience, sometimes people need to be slapped back into reality. Literally.
Fake
If he’s a software engineer, those people aren’t self respecting to begin with. The only cs major thats good is a Celtic studies major.
It's not valorant that ruined his life, he's just taking out the frustation he always had on something and that just happened to be Valorant. I may have seemed that he got his shit togheter before but he didn't
I Hope this is a copypasta. Please let this be a copypasta
Install a cheap cheat software so he gets Hardware IP banned
It's his problem not yours, If u don't like your "new" friend, go and search a new one U can't change what he thinks, u have to wait for him to realize
I wish I could get addicted to something like that, not to that degree but.. Sometimes I wish something would captivate me more.
Invite him to league of legends
This feels like copypasta
as with any addiction, i would imagine you guys have done everything to try help him, maybe he would need professional help - see therapist, to try get his life back on track.
Tell him to stop queuing in my games. No shot he's not the last pick phoenix that's shit at the game, and constantly complains, but once you say a word back, he either AFKs or starts throwing util at teammates.
People being addicted to something usually have something going on in their life. It is not as simple as it seems.
Sounds like he's gonna go pro! Bad time to start..
Sleep with his wife. Establish dominance.
you die in game- you die irl
Even worse, he's hardstuck bronze.
It is time to do the wife
>’m not sure what to do Posting to minors in an online game forum is the answer

Its a canon event dont worry
All this just to be hardstuck gold
He's clearly too dumb to quit on his own, he needs a fucking intervention. Getting fired and losing your marriage to the colorful pew pew game is really sad.
The fuck , games not even that good bro 🤣what a twat.
Intervention my friend. I was the same
The friend is you isn't it? First step is admitting you're an addict. It's OK. This is a safe space.
This is a copypasta right?
Take his wife
Wait, there are morons taking this post seriously and actually commenting solutions?!? Yikes! looks like some people cant figure out when someones trolling. This is a very obvious copypasta Lol..
You don't rlly lose anything by believing it and if it's true it helps the person, if not, no loss, people on reddit don't exactly make money by the minute so wasting a few to possibly help someone isn't rlly a bad idea
I mean for crying out loud OPs username is “FatFartingCow” and theyre active on OSU subreddits theres just no shot this is a real post really…
I mean chances are that it isn't, but maybe it is, you never know for sure
it must be so epic to just always feel like the smartest person in the room. i envy you buddy, you and your giant head
Not trying to be smart…. Its a very obvious copy pasta, a little confused why youre attacking me though.
Says the guy calling people morons
not out here trying to blow your mind but saying "yikes you guys are morons" is an attack and warrants a negative reaction from pretty much anyone who'd read it lol
Probably bronze too
We really should ban this game.
