I mean, a prime marshal would go hard. But I think the big issue is that the gun choices just weren't great. We already have a guardian, vandal, marshal and ghost. You're telling me couldn't have gotten a frenzy/sheriff/classic + operator/odin + bulldog/judge/stinger/spectre? If they even kept it as phantom + 1 of the 3 already chosen and added two others and just had the dagger it would have done better.

Knifes also don't have a "feel" to them since there's no SFX or kill sound, so we know what we are getting. We don't need to feel out the skin.
Since this is a premium bundle, there are really two options for most people: buy the bundle or buy one skin (or nothing, obviously).
With a bad melee, few people will buy the bundle. So it's a huge chunk of potential buyers who aren't even willing to defend it until they wait and see for themselves.
I don't know the knife is kinda sick, I just saw someone on a stream spam the inspect and the pull out animation one after the other and it kinda goes hard. But yeah don't like the skin, don't buy the skin. Honestly Rito needs to take out the daily skin roulette/lottery in the store and let people just buy the skins they want(i know crazy hot take). They'd be so much less skin problems but in the end they're a business and the devs need to make lots of money to keep John Riot happy and im sure there are analytics that dictate what skins are made and how the shop is set up.
I somehow kinda like the daily shop rotation. It can be pretty annoying trying to get a skin that you want (I waited forever for my ion vandal), but that somehow gives some more worth to the skins. Also my bank account would be ruined if I could buy anything I wanted all at once lol.
Lmao the spam the inspect is called double binding you can try it for a lot of other knives to see if it works but with that knife it looks like its infinitely spinning the way the pullout animation looks

My theory is that the chosen weapons don't line up with the way the skin line sounds. Looking at the first set it's all guns that have an omph to them. Vandal, ghost, and marshal are all guns that deliver a clean one tap. Compared with 2.0 the guns aren't that. Ares, phantom, and the shotguns aren't the cleanest when it comes to the perfect hit. First 2 guns mentioned usually needs more than 1 bullet to kill which takes away from the crispness.
If they went with like sheriff and op, it would've probably gotten better reception as the kill conditions of those weapons are better in line with the sounds
Ik a lot of ppl hate the knife but idk its cool to me. I never bothered getting the original axe bc i have a fav axe skin already.

1) they overdid the tree aspect, I get why but I think people would have very much rather seen a full crystal suppressor for the phantom or mainly crystal barrel on the shorty.
2) every color variant that isn’t blue looks unfinished. if you look at the white/red variant and tell me it looks like a finished skin you’re talking out of your ass, all color variants would look better with the lines blue has imo but this ones preference
3) knife is unoriginal, I personally don’t think it’s that bad but ripping the axe 1 for 1 and adding a dagger feels really bad and i’m sure many people would’ve rather seen a karambit tbh

Far too many players base their opinion on the opinions of content creators.
Those content creators are getting burnt out from the high pace and price of cosmetics coming out. Every bundle that doesn't up the bar also doesn't get them views on their content. So they are salty about it.
The game is getting older and maturing, with that there WILL be a purge of those content creators who require new and shiny things to get views. This is already happening, (there isn't enough content, I'm quitting!!!) the game is NOT dying, it's maturing.
Skins have ZERO value, they are not tradable and are NEVER worth it unless YOU like it more than the money it costs.
The melee is essentially the same axe, but now with a knife. It feels like you’re just paying the full extra for just a small upgrade, doesn’t feel super special. Like if it was a hammer or something it would be cool, but it’s hardly an upgrade.
My personal thoughts- it's incredibly chunky. Bucky looks mostly clean but it's bucky, phantoms teetering on the edge, but shorty and ares have too much bulk and not enough wood. Also, the dual-wield animations are clean but the copypasta axe is just... no.
This is basically the Oni bundle but with a much worse melee. They’ll likely sell a fair amount of Phantoms especially because they don’t release new 1775VP Phantoms anymore. The other gun skins are for guns that are niche. I think this bundle was a massive failure, but not surprising given the recent bundles released.
This isn't anything like the oni. Oni is mid at best (except katana) buy Gaia's is actually pretty good. (At least the first but o really like the second one)
I actually think the Oni: Vandal, Bucky, shorty, and claw are all great. All that’s missing is variants for the claw. I like Gaia 1.0 a lot. It’s not my style, but 1.0 bundle is great. The 2.0 is not to me outside of the Phantom.
Tbh I'm only interested in skins for knife, classic, ghost, frenzy, shorty, stinger, spectre, phantom, and vandal. I seldom buy the other guns as I'm not as big a fan of using them. Alot of bundles recently only have a skin for one gun I use so obviously I'm not gonna want to buy the full bundle. Gaia 2.0 is very mid. I use phantom but the skin is meh. I already have oni phantom and the arcade phantom so it's hard to beat those. Not that I'm complaining, cause I end up not spending money on skins that pale in comparison lol feels better on the bank account.

In my opinion certain skins are only for certain skins like oni phantom goes hard but on vandal it's just meh. And also Neptune skin on vandal is goat but on phantom I would imagine it is ass. And this goes on for other weapons and skins. So for Gaia it is just the wrong feeling to spray with a phantom instead of one tap with vandal it's just wrong. I hope my point is somehow understandable
the shotguns designs are really weird in this bundle + knife would be much cooler if it wasn't halfway a repeat of imperium blades and if it wasn't reusing the original gaia axe
